Great, the King is now doing what THAT clown did on NES and Genesis. |

The clown is somewhat more well-known than whoever the hell these "Burger King characters" are supposed to be, though (I bought his Gameboy game...). Add in the fact that these games cannot possibly be any good, and I doubt this will make the 360 nor Burger King much more popular. (edited by Adamant on 04-10-06 07:34 PM) |

Isn't The Burger King a manager in some fighting game?

I don't know about the games can't possibly be any good. They could be surprisingly fun, who knows.
Still, I really don't think any gamer could in good conscience keep something like this in his/her collection. |

The King is more recognizable than you might think. Not to mention the fact that he's practically an internet icon, generalized as a badass. I'm not too sure about the other Burger King characters, though. They're more...child oriented. But who knows, perhaps this will turn out well.

This seems kind of dumb. Almost as if Burger King or XBOX or whatever is desperate to get more money or I don't know what, but I'm not a big fan of Burger King and I don't like XBOX so I can only have a little laugh at them.
If these are as fun as the little games I got at Taco Bell, then that's not very good. I think they could make better money by putting the Burger King Mascot into a football game. (edited by acillatem98 on 04-10-06 10:06 PM) |

Reading the TEXT on that memo is even worse because they want these games to be good as stuff like Halo or Forza Motorsport.
I mean, it's nice and all to end up with an above-average game you can sell for $5 and that might be worth the money, but the bar might be a tad high. |

I should point out that the people claiming the games won't possibly be any good have obviously never played MC Kids on the NES.
Yeah, it was the game with THAT clown, and you know what? It was fucking FUN. And hard too. Colin: The bar that Halo set isn't really that high. If the game has 3 levels, that beats out the original Halo, am I right (LEVEL DESIGN FOR HALO: 1. Outside Halo 2. Inside Halo 3. Repeat 1 and 2 several times. 4. OOH BIG TWIST AND INNOVATION! This time we'll KEEP YOU INSIDE HALO 5. Outside Halo. 6. And so on) Yeah. |

Reminds me about the game they handed out at Mcdonalds in Sweden for severeal years ago, it was a commercial game sure but it was actually quite decent apart from being too easy and having wierd glitches (such as being able to walk outsdie the area...)

Holy shit! I forgot about those BK kids!!! Maybe the King ate them?
It looks pretty freaking hilarious to me. I'll wait for this turd to show up in EGM. Seanbaby will probably have all the honor of ripping the games. |

Emptyeye: True. But even THEN the bar's still a wee bit too high.
BK's lawyers or whatever told Kotaku to take the image down and Kotaku basically told them to get lost. I <3 Kotaku. And as far as good free game promotions go... cereal boxes. I'm sure the States has gotten them, but once a year or so in Canada several cereals have free games - and they display which game on the front of the box so you don't end up with 50 copies of Scrabble. But some of the games they've distributed aren't bad at all... Monopoly Tycoon, Rollercoaster Tycoon 2, etc. Usually there's 6 games, 2-3 of them are kids games and the others are for all ages. Better than most promotions. |

That reminds me of Chex Quest. Or Doom for cereal eaters.

Chex Quest sucked.
I, absurdly enough, have beaten it. It was very unfun and obviously inferior to other things on the market... And really, the enjoyment is taken down quite a bit when you read that you're not killing things, you're just teleporting them away. |

Originally posted by Wurl Well, it uses the Doom engine, you can even run it in Doom legacy apparently. Though considering this game was aimed at kids, it wasn't a fact they basted about. |
