Never have, never will. Too many issues that I don't think would be good, and it's really not for me at all. And I've seen far too many people who started and then that was pretty much the entire basis of their lives. Their plans involved when they would next smoke up, their conversations with friends were little more than plans to smoke up and discussions of previous times when they had, etc.

I don't know how the hell people smoke pot, or anything at all: I can't even stand second-hand smoke. Although, if, and only IF, it never caused any permanent damage, I might consider it just once, just to see what it's like, otherwise, it is not for me.

Haven't lately. I wouldn't really be opposed to it in the right situation, but I'm not going to hunt it down. Ergo, option #4.

I know someone like that. Any time I see him, it's "I got so f@#$ed up last night duuude... you should try it with me! It's awesome."

Yeah, like I want to sound that lame anytime I see someone.

Granted, that's stereotypical of me, but if it keeps me away from the stuff, I hardly care.

Pretty much every weekend, and often once or twice during the week. It's always around and mad easy to get where I live, so I end up smoking quite a bit even though I barely seek for it.

I had a good friend Erick that was into this stuff. I was always fine with it because he never said anything to me because I didn't do this stuff. We always talked how we were going to go to college and become video game designers, we were really close. His dad worked at Mount Union, a college in Ohio, which he could have gotten in easier (or so I've heard). He stopped for a whole summer and was saying how much better it was. Then he started hanging out with those other people again. After that year of school, I haven't talked to him since. His older brother is going to Mount Union now, and I seen Erick a couple weeks ago walking the streets like a random thug. He went into life skills class and then ended up dropping out of those which seems sad and when I think about it, I probably won't see him again.

This is why I don't smoke pot or do any drugs for that matter. I don't know how bad they truly are, but it just seemed to control my friend Erick.

That said, those kinds of attitudes aren't typical of everybody who smokes. It seems to me though that it is a common attitude among younger people who are relatively "new" to it (it's also similar to the equally appalling attitude some younger people can have regarding alcohol).

It's disappointing that people with that attitude make everybody else who smokes look "dumb" by association.

Yeah, unfortunately some people are like that. People react differently to pot, and your friend appears to have been on a fairly extreme end of the spectrum. Not everybody is affected so profoundly by it or controlled as much, but it's very sad when people are. My brother was like that to a huge extent as well.

I'm philosophically opposed to any chemical, sensory-altering influence, so there you go.

I would much rather experience the world as it is, with as little distortion as possible.

First option for me on either kinds of smoking. Not my thing and the world is already crazy enough that you don't need to do it.

So, does that mean you're opposed to the sense of taste and smell? Because technically, tasting and smelling are chemical sensory altering influences.
[/bastard]

Anyhoo, I can't stand the idea of smoking anything. But then that's probably because both my parents smoked for the majority of my childhood, and my father still smokes regularly. I've seen the ill effects it has on their health and the smell (Of both pot and cigarettes), and I really have no desire to ever smoke it.

Actually, those aren't sense alteration, that's pure sense. Alteration would involve some kind of interruption at the interpretation or transmission stage of sensation, not the site-interaction.

i love the smell of christmas in the air, although i have too much work to do it more than once a week. it's also good for my head to not constantly be in a fog.

i like smoking halfway through movies, because it completely changes things. the other week my roommate and i were watching evil dead with our girlfriends. as the fake gore got more and more extreme and absurd, the movie became that much funnier.

it's also pretty entertaining to get confusingly stoned late at night and browse the internet, especially this place.

Never have, never will. Why? Because I'm a perfect wealthy man. I do have short terms of memory. Even though I smell it, I ain't gonna smoke it.

That could kill me and even the harms of DEATH.

Nope. Have absolutely no desire to, really. :\ I'm not going to bitch out anyone who does it or anything like that, just as long as you don't try to pressure me.

I only did some two times. First time was truly horrible as I ended up feeling alone in nothingness(or a feeling related to that). The second was much better, made me feel very well. However, I'm not really interested in smoking again ; I'd feel like I'm gambling with my own head seeing it could get me up as much as it could get me down.

I've smoked before, but I'm not crazy about it. It's nice, but I'm too lazy to buy and smoke it. Not that it's hard to get.
