Newbie question ahead:

I'm not farmiliar (at all really) with HEX editing. Therefor I have no way of known what the addresses to the levels are.

My plan is to edit the existing (original) levels to my liking. Add some enemies there, take out a pipe there... that sort of thing. But I dunno what the addresses are for the levels (i.e. 1AF is the address to the VANILLA DOME 2 level).

I've looked around. I've even Google searched. But to no avail .

@Bio: I think he means hex editing SMW in general.

If you go into LM, hit "Open Level Address" on the level you want, it will show you the number in hex (example go to level 104 - YOSHI'S HOUSE - and hit "Open Level Address" You'll seea number in the box, thats the hex.) You can just do that for every level to find out their values.

I THINK that was your question

Kinda. But I dont know what the level addresses ARE. Ok, I want to edit YOSHIS ISLAND 1. The first level (technically). But I can't open that level, because Id on't know it's HEX address.

Get it? I need the HEX address to each of the levels so that I can open and edit them.

Ok, lemme clarify one more time. You want to open and edit them in a HEX editor right? If so, I might be able to help you.

Sorry if I'm wrong again - I'm slow today

To clarify things.

Go into Lunar Magic. Go to File>>Open Level Number...

A box pops up. It says to put in the LEVEL address to open that level. Say I typed in 104. It brings up YOSHIS HOUSE (in Lunar Magic) for editing. What are the other level's HEX ADDRESSES? That is what I am asking. Not to edit SMW in a HEX editor, but I need the HEX addresses to edit it in Lunar Magic.

And thanks much Bio, your idea was spot on. Thanks also for everybody elses help.

Oh. Damn. See how slow I am when I'm tired? I didn't know you meant the level names, I thought you literally wanted to try hex editing the whole game. Forgive me

Wow, it took me a while to figure this one out.

For future reference: when you say "hex address," most of us naturally assume you want an actual address within the ROM data. Just say "level number," and there shouldn't be any trouble.

"Level number" and "hex address" are two entirely different things. For example, the hex address for YI1 is 0x30ad0; the level number is 105 (IIRC). The first number is useful if you want to edit in a hex editor.
