I played the older release of this, which was pretty creative with all the rocket boosters and speed boosters, so this looks good. I can't download it right now since I'm at my dad's (where we have dial-up, of all things ), but I'll find time to play it. Hope you fixed the thing where Mario fell through the speed boosters to his death - that gave me lots of problems. |

Actually, I'm not. He has at least three shades of green, but he used only 2.
And on a side note, he has the mind-blowing 256 colors in Super Mario Advance 2, don't know about SMW though. |

yeah, 8bpp format pwn, my userpics use it too, the wall jump stuff look fake since that kind of stuff require ASM and chaos force don't seem to be a ASM guy

Indeed. Though he really should make a somekind of a "Disable movement and controls" Flag at each turbo booster to avoid the problems. |

I must say, I love your artwork. This game's really creative, and so unlike any hack I've ever played before, thus it was very enjoyable. Awesome new graphics and custom blocks.
But here's a tip: Never, I mean never, use a Note Block with a Castle Sprite Tileset. But I blame FuSoYa for not putting it under the list of Tileset Specific Objects.
Now, as I said, it's creative. But the fact that the whole game was inside a castle got slightly boring. I'd like to see a regular, multi-themed hack from you. My advice? Leave SMWTC alone, move on, and save your swanky new ASM hacks for your next hack. |

That's actually very easy to fix with ExGFX. The only enemies you can't use after that are the wooden spikes and the grinders. |

Whats wrong with using a note block in a castle, besides the fact it doesn't suit it - unless I'm missing something |

I just got around to playing this, and I gotta say, I expected much better from you. The graphics and palettes were pretty drab and hurt my eyes. I typically don't like the idea of a one huge level hack, and yours didn't hold my interest. For one the level was very tough, the boost blocks were a bitch to get used to because I'd end up not jumping at the right time and falling to my death. Plus, if you die you've gotta start all over again and go through the same frustration. Wonderful. Maybe you intended for people to use savestates, but constantly hitting the button when you fuck up gets irritating. There are still some glitches lurking around like the note block in the castle tileset mentioned before, and then the glitch when hitting the "Red/Blue" blocks. Not to mention that small Mario is actually big, and then he can go under one-space-wide gaps, which looks pretty ridiculous. Overall I was not satisfied with this hack and it didn't please me. Sorry. |

Uhhh...it doesn't qualify as a tileset specific object in the game code. The order and sorting of objects on the object list comes from there. |

Bio: Sorry about that. I completetly forgot about it. I'll plan to use it in my next hack.
Racoon Sam: Yes he does need more shading, but with the time constrant that I was under at the time, I really didn't have time to mess with it to get it perfect. I'm lucky I even got it looking that good. Also the disable movement block would have been a great idea. I could look into it, but it wont be for this hack.
peter_ac: I know, the blocks can be annoying, but once again this failed to to a time constraint at the time.
Golden Yoshi: Well I'm sorry to hear that. You figure, if your in a castle, there isn't gonna be much graphic and pallette changes, although I could of done a different design with some of it and added a little color. The hat-less Mario problem I mentioned my self before and even included the answer in the readme of the original. Unfortunatly no one was able to help me on this, so I had to release it as is, once again because of the time limit I had. You can please some of the people some of the time, but you can't please all of them all of the time.....or something like that..
To everyone else: If you haven't figured it out yet, yes the wall-jump pics are fake. So if they fooled you, April Fools, to everyone else....I'll get you next year... |

Yes, but standard and tileset specific objects can have X/Y expansions. Extended objects cannot. That's why the note block is in the standard objects list: it can have expansions. |
