ummm i beat every level on luigi's world, the fortress twice and... nothing is happening.
Not doomship appears and the only places i can go are mushroom shop and fortress. what am I supposed to do? did u not include any other worlds? |

I can't believe that DahrkDaiz would make a Luigi Sprite in the NES version of SMB3. Plus the abilities Luigi have. I rather try to do the hex opticodes for the SNES version especially when it comes for my SNES hack. Separate tiles like Luigi makes me want to make an Oddish and a Pikachu Tile for Super Pikachu Bros. 3
This SMB3 stuff is really compliacated but I did make one SNES SMB3 hack. I'm expecting Hukka would make M3WS compatable with all-stars. |

I read the whole thread and it didn't say this. (Maybe in another thread in other forum/board). To see what smb3 version you have, download nestoy and decompress it on a folder. Open a cmd window and go to that folder. Type "nestoy -i 'full path of the smb rom'" (i.e: nestoy -i c:\games\nes\smb3.nes). It should show sth like this:
n SMB3.NES 4 H... 256kB 128kB U 2e6301ed Super Mario Bros 3 (PRG 1 CHR 0) 4 H... 256kB 128kB Bad [N---] 1 ROM found 1 ROM found in database Finished in 0 seconds. It this case it says it's a prg1 rom, so you must obviously use the prg1 ips. Here it shows the rom as Bad, but the "bad thing" is that the rom is not properly named ([N---]), but it doens't mean anything serious and it should work ok. Anything besides [N---], like [NH--] should mean that the rom has incorrect mapper info (H stats for header). So at most a rom with the "N" error is allowed to patch. With more errors than that you'll probably get undesired bugs. PS: for people with win2k. Edit nestoy.cfg and change the line where it says: WIN2000 = FALSE to WIN2000 = TRUE That's it. Good luck |

That demo is really great, the difficulty level is right, although there is a lack of extra lives (which can be bought only).
Another bug is the Ice Flower. If you obtain a power-up in that state (I got a leaf), the Ice Flower goes into reserve but shows the normal flower graphics. If you use it by pressing Select afterwards, you'll be morphed to Fire Mario instead of Ice Flower Mario. But since this is anyway only accessible using your cheat code. it's a minor bug since the secret power-ups are not accessible in both world 1 (if I didn't miss any spot). |

Wow, needless to say, you're really pushing foreward with this SMB hacking and making some HUGE progress, I'll give ya that. If there were SNES versions of your hacks, that would own more than having a PS3. |

Not sure, if these bugs have been mentioned.
1. The Castle Boss (You know the one with the spikes) seems to be "see-through" when jumping past the glass windows in the background. I know this bug was present in Mario Adventure too. So, prehaps if you made the sprite "solid" like Mario/Luigi then it'd look better. 2. When facing the world boss, (don't know the name but you know who I'm talking about) and you press SELECT to get your item, the leaf is blue... Should be brown, not blue. (This bug seems similar to Fireballs being green in original Mario 3 when in Mashroom House) 3. Lastly, the "fences" seem a tad hard to jump off. It's not like the ones from SMW. Perhaps some recoding to make it a little easier to jump from the fences would help. Good job, btw. |
