Well, I was thinking about the possibility of making a normal SMB3 styled Hammer/Sledge brother by raping some ROM offsets ![]() Well, first of all, change 0x15DD7 to EA EA EA to disable hammer bros. platform vertical movement. Now he moves only horizontally. Then, change 0x15DDA to EA EA EA to disable the horizontal movement. Now you have a still Hammer Brother. Then change 0x015C94 to EA EA EA to make the bugger turning around. Now you have a still Hammer Brother, which throws Hammers only into one direction. Of Course, the graphical editing of this little fellow is advised, if you know what I mean ![]() But is this possible? I haven't yet had the chance to try because Personal reasons and HEXedit problems. So I'd like a confirmation here.. ~Sam |

Well, there are some hacks with real Hammer Brothers already, and ghettoyouth's PITMK2 has Sledge Brothers (as a mod of Mega Mole) as well. But I don't see why this wouldn't work for another type of hammer brothers. In fact, I considered doing so for one of my worlds, but the moving platform plays a big role in an earlier level. | |||
