Since today is the release of Mario Kart DS in Europe, this is a perfect time to throw a tournament.

The tournament will take place online obviously and you'll need your friend code posted before you start playing. All the races will be one on one. You must get the most points obviously. Let me go over some rules.

1. You must post your friend code to register in the tournament. It will be impossible to find you in Nintendo WFC if you don't have a friend code. If you don't post your friend code, I'll skip your post and move onto the next person.

2. In case of a tie, play one more match and the winner of that match will move onto the next round.

I think that's all the rules for now.

When the tournament does get started, please erase all your other friend code except the guy your trying to face. That makes it much easier to face him or her. Also, try to be honest if you lost or win.

I think I found a better way to find your opponent without erasing your friend codes. Just make arrangements here in this thread.

Be sure to practice before the tournament begins.

Well yeah, you'll need it to go online. Just try to get the game before all the other slots are full.

...Wouldn't it be fair to wait a week or two in any event so that the Europeans can actually play the game instead of going into it cold?

I'm looking into getting Mario Kart and a DS, but that sure as hell won't be in the time for a tournament. So I'll just hold one of my own if I get it.

Dude, not only is it too early to start this, we only have 9 people with friend codes here. It ain't gon' happen.

Plus, I'm not deleting my 50+ friends list for this. If someone is on, I'll go up against them. There's a reason they made the lock feature.

I would enter since this week is my last week at Red Lobster, but unfortunatly I tried WFC at the closest McDonald's and... ummm... couldn't get on. It could barely find the connection and when it did, it asked for a WEP number. I could have asked the employees, but they were dumb in getting in orders. They would probably be like "What is that?" if I asked about the WEP...

I'll see if I can get on sometime this or next weekend. It will be tough to do it again, since my family HATES McDonald's food (We are more of a Burger King kind of family...). Plus, living in the middle of nowhere with the closest fast food restaurant twenty minutes away... yeah, no liscence yet either...

And dial-up is not good for WFC...

Well if the tournament isn't starting soonish (which appears to be the general consensus), I'm gonna go ahead and desticky this (I'll resticky it if/when it DOES start.)

But someone correct me if I'm wrong about that before I do so.

Given the nature of this thread, even if it does fall down, I have no issue with it getting bumped when/if the tournament starts. And at that time, I'll sticky it as I did with the TA tournament thread.

Small update: I've found a way to find your opponent without deleting friend codes. You just need to make arrangements in this thread when the tournament starts. I'll probably make the first round last around 3 weeks or longer.

You don't really need to organize friend codes. I have about 20 codes and they are not organized in anyway. I can't help you on organizing codes.
