Ancient treasure, big big big rewards if you didn't take the damn ring, the ring was all I wanted, damn it all, and you took it. Remember? The Ring of Faring? The one that I know you have on your left ring finger right this moment because every time I come within ten feet of you I can feel its power emanating from it? That ring? That one ring?" Sigmund reared back... "No? Fine, then. I'll make you remember." ...And lashed out, striking forward at Rufus' chest with all of his old body's unnatural strength, concentrated into one fist of pure vengeance... |

| Rufus stumbled backwards, nearly falling onto his back. He definitely wasn't expecting this kind of strength coming at him.
Rufus: Damn, man! I told you! I ain't got an idea on what you be talkin' 'bout! But if you wanna fight about it, then bring IT! There was a sound of metal clinking besides Sigmund's feet. Rufus turned around and looked at Rusty. Rufus: Rusty? What's this about, man? Rufus: *whine* Rufus: Uh huh... -------------------- ((This last half of the post I felt like doing for the hell of it  ))
Clara: What's wrong, Selk? Arminas: I'm worried about Allison. Normally I don't feel anything from the eggshell unless she's trying to contact me.. but there's something very stressful happening with her.. Clara: Has she been..? Arminas: I don't think so.. I think.. she's arguing with the people she's with. ----------- Charolette: So.... Allison is.. the Linnara.. Ever since I heard the rumors of the birth of the Linnara, I'd wonder what sort of person it would be. And after I was captured, my faith in the existence of the Linnara grew even stronger. The whole time, I prayed for the Linnara to help us.... to lead the people of the water to salvation. Charolette let out a big sigh. Allison took a step towards Charolette. Allison: Charolette.. Charolette: But... it's you! Thomas, who was leaning on a broken wall, fidgeted. The room they were inside of was a secret chamber in the Waterways. There wasn't much light inside of it, but one could tell that there was a lot of debris inside. Thomas had a feeling what was going to come. Charolette: Where were you while my friends were being killed one-by-one?! Living with Koehra? With Arminas? I have no one left! Charolette walks towards Allison, shoving the girl backwards. Charolette: All of my friends were killed and you did nothing! If you are the Linnara, then act like one, and fulfill your duty! Thomas: Miss Charolette, I think that's enoug-- Charolette: Don't you have anything to say to her?! After all, you've been in there longer than I have! Walter, what about you?! The flying man whom the adventurers had dealt with back in the ruins was kneeling in the center of the room. He had saved the three when they were cornered by the soldiers after the flood, and had told them to wait in the secret chamber. He was exhausted from fending off the soldiers, carelessness he said. Walter: I have faith in the Linnara.. Walter, no longer able to ignore his pain, collapsed onto the floor. Allison: Walter! |

Besides, I want to make sure it's the right ring, first. The countercurse should work within about four hours. Until then, you're coming with me. I've got some friends to find. No questions asked, got it?" He walked up to Rufus, and held out his hand. "Come on, you're just as lost as me. For the time being, we're partners. You don't fuck this up, and I might even consider letting you heist with me again. You do, and Rusty's gonna have himself a new owner, whether he likes it or not." |
