| Kurima bowed. She was even more relieved when she realized she could now spend her money on working on Gato.
Kurima: Thank you very much sir. All we need is a Gohma spawn's tail from the South Eastern Bowl area, and fresh water from the Kasuto Bayou. Kurima didn't bother asking if Nova was okay with going to such dangerous places. Kurima: There is a train station located nearby. With Glenn and Johnnathan, you can board the trains for free, since they know they work for us. I can't force you to leave right to go there now, since it's night time, but I hope you will go as soon as possible. |

Nalon let out a very irritated sigh as she marched out the room. Nalon: Might as well open up a resturant and inn while at this rate.. Kurima giggled. Kurima: Don't mind her. She's one of the friendliest people around until the sun goes down. |

| Johnathan: "Considering the position of the sun, I would say that rest is most definitely our best option at this point. We cannot simply putter around without being at one-hundred percent, or our chances of helping Miss Hikari will be greatly jeopardized."
He stretched a little bit... He didn't need to sleep at this point, of course. He had slept enough already. Realizing this, he instead opted to make up for his ineptitude by sitting up and making sure Hikari didn't get any worse. Maybe then he'd feel a little better about not being able to be there. |

Kurima had gotten a few stares. She then pushed her glasses upwards. Kurima: Er.. Sorry. Long day.... Anyways.. Kurima started pushing JD and Nova out the door. Kurima: You two keep the animals out there company while the food's getting made. *sighs* I'd really like to check up on Gato before reactive him.. Kurima turns her head and looks at Glenn and Johnnathan. Kurima: Hey, could one of you keep an eye on Hikari for me? |

| Johnathan perked up. His voice attained a strange stutter that he hadn't previously enjoyed the luxury of having.
Johnathan: "Oh, I will! I... it is the least I can do... Glenn has his genetic condition to attribute, but I... I could have done a lot more to ensure her safety. I am, after all, here to help protect the ranch and serve the family... Please, allow me to sit up with her." He bowed his head to Kurima, pleased that he had so conveniently gotten the opportunity to be of servitude again. |

Is this where you've been? Marin: Ahh.. y-yes... Kurima: And you haven't closed the gate? Marin: Oh! I'm sorry, Auntie Kurima! I'll close it right now! Kurima sighed as Marin bolted. Kurima: I'm sorry about how things look right now. We normally have our stuff straight, especially at night. Come, Glenn, Gato should still be lying underneath all the hay inside the barn. |

| Johnathan put his hand on her cheek as she faded into sleep.
Johnathan: "Only time can do that, Miss Hikari. You have plenty of it before you." As soon as she was asleep, he rose from his chair, and went out to the toolshed where all of the shoeing equipment for the horses was kept. He opened the lock and pulled the shed door open wide. There was a series of collapsable poles that all had deep notches and marks in them, wrought from years of use. He dragged them out of the shed, set them straight up and sticking out of the open horse pastures, and retreated back into the house. When Hikari awoke the next morning, she would find herself with all that she had requested and more. Knowing this, and saddened by the fact that he had done it, Johnathan returned to Hikari's room, and waited out the night. |

| Kurima: Well.. as Hikari would put it: "He's a giant tin can with cat ears that needs ta be given a beatin'" I don't know what he is, really.
Kurima opened the barn door. Kurima: It just looks like a large, rusty human-like thing. It's always been here, and we used to use it as something to protect the ranch. But, when Hikari was younger, she was determined to beat it so she can allowed to protect the ranch. And she eventually did.. Kurima smiled as she approached a large heap of hay laying in the corner of the barn. There seemed to be some signs of red metal underneath the hay. Kurima: She was allowed to help protect the ranch, but at the same time, she had to start helping with the ranch. We used Gato to do some chores around the ranch, see. |
