Sigmund had snuck up on them, moving wordlessly alongside them and eavesdropping on their interaction. He stood at the doorway to the egg house, and nodded, just as Lily had a few moments ago. "Much as I don' agree wit' it, Lily needs ta see this sort of action if'n she's gonna be the best there is at what she does. And it may jus' be that what she does ain't all that pleasant. I wouldn' worry 'bout 'er, either... If'n yeh need be, I'll keep 'er safe when things git hairy. It's tha least I kin do..." He walked up to Lily and whacked her on the head, Lucas-style. "An' you! Yeh need ta stop thinkin' yeh can jus' take on the world like Arminas or Ark can, 'cause right now, considerin' who yeh are and how strong yeh are, yeh CAN'T! An' I can tell ya frum experience, which is def'nitly somethin' yeh need a LOT more of! ...lousy kid, makin' me swear ta protect yeh on me own honor..." He stalked off back into the house to hear the rest of Cedric's plan, leaving Ark and Lily behind yet again. |

Lily: Hmph.. It's not like I actually walk out in the middle of a fight. I know I'm supposed to stay back. 
Sigmund immediately walked back out, followed by Pioshi. Sigmund's dramatic exit was destroyed. Pioshi: I didn't expect to see you all here. I overheard that your friends would be assembling by the rear exit of the village. Lily: Hey, that's not what I heard before. Pioshi: They were just told it was faster to get where Cedric was by going there. Lily: Bleh. Well, whatever. That works. C'mon, Drenchy. Lily turned around and started walking. She folded her arms behind her head. Lily: So much negative talk. You guys need to lighten up a bit. I don't need to start getting gray hairs like Teach. |

Lucas: Is everyone ready? Everyone nodded. Lucas: Good. Then let's get going. The path behind the Yoshenyoshi village was full of all sorts of plantlife. Everyone had to literally push their way just to get out. After that, the path seemed to turn into another mountain path. |

| Lucas: Well.. we don't know yet. Cedric told us he'll tell us when we get there.
Which didn't take very long. Quoshi: This way, everyone. Quoshi waves his tiny arm at everyone from a high ledge that oversees the path through the canyon. The ledge is actually placed ontop of the entrances to the Waterways ruins. Lily: Whoa, I would never think of looking up there. Arminas: ... Let's just hope they think like Lily. As soon as everyone got to the top, Cedric turned to face them. Cedric: The unit that's escorting Allison will arrive shortly. I will now explain the plan. First, Lucas and Lily. Lily holds up her arm momentarily after she got off of Ark's back while Lucas nods. Cedric: When I give the signal, unleash every crystal ome attack you have at the head of the formation. That'll slow them down and direct their attention toward the front. Lily: No prob! Lucas: Alright. Cedric: When Lucas and Lily begin their phase, Quoshi, you immediately begin yours. Quoshi: We shout at the top of our lungs with the team hiding on the ledge across from us. Cidoshi: Leave it to us! Yoshi! Cedric: That leaves us with Arminas, Clara, Sigmund and Ark. The three of you hide in the shadows down there, just a bit further from the entrance of the ruins. I'll get close to Allison and throw out a smoke bomb. When that happens, Arminas and Clara will jump out and secure Allison, while Ark and Sigmund, you begin running through their troops, adding more confusion. After that, those who are on ground level, enter the Waterways and make your escape using the emergency passage. Alright? Arminas: Got it. Clara: Understood. Cedric: Also Ark, seeing as how restricing the area is, please refrain from blowing stuff up and causing a mess just for kicks. Ark walked over the edge of the cliff and started to slide down. "I guess it is a rare sight to see omes explode with raw power. It is really a waste to use them like that, but it is so much easier in the end." Ark hit the bottom and dashed off to hide in a tree. He would be completely out of sight to anyone advancing, but anyone from behind would know he was there easily. "Without the experience to use crystal omes, it's the only thing I can do anyways." |

| Arminas looks at Clara, who looks back at him. She turns her head and lets out a little "hmph".
Cedric: Will you two be okay or will I have to deem you both mental unstable to carry out this little task? Lily: Yeah, you two really need to get along. Cedric: It is a shame really. That the key to this operation's success will be your ability to work together. Which means....right from the get go I will deem this operation a failure. Quoshi has seen you two in close proximity. From what I can tell, there is a better chance of me suddenly sprouting rainbows out of my mouth and handing lollipops to everyone than for you two to suceed. Clara: Alright alright. You don't have to lay it on so thick. Clara quickly scaled down the wall, while Arminas slimply slid down the wall. Lily: ... Was that even possible? As soon as they reached the ground, Arminas ran over behind some small brushes while Clara hid behind a large rock. It was almost time. |

Ark was shocked to hear the voice while he was awake. "Are you going to kill them?" "No." "Are you going to run? "No." "You're going to kill them all aren't you, you're going to try and settle everything because your pride was hurt "No one is going to die by my hands... I won't even have to fight, I just need to cause confusion. "It's stupid you know. You have the power to kill an entire army, yet you won't use it. Why should you care about the soldiers families and everyone they knew? "I shouldn't, I'm stupid for caring. Ark ignored the voice, but its messages broke into his thoughts several times. |

| Everyone had finally gotten settled in when the detachment unit finally made it to the canyon. Cedric stood beside Lily and Lucas, watching the soldiers march by. In the middle of the unit were three mechanical, topless wagons, each one with a prisoner onboard. Allison was on the front wagon. The commanding officers, Danielle and Stingle were leading the unit.
Cedric: Phaere isn't around it seems. How incredibly fortunate and joyous it is for us to only have Danielle and Stingle. I am happy beyond words. Look. Look! I tremble...or not. Geez. Only two? These two? I have half a mind to simply take a nap right now. Cedric took in a deep breath, and turned to Lily and Lucas. Cedric: It's time to start. Ready? At the count of five...5...4....3....man, what the hell? Why am I counting? Just attack them already. Do you know how stupid it is to count down? I hate counting down. It is like you spend so much time trying to plan the countdown, then think up a number to start from, then midway you have that idiot who always asks "Oh, what are we counting down for?" then you end up losing count. Thus making you start all over. The world would be a better place if people just attacked. No "Okay, on three!" No "How about now?" Always wasting time. Pfft. Lily & Lucas: ... ???: YAAAH!! Lily: Hey, that's not right.. Lucas: did Quoshi's group go first? Cedric: Excuse me, what? Tell me you are kidding. Did you actually hear that scream? That is like, not even close to Yoshenyoshi's voice. The three of them look over to where the Yoshenyoshi are. A bunch of raggedy clothed men jump out of nowhere, firing arrows at the soldiers while holding their mini-crossbows sideways. Lucas: It's those bandits! Pitch: Let them have it, muchachos! ---------------------------- Clara: What's going on out there? Arminas: I don't know, but we have to stay here until we get the signal. | Danielle and Stingle begin weaving in and out of the rain of arrows.
Danielle: Who dares attack us?! --- Rufus: LET'S JAM! HOOO-AAH! Rufus, Rusty, and some more bandits appeared behind the detachment unit. As soon as the arrow fire stopped, a few soldiers tried to rush at Rufus and Rusty. However, Rusty lunged at the soldiers, ripping apart their armor with quick slashing movements. Rufus backhanded the only standing soldier from Rusty's attack. Rufus: Payback TIME, ya'll! Where's mah horny woman at?! Stingle momentarily looked at Danielle's horned helm. Danielle, able to hear Rufus' loud mouth, clenched her whip and signaled several soldiers to accompany her as she marched to the back of the unit. Cedric: Oh my...Did you see that? Military trained soliders were ambushed by bums! A bunch of stupid bandits! This task is going to be easier than I thought. Seriously. Who needs to worry? Just let the stealth bums take out those soldiers who didn't even seem them coming and we shall be set free. Man. I just love how things work out. Oh well, might as well give the signal to Ark and the others. Lily, Lucas, back them up. Cedric chucked several smoke bombs close to where the wagons were. Clara: What's going on? | Ark dashed, not thinking about what was going on, just on his task. He ran into a line of soldiers, saw one brandish his weapon and deflected it. He jumped over another wave of soldiers and started to run through their line. He jumped into the air, kicking a few soldiers on the way to see if Arminas and Clara had saved Allison yet. | |||

Stingle's image appeared infront of Arminas and Clara. Arminas: Stingle! Clara: So this is Stingle the Vicious.. --------------- Danielle ran up to where Rufus was. Rufus: 'Sup, horny baby? You miss me? Danielle had a glare that would set a man on fire. Danielle: You'll regret this! Rufus: I didn't get mah good-night kiss last time at the hideout. Now.. That whip.. mah moves... Fittin' some fun to be had... Danielle: Grrr! ------------- Meanwhile, Allison managed to jump out of the wagon she was in, thanks to all the chaos and smoke. She threw the ropes that had binded her hands onto the ground, and started sneaking up onto the other wagons. One of the nearby soldiers caught notice of her. Fortunately, the soldier was taken out by one of Lucas' bolts of lightning. Lucas: Allison made a break for it. Cedric: Lucas, you keep backing her up. Lily, Stingle's in Arminas and Clara's way. Lily: Right! |

Ark found himself surronded by a group of soldiers. They didn't look confused. Ark reacted as the first soldier tried to thrust a spear at him. The spear was snapped by Ark's spear and a swift kick by Ark sent the soldier backwards. Ark stabbed at another soldier, catching him in the shoulder. Ark ripped the spear out and smashed it against another soldier's head, leaving him knocked out. Ark broke their circle and started to make passing by blows against other soldiers, bringing them down to their knees or making them fall over. "Come on..." "You're going to die if you keep trying this." |

| The ground started to tremble around Ark. Just as several soldiers got up to their feet, they were knocked back down as pieces of ground shifted around, sending them back to the ground.
Lucas: Lily! You're suppo-- Lily: I know! I just wanted to do it just once. -------------------- Allison: C'mon, Charolette! Charolette: What's going on? Allison climbed onto the middle wagon, which had blonde girl, wearing clothing that didn't seem to be normally worn by people, but could easily be thought to be high class. Allison: Worry about it later, just run! Allison untied the girl, then set off to jump onto the next wagon. Charolette: Run?! But... Allison: Hurry! ------------- Arminas: I heard Allison's voice! Clara: Selk, look out! Stingle closed in on Arminas, who was currently distracted. However, the black knight was forced to leap backwards as large chunks of rocks pierced through the ground before him. Lily: Darnit! Why do earth moves have to be so easily avoided? Clara, hearing Lily's voice looked up. Clara: It's ok, Lily. It still helped! Lily: But I could've gotten that guy good if only I knew Ground Dasher... |
