Ark turned around and started to walk out of the cave. His vision was starting to get blurry and his eyes were irritated, how long had he been awake? Clara: Is something wrong, Lily? Lily: No, nothing. Lucas opened the door to the largest house. The interior seemed to be similar to that of a child's room, with books, tools, and random objects littered around. However, most of the mess was pushed against the walls, making it seem a bit more neater around the center of the room and the path to stairs. Cedric: I thought I might have to send someone after you. Your daughter is upstairs with Cidoshi. Lucas: Thank you. Cedric: Please take a seat, everyone. Lily: Where? There're no chairs 
Arminas: I figured chairs would be slightly odd for something like a Yoshenyoshi. Lily: Oh.. I guess you're right. Atleast the floor's pretty comfy... Cedric: Everyone settled? *clears throat* According to the request I received, you want to know Gregorious' whereabouts and objectives, correct? Arminas: Tell me if Allison's all right. Cedric: ... That wasn't part of the request. 
Clara: Keep quiet, Selk. Arminas: Then stop trying to rush things along without me! Lucas refrained from scolding Arminas. Cedric: .. Normally, I only provide one piece of information at a time. However... I'll make an exception this time, since you helped Quoshi and the others. Cedric brings out a sketchy map of Neo Grape Gardens. He lays it out infront of everyone. | Ark found himself standing in the middle of a lake. A thick fog hung over the air, trying to sufficate Ark. Ark reached for his spear, but it was gone. He looked around, to see if there was anything he could do. Ark heard something land in the water, it was very quiet though. He heard it again, and again, in a pattern, like foot steps. He turned to look where the sound was coming from and saw the figure of someone.
"Who are you?" "Who are you? Why are you hear? Ark thought he remembered the voice. "Guests should introduce themselves first." Ark figured that this was all in his mind, he was standing on water after all. "Yes, they should. There was an awkward silence for a few seconds. "I'm Ark. A forced traveler of sorts.' "You're also going to cause more problems than you can fix with your traveling." "You don't think I know that!" Ark felt incredibly angry all of a sudden. Was this person manipulating him? "Then why do you continue, why don't you just let yourself die? "Because... one day... I want to go back and live in peace at my home. One day, I want to put this all behind me and keep living." "No matter how many things die because of you?" "I do my best to never kill an innocent creature." "Really? You were very violent with those Divas, you destroyed part of the Crystal Forest, and you've killed soldiers for no good reason. Maybe you should just stop killing entirely and redeem yourself by offering your life to death." Ark was taken aback. "I can't risk being foolish... I have to kill to live and if that means I have to kill anything that attacks me, I will!" "It's so much easier when you can't remember your childhood. Did you ever think of the soldiers family or the creature's kin that would die without their family member to support them? Have you ever wondered just how much suffering you cause by dragging that girl all the way across the world. What about her family? What if she gets killed because of you?" Ark was silent. The person however wasn't. "What about Lucas and his daughter Hailey? What would've happened if Arminas hadn't saved the Yoshenyoshi? If you had been around Arminas and in full health, would he have risked his life if he noticed you risking yours? You already know you couldn't bust out, but you'd try to go and save the Yoshenyoshi, just to miss, I saw it in your mind before Arminas jumped to save the creature." Ark felt something grab his ankle, suddenly he was filled with courage and determination. "Lucas and Hailey have to work that out themselves, I'm not concerned. Arminas would've saved the yoshi anyways. Lily won't die and the families of the creatures I killed would've just grown up to try and kill innocents anyways. If they live or die, it's no concern to me!" Ark looked on as two hands covered his eyes and when they were taken from his eyes, he was somewhere else completely. |

| A yoshenyoshi was wandering outside when he noticed Ark. He tilted his head and let out a random "Yoshi?". The creature started to waddle towards Ark, but stopped when he noticed the man was in a deep sleep. He then shrugged and walked towards the lake.
------------------------- A yoshenyoshi waddles into the room, and quickly moves towards Cedric. He whispers to Cedric, and then quietly leaves. Cedric: Thank you. *clears throat* Allison is being escorted by a detachment of Gregorious' army, which is currently moving through this area.... and we're here. Cedric points at some canyons on the west, and then points at a mountain next to a lake. Lily: Ally's pretty close by! Arminas: Do you know where they're headed? Cedric: They're likely going to rendezvous with Gregorious' main force... here. Cedric points to a location northwest, pretty close to the edge of the island. Clara: What is the main force doing? Cedric: It appears they've entered the Ruins of Frozen Light. Lily: What?! Lucas: You've heard of them, Lily? Lily: They're famous among treasure hunters as some of the hardest ruins to crack. Cedric: The Ruins of Frozen Light have seals placed not only on the entrance, but inside as well. With all the strong security, it's been rumored that some great secret of Neo Grape Gardens rests inside. Lily: From what I've heard, no one's ever made it to the deepest part of the ruins. |

| Ark had a new surronding around him. It was water everywhere, all around. He could feel someoen holding onto him as they sank deeper into the water. Ark could amazingly breath in the water like it was air. He reached behind him, grabbed the person who was behind him and turned around. Her purple hair covered her face completely and her familiar purple dress floated in the water. Ark thought he was in paradise.
"How are you here? You shouldn't have been able to follow me!" Ark waited in silence for a few minutes and then he realized. This was all a dream, none of this was real. Just his mind playing tricks on its lonely self. The dream world evaporated and Ark couldn't remember what else he dreamed. |

He sighed. One of his first real leads back when all of his own personal problems had started... "Even I ain't been in there all the way. Them seals do a lot more'n jus' keep people out! There's a special enchantment cast on 'em that harms any'n who wants ta pass 'em. The wors' part izzat the pain don't go away 'til yeh're out of the place. End result's that yeh can't do it alone 'less yeh're a physical tank, or yeh're incredibly stupid." He looked at Cedric's sketched out map... In this case, experience definitely wasn't a kind teacher. "Me own guess izzat Gregorious is bringin' 'is army in ta absorb the seals 'n let 'isself get in. The seals can on'y attach ta one person, an' then they're outta commission til that person leaves the ruins... If'n I were younger I'da gotten at least almos' all the way there, but as it stands, I ain't been able to get more'n four or five seals in... Cedric, I'm sure you mus' 'member that time..." Sigmund sighed yet again. This was a very sigh-y day... He had refused to sit down, and from his position, leaned against the wall with his arms folded, he began to look only slightly less old and feeble. It was, however, still just an illusion. "I ain't too privy to lettin' innocent young girls..." At that point, he had glanced over to Hailey. "...Or beautiful young women..." With a glance to Lily... "...Be settled with tha' degree of pain 'n' sufferin'. Cedric, if'n yeh ain't got a way ta git us in there, an' yeh're the on'y one who knows what's in there, I ain't exactly thinkin' the best is yet ta come." |

| Yoshenyoshi: So, you've awaken!
The creature, a blue yoshi wearing only an orange vest, momentarily stood infront of Ark. He was pulling a tiny wagon full of freshly caught fish.. Masashi: I am Masashi, of the Yoshenyoshi! He holds out one of his hands, outstretched. It was a typical Yoshenyoshi greeting gesture. Masashi: Why are you not with your friends? ------------------- Cedric: I hate to agree with the old coot, but he's right. Cedric stands up, and walks around a bit. Cedric: Knowing the kind of man Gregorious is, he will certainly have had sacrificed people to get by the seals.. And.. with Allison's power, Gregorious will uncover the secret of the ruins. I'm almost certain that is what he's trying to do. Lucas: So, just what is the secret? Cedric: I would guess that this is connected to the war that the Cruinidad Empire is waging. The Cruinidad Empire is Gregorious' homeland, after all. I wouldn't be surprised if the ruins contained a weapon capable of turning the tide of a war. I think Gregorious has obtained some kind of information about that place and what it holds. Lucas: It must be something terrible if sacrifices must be made to reach it. Clara: Cruinidad is at war with my homeland. I have to do something. Lucas: But how? Assuming we don't have to deal with the seals due to Gregorious already-- Arminas: All we have to do is rescue Allison. Clara: If it were that easy, we wouldn't be sitting here wringing our hands! We're up against an entire army! Quoshi: Fear not, friends! We'll help, too! Pioshi: We're gonna help rescue Allison! Cedric: Quoshi? Pioshi? Cidoshi: It's our turn to return the favor you've shown us! Cedric: But there's no way you could do that! Cidoshi: If you think up a plan, I'm sure it'll work! Yoshi! The Yoshenyoshi brothers begin to hop around Cedric. Quoshi, Pioshi, & Cidoshi: Ce-dric! Ce-dric! Ce-dric! Ce-dric! Ce-dric! Cedric: Alright, alright. Feh. Quoshi, Pioshi, & Cidoshi: Yoyoshi! |

Cedric: Yes, we have more resources.. but.. Cedric stared at the map for a few moments before looking at everyone. Cedric: Alright. I've got it. Thank Arminas and his constant outbursts. Arminas: ...
Cedric: We'll mount a surprise attack before the detachment rendezvouses with the main force. I know the perfect place. Cedric pointed west of their location, but a bit south from where the detachment forces were. Cedric: It's surrounded by tall cliffs, and the army's movement will be restricted. Lucas: Wasn't there a ruin around there, too? Cedric: Yes. The Waterways. That's part of the reason I chose this spot. Cedric: We don't have much time. I'll head there first. Quoshi, get your crew ready. Quoshi: Okey-dokey! Cedric: We'll meet at the entrance of the Waterways. Just take the rear exit of the village, and head nine o'clock. I will come up with a plan when I get a better layout of the area. Quoshi has already told me your abilities, and I will take account for them. |

Ark stood up. It was a short sleep, but he felt a lot better. "You got those fish from this lake right?" Ark looked out towards the lake, spearing a fish wouldn't be hard, and there were trees around for cooking. |

Masashi pulls a bit on the wagon with fish. Masashi: Indeed. There has been a surplus of fish in this lake, so I have taken the liberty of catching a bit more than usual. Masashi stops pulling the wagon, and waddles over to pick up a fish that slipped out. Masashi: It's always nice to have a friend nearby even when you're going through hardships, is it not? ------------------------ Lucas: ... Looks like we'll be traveling together again after all.... As thanks for looking after Hailey, I'll forget about that stunt you all pulled on the mountain path. But just this once. Arminas simply looks down without saying anything. Clara: This doesn't mean I trust you. Don't you forget that. Clara glared at Arminas. Arminas: ... Lily: Oh, come on! Can't you two get along? We're all friends here, right? Clara: Did you forget what you did as well? Lily: Aahh.. eh heh. |

| "It is nice to have friends around for help when you need it, but they have to be able to find you."
Ark walked over towards the lake and waded in to his waste. He held his spear above the water and suddenly threw it into the water. He dived under the water and pulled it out, a fish stuck on the end. He walked back to the shore, and grabbed twigs and fallen wood. "It is also nice when you don't need to depend on anyone though." Ark put all the twigs in a pile and held his spear above it. Light focused from the sun, through the spear, and into the twigs, causing them to catch fire. Ark found bigger sticks to keep the fire going and just used his spear to roast the fish. To bad it can never be instant. |

Cedric then went out, along with Quoshi and Cidoshi. Lucas: After everyone's prepared, let's all meet at the center. Lily: I'll go get Drenchy! Lily hopped up to her feet and quickly skipped out the door. Everyone else stood up. Lucas: Also.. Pioshi.. Pioshi: Leave Hailey to me. I'll escort her safely to the city. Lucas: Thank you. Pioshi: No problem! Melting a girl's frozen heart is what bards do best. |

| Lily: Sheesh, Drenchy. I thought you would've been actually asleep. Now I won't feel guilty for eating the smoked fish I picked up for ya.
Lily reached into her side pouch and immediately took a chunk out of the fish she had gotten from the marketplace. She then sat down besides Ark's fire. Lily: CC said he's got a plan. There's a small group of soldiers that has Ally. They're supposed to be coming by somewhere that's close to here, and we're gonna ambush them. Lily took another bite. Lily: CC also said he'll tell us what to do after Q tells him our abilities. Boy, is he going to be surprised when Q tells him what you can do. ------------------- Lucas stood outside the large house. He simply stared at the top floor. Arminas: .. Lucas. Lucas: Not now. But later. Things will flow more smoothly if it's carefully thought over. Lucas continued to stare up. Lucas: Hailey's mother, knowing that, still did things without thinking. It was more fun.... Come on, Arminas, let's get going. Arminas: Right. |

Ark laughed, he was only half serious. "I hope he's good... and that he understands I'd lose to someone with equal strength to me. Nobody has noticed, but if I were to try and fight Arminas or Clara, I wouldn't be able to win until they were tired." Ark sighed. "I want you to stay in the back though, I don't even want you to try and fight if you see me getting killed." |

And as the leader of the party, I will not allow myself to witness a party member falling in battle without getting them to safety! Lily nodded twice before finishing her smoked fish. ----------------------- Lucas: Seems as though as we're the only ones ready. Arminas: I think Clara went about looking for a blacksmith. Lucas: A blacksmith? Arminas: Yeah, I thought it was weird too, but I guess these little guys can do it all. |
