The boy ran into the cave. Eventually, everyone caught up to the boy. The entrance of the cave quickly changed from a rocky terrain to one full of wooden walkways. The main walkway turned into another area with the cave. Beyond the walkways house a giant mechanical contraption, with steam pouring out, and loud whirring. There were small lights set up here and there to light up the way to the village. The boy bows with a smirk. Cedric: That's right. I'm Cedric. Pleased to make your acquaintance. Arminas: Argh, I can't believe the sneaky bastard was Cedric all along! |

| Sigmund: "HaHA! I knew 'e looked familiar! An' there's on'y one kid in the whole world'd slip ME an explosive."
Sigmund hobbled up to Cedric. There was no use at all trying to hide in here. If there was one person on the entire island better than Sigmund at sneaking around, it was him. And that included finding other hidden buddies. "So why didn' yeh let me know it was you back at the town? Surely yeh recognize me, don' yeh?" He poked Cedric in the head, hoping his old friend would realize... "I ain't lookin' that old now, am I? Remember? Three years ago, yeh was just a weer lad than yeh are now... We were all a lot younger back then! Especially me..." |

| Cedric pushed Sigmund's hand away.
Cedric: I needn't be reminded about times that far... But I must say, 'Old Man', time has not been kind to you. I wouldn't have believed it if I didn't hear it from the Yoshenyoshi. Lucas: I wasn't aware you were acquainted with him. Cedric: Well, you know. A bastard like Sigmund Rexious gets to know all sorts of people. Isn't that right? Cedric turned around and started walking into the next area. There were all sorts of buildings that were actually inside a large cave. Wooden crates were located here and there down in the central area, where the market place seems to be located. Fresh fruit and fish were placed on the stands in the center. Sigmund followed closely behind Cedric. The boy had nearly slipped the bill there on him. Why so much emphasis on his age? He had already proven that his condition had only drawn from a portion of his former youthful strength. "So, yeh're gonna help us now that yeh know what we're doin' here, right? I'd hate ter 'ave ta show ya why yeh're on'y second-best again..." |

Lily: What?! Cedric: I kid. Lily: Phew.. Cedric: Maybe. Lily: Hey, we worked really hard, buster! Pioshi: Oh, he only speaks in jest. Cedric stopped walking for a moment to let Sigmund stand next to him. Cedric: I'm sure Her Excellency will not be too pleased knowing a senile old goat has been speaking so casually about stuff like that... Lucas stopped walking as the group stepped by a small structure. Lily: What's with the scary face, Teach? Lucas: There's nothing scary about it

Sigmund: "And I'm sure Her Excellency wouldn't be pleased to know that one of her most loyal subjects isn't exactly helping in the search for her lost kin... If you know what I mean." As soon as the news had been broken, however, Sigmund's old bastard self re-emerged... "Eh? The lil' girl?" He glanced over at Lucas for a moment... "Yeesh! Who'd sleep wit' 'im?" |

The girl stepped out from hiding, which wasn't really much of a hiding spot to begin with. Hailey: As much as I might wish otherwise, it's true. I took my mom's last name, not my father's. Arminas: So that's it... Clara: ...How old are you? Hailey: Nine. Lucas: Hailey was born when I was nineteen. Arminas, Clara, & Lily: What?! Lily: Teach, you're only twenty-eight? No way! Ark had just been quietly walking behind everyone. "Just be glad he didn't end up being 24 or something, then you could be shocked!" Ark weakly laughed, hoping it would get them past this low mood. Ark's eyes were staring at Sigmund the entire time. He'd seen his lips move at an angle, and they didn't seem to be moving like they normally did. Ark didn't want to worry about it though. |

Hailey: Again? It's more like, "Pleased to meet you." Lucas: .. Hailey.. I.. Hailey: It was worth it, coming all the way here from the mainland. I finally got to see the criminal's face. |

Hailey: You're not planning to make excuses now, are you? Lucas: ... of course not. Hailey: But now I hear that you of all people are pretending to be a sheriff on Neo Grape Gardens. Unbelievable. A criminal acting like a sheriff. Hailey paused for a moment, and then turned her back to Lucas. Hailey: .... Why didn't you ever come to see me? Lucas: I was exiled. Surely you know that. Hailey turned around and swung her arms in the air. Hailey: I know that! I know.. but.. Hailey's voice starts to break up. Hailey: Don't get me wrong. I don't care about you at all. But Mom... Mom.. Hailey began to sob. Arminas looked to the side while Lily scratched their head. Hailey: Mom died! And you didn't even come to her funeral! Lucas: ... Hailey: I hate you! Hailey ran off further into the village. Cidoshi immediately ran after her. Arminas: Hailey! ... Lucas, hurry up and go after her! Lucas: That's not my place, after all I've done. |

"Who else is going to take care of her if you don't?" Ark didn't care on the inside, but part of him, probably brought on by the lack of sleep, did. "You heard her! Who else can comfort her and try to make her feel better with her mother dead? Or would you prefer her to sulk forever?" Ark practically shoved Lucas in the direction Hailey ran. |

Lucas: ... Cedric: ... She'll be alright. She's with Quoshi. Arminas: When was the last time you spoke to her? Lucas: When she was small enough to fit in my arms. Arminas kept quiet. Pioshi: .... Come, come. Let's talk more at our home! Quoshi: It's in the back of the village. Which was, coincedently, in the direction Hailey ran in. Quoshi: We'll wait for you there! Lucas started walking forward after Cedric, Quoshi, and Pioshi quickly headed towards their house. Lucas: Hailey has been living with her grand parents since her mother died a few years ago. | Lucas's eyes were now hidden beneath his shining spectacles.
Lucas: Now isn't the time for this, Ark. We're in the middle of important matters. And I hope you all will behave. This is a serious matter. Lily: I don't know, Teach. It's gonna be awfully hard with all this cuteness laying around.. Lily felt like she was being glared at, but couldn't tell with Lucas's glasses shining too much. She shook her head and looked on ahead. All the houses looked like giant eggs. The house in the back of the village just happened to be the biggest one, which looked like a two story egg. |
