I'm not aware of anything for XBox, though considering what the XBox is, I'd imagine that most music is rippable to a PC playable format (such as MP3, OGG, or something of that sort). As I'd imagine would become more and more common with newer consoles. Making a specific ripping format for these kinds of consoles would be useless in that event. But note that this is just a big assumption and might totally be false.

As for Gamecube... HCS (author of 64th Note .. bringer of USF) brought this up on ZMD a while back: Click here. I haven't tried it out, myself... and the description in that thread is rather confusing.

Speaking of ripped music... Why is it that so many soundrips exist for PC-Engine games but, none that include The Legendary Axe games? LA1 had beautiful background music yet, no soundrip of it or the second game seem to exist. I just don't get it.

Well considering that almost all the modern games use mainstream "music" instead of original and interesting notes.... it'd probably be more effective to encode Ogg Vorbis or MP3s of GameCube, Xbox, PS2, etc games instead of sharing raw data.

What has the one to do with the other?

Ok, mostly those consoles have tendency to have less and less on the fly generated sound as back in the pre2001 days.

I've tried v0.11 and the SSBM music works perfectly.
