I think I did Bubble Man first my first time playing, but I usually did Air Man since that's what the manual suggested. Now I do Metal Man first since I love the Metal Blades.

As far as order for Megaman2 went it didn't really matter half the masters went down to the mega buster alone but order-wize and getting all items fast I always went.

Bubble
Flash
Air
Crash
Heat
Wood
Quick
Metal

Now back on topic as to Rockman's hack first I say an all out edit would be nice we need a new Rockman Exile out here.
Second I half agree with the idea for an Intro stage it sounds like a great idea but having to give up a robot master and leaving us with seven doesn't sound like a good idea.....Hre's one though is there a way to make a level have multiple uses? Here me out here could you replace the final stage in the fortress (the one with just red acid driping as the only sound) with the intro stage and at the end fight whatever Intro boss you have AND at the same time have it still the last stage of the fortress so you'd have an edffect similar to X2 where the last stage of the fortress was Magna Centipedes level.
Third for "items" sould you make things that work like the capsules did in the X series? (ex: something that gives you the ability to slide/dash or more importantly one that makes it so you can charge ALL weapons).
Fourth Just a sugestion for the hach what if instead of just changing colers and propertys of the maters change their designs and names as well (ex: changing Woodman to Shieldman or something) I'm really good as spriting expecially with Megaman Sprits so I could whip something up if you want just PM me.
Fifth The idea of a locked section sound good and would up the replay value of the game but what would you do...what CAN you do?
Sixth some minor tweaking in certain parts would be very useful like being able to press start while a weapon is still on the screen. Or if that isn't possible tweak the major weapons like Time Stopper so it works like MM4's Bright Beam or something.
I think that's all of my peice on the matter this hack looks pretty good I rarely see many full fleged hacks out there keep up the good work

PS --- To Celice not to be rude but what the crap is that?

Im getting this crazy idea that I may want to try doing something like having heart tanks like in the X games....where you start with a small lifebar ...and all the 8 regular stages have heart tanks that increase the overall size of your lifebar by 2 HP.

But the only thing I wouldn't be sure of is ....clever places to hide them at.

I don't think that'd be such a good idea. Normal Megaman just doesn't have the survivability of Megaman X, so him having less health would make things harder.

That's actually a neat idea kuja killer. I think a couple of people, including myself, have tried to turn the NES Megaman into a Megaman X game. In either case, that ASM hack wouldn't be very hard to do at all! One of the things I wanted to do with MM2, was make an inventory menu that takes up the whole screen, like in the later games.

Nevertheless, still looks pretty neat.

Yes it is a vine whip, for a new character that I made. This hack won't have a Belmont or Count Dracula. It's about a descendant of Grant DeNasty, named Armund. Unlike Grant, he's an adventurer, not a pirate. He's searching for clues about his ancestory, and to learn more about Grant and the DeNasty family name. The game takes place a few years after Symphony of the Night. Here's some spriting and stuff.

I'm determined to finish a hack with the SotN-style bad guys in it:

Zombies

Mermen

Here's the first boss:

A less cartoonish Satanic Bat

**EDIT**
Here's the start of what I'm doing with the title screen:

That title screen is divine, and although I really do like the other style, your other graphics seem... too dark.

I'll use this as an example: for the floor, I'd say remove the bottom tile, so that the floor fades into black. Then, even though I do like it, the wall is too dark. Everything reminds me of Darkwing Duck's dark levels, except there's no way to turn the lights on :X Moreso, you've seemed to of developed a sense of similarity in your recent art, as in, Where one brick ends, the exact same brick is mirrored for it's other side. I don't think it looks so hot.

Besides those, I like

Now for moi, I've started on my own title screen. As of now, I've only done the text. I'd like to rearrange, yet the game in question loads it's graphics... strangly, for lack of a better term. It loads from everywhere, collectivly making FCEUltra useless in tracking it's tiles. And the TSA is a tad confusing as well, lest there's five seperate blank tiles >.> I plan of making the sword much more detailed and removing that shield.

Oh I totally hear where you're coming from about the inside walls. I'm still working on all the inside graphics, I just put up what I had so far. Not all of the levels will be that dark, I'm going to do something that I did in my last CV hack, where levels will take place in different times of the day, so there will be some brighter parts of the game.

I decided that while I had that moon drawn up for the title screen, that I would make the intro:

Oh, well if we're going to play THAT game...

Main character, probably missing a few frames and some polishups. Small sprites edited off the Squished Rex.

Partially completed tileset for Ye Olde Bigge Citye. The reshaded text and DDP sprite is for a Doki Burger joint. And the recoloured/shaded RCR dustbin is... uhh... a dustbin, I guess. Still have to do a background, but that won't take much work.

And I got bored a while back and tried to edit Reznor sprites to replace the Dino Rhyno. Then I decided to edit the Mini-Rhyno into a baby Reznor. Didn't QUITE finish it though.

The Kins: I really like the SMW sprites, especially how you turned Reznor into a Dino-Torch.

Here are some new screenies of YIKR, because no one asked for them. They show 3-6: The Quarry of Starlit Wonders (remember my palette from earlier? )

Not much action yet...this will be a "calm before the storm" sorta thing

BTW the shell in the second screenie isnt floating, I shot it there
