"Well, if we're stranded out on a boat and the island begins to move, we won't be able to fight the current either will we?"

Ark sat down and waited. This was probably going to be a long wait.

Arminas: You see how fast these boats are. Atleast we'd be able to move forward instead of just being carried.

Lily: This is no fun... Hm..... Ahh... If two of you weren't here.. this would be like one of those classic love stories!

Arminas stood up straight and stared at the engine.

Lily: A young woman and man.. adrift at sea.. Will the two fall hopelessly in love?

Lily started walking around the boat.

Lily: Oh, no! Stay back, you manly beast!

Arminas: ... Would you keep your weird fantasies to yourself?

-------------

Boy: We're just about there.

Lucas: Great.. now you can slow down.

Boy: I'm thinking of making a stylish stop.

Lucas: *sighs*

"Every world's arts are different. The stylish thing in the last world was to be chained up in a prison right next to each other... I didn't really get it. I mean, they didn't get any food, never got to bathe, but they fell in love with each other because they were right next to each other? I guess my time was before dramatic romance was around. There was a rather interesting piece though in one world, I believe it was titled 'Romeo and Juliet'. Can't really remember what happened though, I remember they both died though and it was really tragic."

Who knew Ark had a thing for ranting about art while bored?

The cabin door opened, and from the boat's depths...or what little depths the small boat had, anyway...came a very irate and beleaguered magewarrior. Sky looked very intently at the driver of the boat, and spoke very clearly and directly.

Sky: SLOW....DOWN....NOW....

And then he collapsed.

Lily: Bleh.. I'm never one for tragedies. Sure, I suppose a little rough times between two people would be ok.. stronger bonds, you know? But I'd like to hear the two spend the rest of their time happy.. for like.. lots and lots of years.

There was a slamming sound coming where Arminas was standing. He quickly walked back to the steering wheel and turned on the engine.

Lily: Geeze, what's wrong with him?

???: Hey, you there.

Lily: ... ?

Arminas: What... That voice..

A little girl with brown hair and in a yellow dress stepped out of the cabin.

???: Stop being a nuisance and getting in Arminas' way. All of you.

Arminas: Hailey?!

"Where the hell did you come from!?"

Ark had already jumped up and had his spear ready. When he noticed that Arminas knew who it was, he let his spear hang down.

"Uhh... right then..."

Sigmund jumped at the little girl's name.

Sigmund: "Gah! Whut in tarnation..."

There was a glint of red beneath the wrinkles that were where his eyes should have been, and he furrowed at the loud noise that Arminas had made.

"Gr! Wakin' an old man from 'is rest! (and when he was havin' himself a nice dream, too...)"

His eyes strayed to the girl.

"Eh, so it was you who did it..."

Boy: Ah, lovely trip, was it not?

Lucas was clutched onto the center mast as the boat was now beached by a rocky path.

Lucas: .... That.. was certainly something.

--------------

The little nine year old walked over to Lily and Ark and furrowed her brows.

Hailey: Why are you all here? It should've been just Arminas.

Lily: Army, who is this little brat? I don't like her. She's obnoxious.

Arminas: Just met her this morning. Don't really know her.

Hailey: Mind your manners! *glares at Lily* I rented this boat, you know.

"Why would such a young girl be hanging out with you though? You don't seem much like a father figure to me."

Ark scratched his head.

"Isn't this kidnapping or something?"

((Oh, so THIS strikes him as kidnapping? ))

Sky was clutching the side of the boat for dear life.

Sky: NO, THAT WAS NOT A GOOD TRIP! NEVER DO THAT AGAIN!

Sigmund: "Boy, we're on kidnappin', stealin', embezzlement, mindless violence, opposing authority, obstruction of justice, stalkin', stealin'... It's a wonder the gov'nment ain't sendin' out bounty hunters fer our 'eads at this point."

He was tempted to whack Ark in the head, and then Arminas, but decided he was a little too groggy to do that and instead just started looking at Lily.

Arminas: Father?! I'm not even old enough to have a kid that age!

Hailey: N-no. He's not my dad. I'm actually-- *shakes head* I'm the one who told the boat's owner to let Arminas to take the helm. How could this be a kidnapping?

--------------

The boy jumped off of the boat, with a perfect somersault.

Boy: Watch your step now. The rocks are a bit slippery, and there're plenty of monsters in the water wanting some food.

OoC: Yeah, it's not like he's "removing a potential threat to the innocent" like Ark was earlier.

Ark laughed a little.

Sky released his grip on the boat - they were stopped now, after all - and jumped deftly off onto the rocks. Water itself didn't bother him too much. Tough terrain, monsters about. Now, at least, he was in his element. It was only a matter of time before he was ready to go full force again.

Sky: All right, time to WHOA!

As the magewarrior slipped and landed hard on the rocks, he realized it might be a few minutes more before he was back at full ability, after that ordeal.

Lily: Oooh.. looks like Army's got a little crush!

Hailey: What?

Lily: Then why're you going through all this trouble?

Hailey: Ah.. Nevermind that. Arminas! You need to be catching up to that boat!

Arminas: *sighs*

------------

Lucas climbed down the side of the boat. He was normally ok with boat rides, but this was a new one to him.

Meanwhile, Clara was shaking in every little movement she made, from walking out the cabin to getting off the boat.

Boy: Don't lose your sea legs, now. After we walk by all these rocks, we're going to ride a raft across Angel Lake.

Clara let out a whimper.

"Well, we aren't to far, and luckily no one here seems to be disturbed by the ocean all that much. We won't have to waste time catching up by getting used to walking on solid land."

Ark was looking out towards the visible shore. They were close.

Sigmund: "All yeh in favor of movin' on?"

He didn't wait for a response. Instead, he moved to the helm of the ship, and urged it forward. Someone had to move things along.

Arminas felt a bit embarassed as he pushed Sigmund out of the way.

Arminas: Er.. yeah.. just a little distracted.

---------------

The boy was skipping along the rocks. His hands were in his pockets, and he didn't seem to have any balancing issues.

Clara: Could.. Could you slow down a bit? I'm.. trying to recover from the trip.

Lucas: I'd hate to say it, Clara, but with monster infested waters at our sides, it's probably for the best if we keep moving. If I'm correct, the mosnters in the Raging Bay area are known for their ice element.
