Didn't people say the same thing when Windows XP came out, though?

It stands for Xtra Dimension.

Now that was great.

I don't know anything about the game (other than the fact that it's Pokemon and the name is hilarious), but I might wanna play it sometime.

To actualy contribut to this thread besides pointing out the use of an emoticon in the game title...

This game was quite a change from your usual Pokemon, but if you're a veteran of Colosseum, it's nothing new to you. The snagging/purifying aspect is back, and this game is almost entirely an overhaul of the original game's Adventure mode. Where the first one mainly focused on gaining Johto Pokemon, this game seems to place alittle more emphasis on creatures from the Kanto region. You can even snag the three legendary birds! If you can get used to the gameplay style, the game is fun. Fans of Colosseum should consider picking this up, it's quite a treat

Heh, Iīd probably enjoy it if I had a gamecube. Like Yoro said, itīs quite the same as Collosseum but with a few changes.

One of my friends already has it. I think Iīll tell him to bring it to the dorm so I can see what it looks like.

And I donīt need more legendary birds as Iīll have 2 of each pretty soon.

Alright, alright Yoro. Way to kill the fun.

One of the guys I chill with (4th year Philosophy major) plays this game and practically worships Pokemon. It's quite hilarious to see how into it he is, but boyo does he love this game. He can't get enough of it. I personally found it to have a few fairly large faults (doesn't really have a massive replay factor or anything, IMO), but they're covered over by the sheer amounts of fun that the game throws down your throat.

I'm holding my breath on a real, 3D Pokemon adventure for Revolution. It'd be really cool to have the extra power of the system really rockin' out the Pokemon's speech rather than just little screeches, and have fully animated attacks that have vocal tie-ins. It'd be sweet. SWEET I SAY.

No, what would REALLY be sweet in a Pokemon game would be standardized full manual control over your little death machines, a little like Monster Rancher but with special environmental exceptions (i.e. obviously a Goldeen is going to be flopping on the floor, but it can still do certain attacks) and a separate control scheme for flying types or digging types.

The sheer mechanics of it are mind-boggling.

So, like... Smash Bros, with customizeable movesets, and ~390 characters. And a story.

But in 3D.

Huh.

I'd kill for a 3D realization of Pokemon..I'm actualy a little worried about diamond and pearl. I'm just NOW getting used to the RU/SA Pokemon/Series, I DON'T want to have to go through that horror again. Lets hope they do things right though. I hear Miyamoto is actualy working on this one That should at the very least make things a little more interesting.

You havenīt gotten used to them yet?

Iīd like to see a pokemon games in 3d but itīd certainly be different. And itīd be hard to get used to. But this is the case with every game that is brought to a new level.

First off , I AM used to them, and it wasn't so much that I wasn't used to playing them (since half of them were dumbed down oldies, like that Raticate wannabe Mightyena ) but just not used to them in general, since they seemed to write the originals pretty much out of existance until Fire Red, which even reworked G/S/C into the timeline. I'm just hopeing the new games don't stray too far away from the original roots that made Pokemon what it is, if you get what I'm saying.
