Anyone pick up this new DS platformer yet? I got it when it came out last Tuesday, and for the most part it's a pretty fun game. A tad on the easy side, but still a fun platformer that was long overdue. The vibe idea is pretty cool, you channel different emotions for Peach and she gains different abilities, although it's not the most amazing thing I've seen. Plus, it has good replayability value as new levels open up after you beat the game, and there are a few minigames.

Well, that's my two cents on the game. Anyone else have it and have any thoughts on it?

Have it. Beat it. Very fun. They used a lot of old enemies from SMW and YI, and of course they used some bosses from Super Mario Sunshine. I have all the puzzle pieces, but have yet to buy the final item.

Here's a list of the bosses:
Spoiler:
1. Petey Piranha (called Boss Piranha Plant for some reason)
2. Hoo (giant owl, new)
3. King Boo (New style, even)
4. Wiggler (not green)
5. Gooper Blooper (believe it or not)
6. Blizzaurus (cool ice dragon, turns into fairy)
7. Giant Kamek (super awesome Magikoopa in giant cloak)
8. Army Hammer Bro (awesome)
9. Bowser (obviously)

Hey I'm looking for a DS game and this might be it, but would you recommend it? I am looking for a platformer so should it get it or what?

I heard this game was really good actually, but like you said GY, easy. Too easy actually. I also heard it only gets hard AFTER you beat bowser and unlock all those new levels.

Unfortunately, I don't have a DS (yet) but if I get one, this and Mario Kart DS will be the first two games I pick up.

I'd definitely recommend it. Sure, the levels are pretty easy, but they are fun and you will need to search them up and down for all the extra goodies. If you're looking for a good DS platformer, pick this one up.

Boy, do I ever recommend not buying this one.

The levels are a disgusting mockery of the fun levels of Marios past, there are excessive autoscroll levels, the bosses are stupid assembly line levels where you do a nonsensical series of actions and repeat it five times. (It is similar to Wind Waker or The Minish Cap, but considerably worse.) I guess the only good thing I can say about the bosses is that they have pretty cool music.

They couldn't even get the plot right. The umbrella's storyline isn't wrapped up by the end of the game, and I've gotten stars on each and every level.

The last item disgustingly forces you to beat every level twice and costs none of the 15,000 coins I accumulated in the game, leaving me with absolutely nowhere to put them. I was thinking to myself before I unlocked it, and it went something like this: "Okay, the absolute worst case scenario would be if I beat all these levels and they rewarded me with half-off vibe power or something. Maybe it'll involve that option in Bonus that I haven't found, yet, that might be cool. Maybe they'll wrap up the plot with the umbrella."

Well, at least it wasn't the absolute worst case scenario. Am I the only one who hates this game so?

This definitely wasn't one of my favorite Super Mario platformers, although I still enjoyed it. Seeing all the old Super Mario enemies and stuff and just jumping all around and going in pipes pleased me enough. Some of the weak points of the game were that the levels became pretty predictable as you got further along, you'd always be estimate when the goal would be coming up. Also, the fact that they didn't finish up Perry's story was disappointing. They shouldn't have put the ????? in the bonus menu when it just turned out to be the Endless Vibe switch, so I was pretty certain that they were going tell us the rest of the storyline. Hell, the damn umbrella's storyline was better than the main storyline.

I liked it very much; it was like YI mixed with SMW; but it was too easy, and repeatitive, but still pretty fun.

I greatly enjoyed it. I got kinda bored after I got everything unlocked, but over the next long while, I'ma try to max out my coin bar, see what happens.

I'm still not all the way through the second time, but I will be. I'm still playing through SM64 DS, M & L: PiT, Mario Kart DS, and Metroid Prime Hunters. Yeah you guessed it, I just got my DS, and spent a lot of money that I really don't want to think about on my DS games, kind of stupid, but I'm bored.

In case anyone has the time, there's a great place to rack up coins fast. Go to Wavy Beach 2. Make sure you have the Endless Vibe, the Dashbrella, and that item that gives you money everytime you hit an enemy. Use the Joy vibe to fly to the ledge directly to the right of the starting point. You can either run back and forth slaughtering Green Koopa Troopas, or you can bounce on the them all and hit a shell at them. Very fun.

You don't need the Endless Vibe or Dashbrella at all. If you already have the more difficult to obtain items you probably don't need to be collecting coins, anyway. I myself preferred the Goomba waterfall in wavy beach; the series of pipes where goombas keep falling onto a long blue Poundbrella breakable platform.. Got thousands of coins with only the coin smash powerup. It sure would have been nice if I had something to do with them, now...

Wait, I thougt that was in Giddy Skies...

And you don't really need Endless Vibe, but its usefull for herding them together with Gloom.

Stop right there. The other games are good, but don't waste your time on Partners in Time. What a waste of $35. I'm looking to sell it as soon as I can. I've got an angry review of it sitting on my hard drive that is almost finished. Maybe i'm wrong, but I think it's one of the worst RPGs I've ever played.

Nah, you're right, PiT was terrible, I don't recommend it.

Back on topic, though, I already got everything in the game. After getting everything, the levels become quite boring and pointless, however, they were still fun the first few go-arounds .

I know this sound wierd, but... I think the "Mario & Luigi" series didn't have the same "Mario type" feel as much as his other games; they should bring back the Super Mario RPG feel back to gaming, but I don't know if they would without square to help them again...

Well, I thought Superstar Saga was better than PiT, that's just my opinion. Anyway, this is the Super Princess Peach topic. I really don't have anything else to say about this game since I completed it 100%. Anyone else have something to say about it, good or bad?

Umm...

What's your favorite vibe? Mine's Joy, because knocking enemies away with wind is hilariously fun.
