| That's not so much anime as pretty much all media. Though actually, in anime moreso than a lot of western stuff, there seem to be a lot of 'tragic victories' of sorts, where the good guys win, but at great cost to themselves and their cause. | |||

| Well, not just Western animation, but a lot of things that would be in the same class as a lot of anime; that is, entertainment meant for some of the same demographics. If we're going to look at "artsy" kinds of things, so to speak, well, you'll get more, particularly if you look into older tragedies and all. I meant more popular tv shows and movies and the like. | |||

On the other hand if you think "true" anime (non poke'mon/Yu-gi-oh) is great try surfing around to find some unedited, uncut Japenese episodes of some Anime I garantee the results will be amazing. |

Sigh... Me. I HATE IT!  But for me it's always Yu-Gi-Oh... They are like, "Hey, Did Yugi get his Ultimate card and win? Loser." And mark me a Yu-Gi-Oh fan even though i never said anything about yugioh... |
