Do me a favor Mr. A., add more content to your posts. Sure, the past two nights were spammy and people were not following the rules, but lets get that back on track now, okay? A tiny two-word post is not a good thing. Add something to it, at least a full sentence.

Thanks.

Anyway, I remember watching this show when I was younger, and I really don't find myself thinkinh about it too much these days. I guess if I wanted to watch the series again, I can just get it on DVD.

I don't miss it.

It was a nice show and all but it isn't something I wish to see again unless I am very bored.

It was okay, I guess.

What I really want them to bring back is The Angry Beavers. That was a quality show.

In retrospect, Doug really was a pretty crappy show, and watching some old episodes as I have on some channel in recent years showed me that.

But at the time, I liked it a lot. I guess I always liked rooting for the underdog.

-Ren and Stimpy
-Rocko's Modern Life

RIP Nickshows:
-Keanan & Kel

Go to hell Nicktoons:

I lived off of Doug and Rocko's Modern Life. A few other shows, but those were the top two.
I'll always miss them.

I never really liked any of the Nicktoons. They were generally poorly drawn and too many of them tried to use things like "boogers" as a source of humor.

The exception being Angry Beavers, which aired at a time I didn't have cable so, I really didn't see much of it. What I did see I kinda remember being funny. And Spongebob, which didn't come out until I was passed my cartoon watching days. But I've seen a few episodes, and they were pretty funny.

Doug was alright, I didn't really care either way. I think I saw every episode.
There's nothing but trash on Nickelodeon now. The last good thing they had was the Fairly Odd Parents.. but somehow they ended up ruining it.

I dunno, I have to give credit where it's due: In Spongebob Squarepants, they took what I had undoubtedly thought was the fucking dumbest idea I had ever heard for a cartoon show, and somehow made something watchable out of it. Not up to Angry Beavers/Rocko standards, mind you, but not terrible nonetheless.

Pete & Pete?
Salute Your Shorts?
Welcome Freshmen?

Eureka's Castle? =P

Pete and Pete was a godsend. Most shows like that give only the main characters a disfunction, but in this one, everyone did. Plus, memorable episodes such as the one where Pete faked being sick or the neighbor war really do stick with you. Arnie was always my hero.

Salute Your Shorts had its moments, I'll give it that. Especially the halloween episode. But a lot of that show was just one punch line then we'll act stupid!

The main article in this thread, Doug, really made me laugh. Because a few days ago me and my friends got in this big memory loohow about Doug and how it was better then the Disney's Doug. Honestly, is there one situation that Quailman was in that you can't remember? Dr. Klutzenstine? The mechanical yodeling principles (forgot the name)? Klutzilla!

Also, Mr. Dink got +10 points in my book. Very expensive, ahyuk!

The first seasons of All That, with Detective Dan, Goodburger, and the lunch lady. Those pwned. So did The Secret Life of Alex Mack, once you ignored the ungodly huge title.

Action League Now! Staring the Flesh! Super strong... and super naked! Thunder Girl! With the ability to fly... like thunder! Stinky Diver, a former navy commander with an attitude as bad as his odor! And Meltman, with the power to... melt!

And then the unmentionables of Nikelodeon:
Animorphs - ruined as soon as the first episode, that one was.
Clarrissa Explains it All - nuff said.
Challenge of the Hidden Temple - the show itself didn' suck, but the kids always went into that one top-floor room in the obstacle course where the aztec was hiding. good show, dumb kids.
Rugrats - no.

I'm also surprised that no mention's been made of Wild and Crazy Kids, Video Game Challenge, or Guts with all it's, like seven different crags.

You know you're getting old when you remember the characters and plot of 90% of the shows mentioned.

I liked pretty much all of it. I've never been too particular with TV shows. I never liked the challenge shows though, like Wild and Crazy Kids or what have you.

I can't say my preference has changed much, save that some cartoons, like Spongebob Squarepants, annoy me for an innumerable number of reasons.

Anyone watched Camp Lazlo? It's made by the same guy who did Rocko's Modern Life and has some of the same voice actors, but it still doesn't quite measure up.

All in all, I guess I kind of do miss Doug. Maybe if it's for no other reason than Saturday afternoons with bowls of cereal and singing along with the theme song.
