So, I haven't checked around here yet but it's probably already sold out. Microsoft should have prepared better. I mean they sold out in a lot of places ON THE FIRST DAY. This was just amazing. People were skipping work just to get in LINE to wait for the store to open to get one. Now that's potential. As for me, I'm going to wait a little longer.

Nintendo and Sony does that as well, which led to my question earlier... why?!

This is exactly why I'm going to buy two Revolutions.

I want to know if the graphics are better or the same. Well my brother said that the graphics are the same, I don't see how is that, but I think the playstation 3 is going to have real graphics better than xbox360 and revolution. In the future I might get xbox360 and playstation 3. I love playstation more than xbox because they have more games than xbox.

Went to the Future Shop downtown today and they had 4 units out. I don't know if that meant they had sold all but 4 by the time I got there (1 PM) or if pre-orders were stashed away and maybe they had 10 on the shelves or something. But hey, they still had some and plenty of games too.

GameSpot has a report on how launch day went, and it seems that while it might have been a success for MS financially... it didn't go so well. From the article:

On Tuesday, GameSpot staffers witnessed even more chaotic scenes at the local Target in Colma, on the peninsula south of San Francisco. There, a lone security guard spent most of the night shooing an increasingly unruly crowd away from the parking lot. The situation nearly spun out of control around 7 a.m., when the guard left his post for five minutes, prompting a mass influx of would-be customers eager to receive vouchers good for a 360.

When he returned, the security guard's attempts to get the 100-plus-person crowd to form a line were rebuffed until the arrival of police and a California National Guardsman around 8 a.m. A trio of veteran GameSpotters witnessed the Guardsman quickly take control of the situation and move to the head of the line--where he promptly turned around and asked for a 360 voucher himself. The Guardsman then promptly fled the scene, voucher in hand, leaving police, Target employees, and a visibly agitated crowd to fend for themselves.

The Xbox 360 and the PS3 will both have better graphics, and all I've heard about Nintendo's graphic change is that it's going to be the same as the current Gamecube. Now there's a step no where into the HD world. Soon everything will be HD and the poor old Revo won't be able to make it because it's graphics will suck compared to the other ones. Now adays if you compare the graphics of the GC to the others, you can tell a difference. So think about how it will be. You'll look at the Revo and see todays graphics, then look at the others and see greatness that when you look back at the other one you'll think that it's a GC and Nintendo took a step backwards in gaming history. But this isn't about Nintendo. This is about the great new Xbox 360 which my friend wants to diss just because I want it. Now if I say I'm going to get a PS3, then he will be stuck. But this isn't about him either. So has anyone here gotten and kept and played the 360 yet?

I played my friends, and wasn't too impressed. Besides playing like a suped up PC with a controller, there wasn't much difference from the current, rather, past xbox. If Microsoft doesn't deliver with it;s online components, it's not going to fare too well. We can already see the same problem the PS2 had against both the xbox and the cube: one year early systems means one year late games.

I can't beleive it! I finally have one. The graphics are awsome and Gun 2 is awsome on it.The only sucky part is that it has this freakin chip that you have to put in yourself.

i'm not really all that impressed.

Multiplayer on Perfect Dark Zero wasn't that good.

Call of Duty 2 multiplayer sucks ass, and it doesn't look very impressive and it doesn't bring in anything new.

Yeah, I can judge two games, my friend got it, I'll just be chilling out and waiting for another system I think. Probably PS3 and Revolutions this time around... Assuming the Revolutions doesn't suck total ass.

That's never been confirmed. Some people are jumping the gun because apparently the DEMOS for the system that reviewers messed around with used GameCube graphics, or at least simple graphics.

Revolution the same graphics as GC...ha! And are you saying that the GC's graphics are inferior to ps2's and xbox's? Because it's better than ps2.

Yeah, you need to get your facts right. The cube is superior to the ps2, and equal if not better than the xbox. If there is a God, gaming in the future wont be determined by graphic fanboys and it will rely on gameplay. Gameplay going from the ps2 > ps3, or from the xbox > 360, is basically the same, it just looks a little nicer.
