Well, you need to ask to have it fixed...

Done. I assume that's what you wanted at least.

Geez. No.

Am I the only person a bit tired of the whole animal/creature fad thing?

I prefer the seizure inducing usernames.

We're REALLY stretching it with mice...

Fads are always going to be on the board in some shape or form. And new ones will be thought up from time to time.

I remember Xkeeper bringing back the pastel names for a minute late one night. Sort of startled me too, as it looked as if everyone else had become a mod, leaving me behind. True story.

No more animal theme names, at least not for some time now. I want to at some point come up with a large fad that becomes popular for a time...but most things seem to have been done at one time or another, from the ones I've suggested.

I wouldn't mind some creative theme to throw the board into... maybe I should make my own scheme, though I doubt many would like it, heh.

I'm going to make my own time system soon, so I stop having to worry about the silly planet's rotation time. Time will start when I wake up (0000) and end when I go to sleep (usually 1500 or 1700, sometimes even 2200)... events during the day would simply be "0130" (01:30 after waking up) and such, and "-0315" for standard earth times (e.g., this would be "03:15" during the normal time).

It'd also help for people who aren't on a set schedule (like me), as the schedule could bend and change, such as:

Strt - Fini (Extr) - Evnt
0000 - 0100 (0015) = morning prep
0100 - 0130 (0010) = breakfast
0130 - 0500 (0330) = whatever

With "Extr"(a) being amount of time that can be cut off from this period to compensate for things like waking up too late or such...

At least it'd be somewhat flexible, as opposed to the rigid hellhole of normal "earth" time... wake up a little late, your whole schedule can fall apart :p

So then, I have to assume this is one of the later steps of your declaration of yourself as the center of the universe?

And Colin, that seems to be a free version of SimCity 2000 or so...I went to the website but don't quite get it...

It's called Open Transport Tycoon Deluxe. It need the graphics from TTD and a few other files. And TTD is a... commercial game. Which I have. And hey... I'm not Colin.

It's one of the best simulation games ever, and the orginal was released 1995! (The Deluxe version was released 1997-1998 something though and Deluxe is kind of same as the orginal, just with a few more climates than the orginal and options. And the open source version add even more stuff. )

BTW, I have no control over the growth of cities. You just control a transport company from 1950, and you can keep going how long as you want (although the game records highscore at the year 2050). Kind of a fun game. A shame that nowdays, a game that have Tycoon in it's name is usually crap.

Oh, Railroad tycoon was orginally a transport tycoon sequel where they decided halfways to do something else with it. That's why the graphics might look similar.

Anyway, it's nothing like Simcity 2000, though I admit. Simcity 4 with Rush hour have a more advanced traffic system when it comes to traffic than this game (There's no other traffic than buses and trucks xD), but there yet have to be a game with a better railroad system!

Well, I'm not really familiar with the Tycoon games, and it does resemble a SimCity game to the untrained eye. I may need to check it out if I ever decide I love trains again...which could always come by discovering my old box of Brio stuff down in the basement when I get home.

I played Dinopark Tycoon before. I remember there being a trick you could use to embezzle thousands of dollars without any downsides. I believe you had to buy land and click the circle with the slash through it at the real estate office after doing so. You'd get the money you spent on the land back. You could pretty much have infinite money this way.

Ok, mice suck. How about...glitches! Xkeeper can glitch the whole board (spelling errors, broken JPEGs, etc.) and we can all mess up our names! That sounds fun. How about that? We can put that in the fad vault or something...

I have to go with Zem on this one, despite some of my earlier fad suggestions. The best fads will just sort of appear with time when someone does or says something to inspire them, far more than something we think up now for several weeks/months down the road.
