He squatted onto the ground, and picked up a handful of soil. Recently ground... Felt like horse steps. Someone wasn't too far away from them, and if they didn't do something soon, there was going to be a lot of angry company attending the party. |

Arminas: *looks at Cassandra* Hey! I don't remember anyone agreeing to her! Lily: Just watch! Lily sways back and forth, while staring at the crystal wall (the part that Ark wasn't standing beside). Lucas' glasses shimmer when he realizes that Lily's fingertips are glowing. Lucas: No! Wait! Stop! Lily: Fissure! But Lucas' words were not heard, as Lily slammed a fisted gauntlet into the ground. A small portion of the crystal wall cracked, and shattered all over, forming a path directly to the other side. Lily: See? I did it 
Lucas: Argh!! Lily: Is something wrong, Teach? Lucas walked over to Lily, and whacked her on the head. Lily: Ow! What was that for?! Lucas: You destroyed a part of nature's beautiful structures. You're coming with us, young lady. Lily: Huh? Wha..? Lucas: Forgive me, Ark, but I have to watch her like a hawk to prevent anymore destruction against nature. Arminas: Oh for the love of... Another person tagging along? |

| Lucas: The Everlight?
Lily: The Everlight! You know! It's able to grant any wish! Clara: Any wish? I find that hard to believe. Lily balls her hands into fists and stomps on the ground. Lily: Ohh! Where's your sense of wonder? Of adventure? Lucas: Information pertaining the Everlight was found in recent tablets that dates back to the Kingdom of Fungeria. Researchers haven't been able to decphier all of the old Fungerian text, that and the tablets making no sense just added up to assuming there never was such a thing as the Everlight. Lily: Pfft. Those eggheads are a bunch of wimps. Lucas: Even so.. Arminas: We've wasted enough time, can we get going now? I don't even care who's coming with us anymore. Lucas: *sighs* Excuse my impatient friend here. We're on the way to rescue his sister, whom people have believed to be the Linnara. Lucas looked at the currently unnamed Drow and Ark. There was a slight hesitation in his voice before he spoke again. Lucas: I'd advise for you to come with us. From what Sky told us earlier, there might be a small army coming this way, and they're not in the best of moods. |

Lily: Hey! Why's everyone picking on me today? 
Arminas shook his head as he walked through the crystal passage. When he reached the other side, he was greeted with a field of normal grass and normal trees. He couldn't see anything else that seemed significant except for the random lizardmen running about a rock formation in the distance that's jutting out of the ground for no reason. Arminas: ... Where did that bastard take, you, Allison... Arminas spotted something sparkling on the ground. He made note that there were nothing that seemed like there were spiders in the area before walking to it and picking it up. Arminas: Allison's brooch.. (edited by Kine on 02-25-06 02:10 AM) |

Arminas gave another look at the brooch, which shined in his hand. Lily caught the shine in the corner of her eye, and ran right up to Arminas. Lily: Oooh, can I have a look? Arminas: No. Lily: Aw.. Pretty please? Arminas: No. Lily: Hmph.. Meany. Meanwhile, Lucas handed some papers to Clara. Lucas: It's going to be difficult for me to write when I'm trying to watch over her. Clara: M-me? But..... Understood. Lucas: Everyone, be careful. Lizardmen know how to fight with swords and shields, albeit not very well. But if they start swarming, it might cause a problem. |

| Sky: Depending on how related they are physiologically to normal lizards, they also have rather poor control over their internal temperature maintenance. Which means we could likely use heat or cold against them. Do you have a pick?

Lucas: For the most part, just about any element is just as effective. Several lizardmen notice the group walking by. They twitch their heads while letting out a few shrieks. Arminas: Tch. More time being wasted. Arminas held up his fists as the lizardmen approached. One of the creatures leapt into the air and attempted to drive its sword into Arminas. The berserker quickly stepped out of the way of the blade, and sent a fist into the lizardman's skull. Arminas: Seriously.. wasting our time. |

Ark walked past Arminas and started speaking a very coarse language that no human would ever want to listen to. It sounded very close to the screams the lizardmen had just yelled out. Ark's message was incomprehensible to everyone else, but the lizardmen seemed to get it, if they chose to ignore, well... that was their problem. In lizard "Don't bother attacking, they'll just wipe you out and not worry about what they're killing. Ignore them." Ark turned back to the group and especially Lily. "Lily, I said that we'll give you up if they leave us alone. I hope you don't mind." |

The lizardmen snarled at each other, and glancing at the lizardman that was decked out on the ground. Lucas: You know, that doesn't sound like a bad idea. I wouldn't have to worry about looking after you. Lily: W-wha?! o_____o One of the lizardmen picked up the knocked out one, while another one eyed everyone in the group. It clenched its sword tightly before snorting loudly and turned around. The lizardmen then started walking off. Lucas: Fascinating.. It seemed like either they didn't like the offer.. Or perhaps it supports my theory on the evolution of the lizardman.. No.. the evolution of what we call monsters. Lily: ... Hey! What's there not to like about me!?! Arminas: Eh... Whatever works. Arminas shook his head and started walking again. |

Clara: Oh... I see... Clara felt a bit confused, but she sheathed her sword. Lucas: Nothing is naturally evil.. But I still find it fascinating as to how aggressive most of the creatures on this island will become towards only humans. Arminas: *groans* |

| Cassandra: Maybe it's largely due to people like Arminas, who are increasingly threatening towards the monsters. A few bold attackers and whole "monster" societies will feel as though they're constantly under threat.
Sky: And then they attack us. I have to think that on our journey we've done more harm than good in the matter already. |
