| Ark ran as fast as he could and practically jumped in front of Lily. He stood in front of her with his spear brandished towards the spiders.
"Stay close... Spiders can move fast..." Ark didn't seem very confident, if these spiders were anything like their smaller counter parts, taking them on wasn't going to be fun in any way. The best thing he could do was scare them off. He twisted the crystal spear so it caught some extra light and the light seemed to resonate through the spear, brightening up at the end of it and looking like a really powerful flash light. |

She held out a hand, which started to glow with a deep violet aura. The area around Snipes started to feel a bit warm.. Danielle: Either tell me now, or die. ----------------------- The spiders let out a very loud screech that caused Lily to tremble. Lily: Ooooh... 
The spiders then started to march forward. Lily: I'm not gonna stay here!! And just like that, Lily took off like the wind. |

No, that could make her use something worse...~ Still debating what to do, with the heat around him increasing, Snieps decided the best bet was to take the heat for then. ~What about smoke? I have a couple smoke grenades on me... No, those are my last ones. Only if I absolutely have to.~ Still deadlocked, Snieps made no other action. OOC: For those of you I lost... It'll all be revealed shortly, if danielle increases the temperature high enough to start a fire. |

Ark jumped up into a branch and actually stomped on it, breaking the crystalized branch so it'd land on the spiders. As soon as that happened, he jumped off the tree and sprinted after Lily. He kept his ears open, just in case the spiders weren't ready to be squashed. "I can't believe her! If she'd just stayed by me, I could've kept the spiders away!" |

And with that, a great flame spewed out at Snipes. --------------------- Lily kept on running until she ran past Arminas and company. Lily stops as soon as she runs past everyone, and turns around. Lily: Oh, hey! You guys look like ome users. How would you like to join my party? Arminas: How about no? Lily: How could you not help a cute girl like me out? Unless.... you don't like cute girls.. Arminas: No! I mean.. yes! I mean.. Argh! Lily: Well, if it's just cute girls, or if it's just me.. it doesn't really matter now. Hello! Clara: .. Who are you waving to? Lucas, Clara, and Arminas turns around and notices a man being chased by two very large spiders. Arminas: ... Holy crap, those things look bigger than we are! The spiders were doubly pissed off at Ark's attempt to keep them at bay. They were aiming to mow down everyone that was in its way. |

| Ark did one of the skillful/luckiest moves anyone has probably ever seen. He slid forward jammed his spear behind him, spun, pole vaulted into the air, taking the spear with him, and spun in the air and threw it at one of the spiders. He had a few seconds of hang time in the air, but he was still spinning and had no way of landing on his feet. So, he landed rolling. He caught himself mid-roll and jumped to his feet.

| Sky, out of breath and muscles aching, made it into the clearing to see what was either the most amazing display of acrobatics he'd seen today...or a lucky bastard pulling off a nice trick.

| Arminas: We're being attacked like dogs right now!
The spider Ark attacked was definitely stopped. He let out a screech before it fell onto the ground. Lucas: Lightning! Lucas waved his glowing hands and pointed at the spider with the spear in it. A bolt of lightning came down from the heavens and struck the spider. Its body was left in a smoldering mess, and wasn't moving at all. The other spider was still moving, however, and it was moving at full speed. Arminas and Clara stood back, waiting for the spider to get within their own range to strike at it. |

With that, Sky waved his arm, which glowed as he sent a fireball at the spider nearest Cassandra. It caught ablaze and quickly stopped moving. Sky: Remember now? |

| Arminas and Clara looked at each other with slight confusion.
Arminas: No.. doesn't ring any bells. Arminas pulled a crystalized blade of grass out of the ground and flung at the spider Sky had just burned down. It was definitely dead, as seen by several Shines and an ome falling out of its body. Lily: Mine mine mine! Arminas: What the hell were those things, anyway? Lucas: A crystalantula. They're not aggressive, but they're protective of their nests. They like to collect shiney objects, so treasure hunters tend to bother them. |

The cardboard box stepped out of the shadows of the Crystal Forest's underbrush and disappearing to reveal a frail old man... How the hell did he keep popping up like that? Sigmund stood up and placed himself into view, lookin rather unimpressive, as far as stealth goes. He definitely didn't blend in. And yet, somehow everyone in the area would probably note that if he were to actually crouch down and hide, they probably wouldn't see him. Active camouflage, Sigmund liked to call it. "Looks like I missed all the action. I'd call that a successful mission, considerin' you kids and yer reckless magic." He pointed a finger straight at Sky. The old man's gaze was suddenly noticeable through his mess of wrinkles and extremely striking... "You! I don't know what the 'ell ya think yer doin', but if ya want to keep yerselves on the la-li-lu-le-lowdown, yed better tone down the Ome use! Like it or not, everything yer incineratin' gives off a sickening magical ping to any recepters 100 'iles around even when yer NOT tryin' ta use the Ome! I don't know about you, but I certinly don't want no witch-hunters lookin' to suck ya dry of yer Omes, 'cause anyone in here who's GOT an Ome is sure to get their head off'd the moment they get spotted! Git yer gloves back on 'n use some sense, 'n be glad I'm stickin' me neck out fer ya this time, 'cause it ain't no skin off my nose if you ruddy Ome users git yer heads lifted!" He squatted down and squinted his wrinkly little eyes at Lily. They locked gazes for a couple of seconds, and suddenly, quick as a shot, the old man cuffed Lily on the back of the head, growling softly. He whispered, so that almost nobody could hear him. The accent was gone... "You, little girl... You have got a lot of spunk, telling me up like that. Considering how long I've got left I can tell you I'm nowhere near as old as you say I am. Best you learn this. Maybe then I'll show you a thing or two about real treasure." He stood up and produced his walking cane. There wasn't much need for disguise in a place like this... He prefered instead to be ready to defend himself. |

Ark retrieved his spear and took a single Ome from the spider he'd pierced with his spear. He put it in a different pocket than the base turtles. "Anyways Lily, you've probably bothered these people enough. They might be something more important than getting side tracked while looking for a treasure. And you still haven't explained why you didn't listen to me when we were attacked!" Ark was hoping Lily forgot about the mounds of treasure that she ran away from. If there were more spiders, it might just completely repeat. |
