From now on all ExGFX talk will go in here.

All files can be gotten at The ExGFX Workshop

How to use downloaded ExGFX from the Workshop
1) After downloading the pack, decompress the archive with WinZip, WinRAR, WinACE, PKUNZIP, StuffIt Expander, whatever you use.
2) Open up the directory you uncompressed the files to. You should have at least these files:
graphics_name.bin
Map16Page.bin
Map16PageG.bin
You may also have a pallette in .TPL format.
3) If you haven't already, create a folder in the same folder as your hack's ROM and name it "ExGFX" (case sensitive).
4) Rename the file "graphics_name.bin" to "ExGFXxx.bin" where xx = a hexidecimal number from 80 to FFF
5) Put the "ExGFXxx.bin" file into the folder "ExGraphics"
6) Put the files "Map16Page.bin" and "Map16PageG.bin" into the same folder as your hack.
7) Open Lunar Magic and open your hack.
8) Go to whatever level you wish to use the graphics, like a blank "TEST" level, and clear ALL the objects in the level.
9) Insert the ExGFX by clicking the Yellow Mushroom in the toolbar.
10) Now open the "Super GFX Bypass" window by clicking "Tools" -> "Super GFX Bypass..."
11) Check off the graphics bypass option, then click the dropdown menu for FG3, and select the hexadecimal number you chose for your ExGFX. Click OK.
12) Now open the Map16 Tile Editor
13) Using up and down, go to the page you wish to isert your blocks, and hit F3. Click Yes.
14) You are now ready to build! Open up the Background Objects selector, and go to "Direct Access Map16" and open your page. If the GFX look funky, and you haven't hacked the pallettes, then you need to insert a pallette. Check the Lunar Magic help file for any additional info on Lunar Magic, or feel free to ask in the ExGFX Workshop topic at the top of this forum about any ExGFX inquiries.

How to contribute
First of all, you take the bin file, the map16 data and the MW3 Palette (you can export the palette using LM) and ZIP THEM UP, name the zip accordingly:
filename-palettecode-yourcode.zip
THEN, take pictures of your 8x8 and 16x16 page and make two PNGs out of them. (And I mean REAL PNGs, not just a BMP renamed to PNG.

Update: I have just made a tutorial on inserting Background ExGFX if anyone needs it.

Here it is.

Anyone got any requests? I am itching to make some more tilesets for anyone to the best of my ability, so...

BTW, most of my work has been cancelled, so any ExGFX that I was going to submit will no longer be worked on. Eh, working at Red Lobster made it this way. Good thing I am quitting there next weekend.

I am hoping to make some very unique graphics if anyone wants any. If they are original, I will help you there. If you want a rip... get someone else!

What if the pack does not come with all of those three files?

Oh yeah, I see now. The problem is though, I kind of lost track of who is who exactly (Some people changed names) and some people did not yet register. I'll look into it.

Ummm... a bit more precise, please. There were many forts and many different backgrounds for each section of the fort.

Tell me the level, and I can try to get it for you... or at least attempt to try... I am not the best (or most patient) ripper...

I had a tileset in the works. Well, a rip from Kirby SuperStar. I forget what happened to it, but I should try and see if I can get back to working on it.

If you want a Windows tileset, however, what OS would it be? XP? 2000? 98? You know, something like that...

How about making ExGFX for the Overworld? I need a ghost related map.

Sorry... Heh... It could be either from Burt the Bashful's Fort or Bigger Boo's Fort... Those levels have the one I want...

Dang! I did everything right but when I get to step 9 I get a message that says:

No ExGFX files are present in the /ExGraphics directory.

P.S. I did download ExGFX sets. 3 of em.

I had a little bit of trouble with that myself.
It has to be [rom directory]\ExGraphics\ExGFX[80-FF].bin

Are WinZip, WinRAR, WinACE, PKUNZIP freeware?

Not sure about the last two, but the first two are.
They have 'register plz' windows that start showing up after a month or so, but they don't actually stop working.

Yeah, it's [rom directory]\ExGraphics\ExGFX[80-FF].bin.
Oh and Winzip and Winrar aren't freeware, they are shareware. After the 30 day limit you'll get a note saying you should buy it everytime you start it. That's all.
