So, what is it? I'm pretty sure most people will say 3, but not everyone.

My favorite, of course, is number 3. I like 2 as well, although I find the first one kind of boring... it is a good game though. 3 will always be my favorite Mario game. The levels were great and I liked how the overworld was set up. It was also pretty challenging and the music was cool.

While SMB3 is awesome, i do like SMB2 better.

Mostly because it was so "odd" compared to the other games, and the special abilities really gave the game some sort of extra twist.

I voted SMB3. The reason SMB2 is different is because it wasn't originally a Mario game. It's still great, though, just shorter...

SMB: 8x4=32
SMB2: 7x3-1=20
SMB3: more than 32

I'll go with 3 just because I like games that have a lot of levels. The only reason I don't like about 3 is World 7 for many reasons so I just use the whistle to skip on to World 8.

Yeah, World 7's pretty hard. It's the pipe maze world.

Also, yes, SMB2 was originally Doki Doki Panik, and not a Mario game.

World 7 sucks in SMB3.

But then, world 7 in SMB is just previous levels repeated with more enemies in SMB.

And world 7 in SMB2 only has two levels.

Seems Nintendo ran out of ideas in world 7.

SMB3 was definitely my favorite of the three, and will probably win my vote in every poll until you add Yoshi's Island.

world 7 (SMB2) had conveyor belts
And one thing that was fun with the world was the eagle head near the end on the first(?) one.
'twas all "Woah!" when it came flying after you.

I actually hate that world. I am horrible at playing world 7 on Super Mario Bros. 2. The conveyor belts were cool but still... argh. Also, that eagle head scared the shit out of me the first time I played that level.

World 7 seems to be the unlucky one out of all the classic Mario games.

World 7 made me really tired of even playing. =/ I really like Super Mario 3, however. I'd play 2, but it's really boring in the beginning. So, I just get tired of it; and for part 1, I don't like it is much. I think I'd prefer the Lost Levels over that.

I like world 7 in SMB2&3 (don't remember the first one). I couldn't say why really.
I have this memory of my mom this one castle level in world 7 of SMB3. There were tons of coins, and she kept running around getting them to max her life count, and she kept dying after time ran out, and I kept getting ticked off because I was an impatient kid. >(

Er.. anyway, I chose SMB3 because it's one of my favorite games of all time. It's just so great. But we all know that.

Iīm not surprised at what SMB game people chose. Because I did the same.

SMB3 is the game Iīve played the most out of those three. I could beat the game many times without getting bored. My favorite world is world 7. I donīt really know why. Maybe itīs because the levels are fun and interesting. I like those pipes.

The first time I encountered Bowser I thought you should jump on his head but I noticed that you only bounced off.

SMB3 IS a freakin' classic.

Well, SMB too but I donīt know if SMB2 would be considered as a classic due to the different story.

SMB3 is the bad level design and the hilariously overrated.

SMB1 forever.

Im going with Kyouji here.

SMB3, while good, is not good in the right way... if that makes sense.

I can pick up SMB, and just run through it, and consider that fun. SMB3 is something that you have to sit down and play to enjoy.

Eh... theyre both good in their own ways, but SMB > SMB3

Super Mario World > the other three, but since it's not on the list, 3 I suppose.
EDIT: Though actually now that I think about it, SMB3 had really bad level design. Can I revote for SMB1?

I don't really understand what's so bad about the Super Mario Bros. 3 level designs... I found them fun. What's wrong with them?

It scared me too, I think I was only 8 or 9 the first time I got that far. I think it gave me a nightmare or two

Anyways, its a really tough decision between SMB3 and SMB2. But since SMB2 was a bit short, and only a few months ago did I beat SMB3 on GBA, I guess I'll vote for SMB3.

Really, I think that SMB2 was fun... for a while. SMB3 had long-lasting fun factor.

Can I vote for the REAL SMB2? You know, "The Lost Levels" in SMAS? That was like SMB1 - Hard Type, which makes it that much more fun.
