| Sky: The dog's got something to do with it. Time to change his tune.
With that, the magewarrior pointed a hand at Rusty and, with a glow, sent out a stream of fire. The wolflike creature dodged the blast, but wasn't so lucky when the next one came. His fur caught on fire, and the bling he was wearing heated up pretty quickly. Yelping, he ran around in a decent amount of pain. Sky: You fight us now or I keep this going. Rufus: What the HELL is WRONG wit' you?! Rufus came sliding back down, shaving off a bit of ice with his sandals onto poor Rusty. Rufus kneeled beside his pet, making sure the flames were taken care off. Rufus: Rusty, you a'ight? Rusty lets out a slight whine. Rufus slowly stands up, clenching his fist. Rufus: Ah ain't about to forgive ya'll for doing this. ------------------------ "Aaah!" Arminas: "Aaah"? Arminas was rather surprised to hear a female voice yelping down where he was. He took a step back, and realized who it was. Clara: You! Arminas: The harebrained chick! Clara: Harebrained? You fell down yourself! |

Ark still wasn't assured that killing the turtles had been wise. He remember that for a while, the only things he could communicate with were turtles and plants. Lily once again pointed at their destination. It seemed to be a little clearing infront of a cave. However, the cave really wasn't much of a cave. It was more like a large hole in the side of the mountain. There were some wild beasts in the area, but fortunately, they weren't paying attention to Lily and her group. ---------------------- Arminas: Ssh.. Clara: Wha? Arminas pushed Clara over to a wall in a splitsecond. Clara: Wha-what do you think you're doing?! Arminas: Keep quiet, someone's coming.. |

Sky's left hand flashed, and a bolt of lightning, seemingly from nowhere, hit the ground between him and the bandit chief. Sky: ...or just have an all out battle? Cassandra, with her promise to stay out of the way, followed Lucas, her gaze drifting over to Sky and Rufus now and then. |

| Lily: You're such a bummer, Drenchy!
Lily started to slow a bit. Ark's words seemed to have a bit of an effect on her. Her mind raced around with words, thoughts, memories, dreams. She then suddenly regained her strength. Lily: ... You're over thinking this, Drenchy. Of course it's not going to grant wishes freely! Look at all this trouble we're going through. The work to find it is its test to us! ------------------------------ Rufus: Ah ain't too keen on this honor that lit m'boy Rusty on fire... Rufus's fingers started to glow a bit. Rufus: But it's gonna take more than lightnin' to stop ol' Rufus! Rufus leapt over the hole and rolled forward on the ground. He managed to go into a handstand, and started to perform a series of quick whirlwind kicks at Sky. ----------------------- Clara: You're pressing against me to hard! "Arminas!" Arminas: Oh, it's Lucas. Lucas stepped closer to Clara and Arminas, who had stopped holding Clara against the wall. Lucas: I came down the path that led down here an... Well well... Seems like you two are nicely aqquainted. Arminas & Clara: What're you talking about?! Arminas immediately distanced himself from Clara. Lucas: And to think, the two of you just met. Arminas: Grr.. Look, where's the exit? Lucas: It's over this way.. but we may have to becareful to avoid the fighting up there. Arminas: Fighting? Grr.. I wanted to give Rufus a beating myself! And with that, Arminas started running through the path Lucas came from. Lucas shook his head and followed, along with Clara. |

| Though he would deny it later, Sky was caught off guard by the man's moves, and one of the kicks caught him on the arm, sending him into the nearby wall. Quickly regaining his composure, he reached and grabbed Rufus's leg with his free hand, picking the man up and slamming him hard into the rock.

| Rufus felt the wall on his back crack under the force of the attack. A slight smile appeared on his face through the pain.
Rufus: Not so bad yeh-self. The tanned man slammed his fists against the wall, and using that force, launched himself to clothesline Sky. ------------------------- Clara was flustered by Cassandra's comment. Arminas was already in tunnel-vision mode, so he didn't hear it. Infact, he was halfway out. Clara: I don't know what you're talking about. Lucas: In any case, come with us. We'll speak when we're out of the dark. Clara nodded her head. |

| Cassandra: Never you mind, dear, you'll figure it out some day.
**** The magewarrior took the force of the clothesline, moving so that it hit him on the upper torso. It hurt, yes, but also served to help him get Rufus in an ideal position as Sky leaned backwith the move and sending his knee, HARD, into the bandit chief's gut. The magewarrior moved from this to push the man away and get a bit of distance between them. Sky: Had enough? |

| Rufus stumbled backwards a bit, holding onto his stomach. He lets out a cough before he grins and looks at Sky.
Rufus: Ain't over 'till Ah do 'The Move'. A big smile runs across Rufus' face as he stood up straight. He clenched his fists and started to move towards Sky, when all of a sudden, a fist appeared out of nowhere, and drove the tanned man into the ground. Rufus: Ah, damn! What the hell.. Rufus rubbed his face with his hand as he turned on the ground to see Arminas standing above him. Arminas: That's for makin' me fall. Rufus: Hey! Ain't no fault but yours. |

| Sky: I appreciate the assistance, kid, but I had this under control. You can watch his dog, if you want, to make sure it doesn't interfere. I was having fun with this.
The magewarrior put his sword away. Sky: Rufus, let me just make things clear. I haven't really done much in this battle so far. I've not used my sword, or any of my omes, crystal or iron. Even with your special move, and even if the kid wasn't here, you're outmatched. Honestly, I'm not really a violent man, despite what impressions I've given you. But if you keep this up, I may have to go against that nature. |

Pitch: Rufus!! A man who somehow looked even more roughed up than Rufus came running in, panting hard. Rufus: Somethin' wrong, cuz? Pitch: S-Some weird gang out there.. wearin' weird colors, mang.. They all suited up with iron and wearin' red. We ain't doin' so good out there, mang. Arminas: .... Rufus: The hell...? Rufus got up to his feet as fast as he was knocked down. He dusted his shorts off and looked over at the entrance. He gritted his teeth, then tossed something shiney at Arminas. Arminas: What's this? Rufus: Keys to her room. Yeh wanted it, right? Ah'll settle things with ya'll later. Rusty! Rusty: Bark! Rufus: C'mon. And with that, Rufus, Rusty, and Pitch all ran to the front entrance. |

-------------------- A purple haired woman wearing a two horned headpiece stood stood tall as dozens of her soldiers engage in combat with Rufus' gang. ???: The Lirrara girl is in there somewhere! Find her at any cost! Kyaaa ha ha ha ha haaaaa! -------------------- Arminas: Army... That laugh.. Lucas: Do you know them, Arminas? Arminas: *shakes head* No. Pitch came running back. Pitch: Rufus told me to show you the back exit. Hurry up and get the girl, mang. I'll open the door. Clara: If we don't hurry, we'll get caught up with the fighting. |

| Sky nearly collided with Pitch as the latter came bolting back from the front door, and was shocked to see the size of the battle raging out front. The bandits were holding off the crimson army quite well, but it would only be a matter of time before they were overcome.
Sky: Time to even the odds a bit! With that, Sky ran in front of the front line of bandits, his hands glowing rather brightly. Suddenly, a wind picked up around him, and a wall of air pushed back the opposing forces, knocking some down and allowing the bandits to gain the upper hand, at least for the moment. It probably wouldn't be enough, though. And that's when he saw the leader of the raiding party. Sky: That is the most beautiful evil warlord I have ever seen. Hey Purplilocks, what do you want with the girl? **** Cassandra: But what about Sky? Can we just leave him? |

Rufus: Whoa there. She came all the way out heya to see us, so why don't we have a little fun first? Rufus grinned while cracking his knuckles, while Rusty let out a menacing growl. The woman folded her arms. Every tiny movement the woman made was heard thanks to her tight leather body armor. ???: Unfortunately, I haven't got time to play twenty questions or any games with weaklings like you. Rufus: Ya'll came up here fittin' for a fight. We're just glad to oblige! Ain't no backin' out now! Let's get it on!! Rufus didn't care too much about the fact that they were VERY out numbered. ------------------------ Allison: Aaah! Arminas immediately jamed the key into the door. Arminas: Allison! What is it?! The door flew open, and Arminas ran inside. To Arminas' horror, he saw Allison's unconcious body floating within a glowing sphere. Besides the sphere stood a young man, wearing some unusual cloth wrappings around his head. He wore a black jacket with some orange cotton pants. Arminas: YOU! Lucas: You're the flying man back at the springs! What seemed like black wings made of energy appeared on the mystery man's back. Without any hesitation, the man took off the conveniently placed balcony, dragging along the energy sphere that encased Allison. Arminas: WAIT! Dammit! Lucas: It seems like he was heading towards the Crystal Forest... Let's get back down-- Arminas: Screw that. Just as Arminas was about to leap out the balcony, Lucas grabbed the back of the berserker's shirt, and dragged him back downstairs. Lucas: We don't need anymore seperations. |

Sky: Yeah, Rufus, you're definitely right. Sorry about the fighting earlier, let's take some of these guys out! Within seconds, Sky was hurling fireballs at the crimson troops, all the while finding it hard not to turn back and stare at the commander...in her tight leather body armor, showing every curve and...no, no, no, he had to focus on the fight, getting his concentration back just in time to scorch a soldier who had snuck up behind him. |

Lily: I'm just fine. I just got reminded of something.. Anyways.. Onward! And so, the group finally reached the cave Lily spoke of earlier. Since they were so close, they were able to see that it really wasn't a cave at all. It just happened to be a darker coloration of the mountain's base. Lily: Hm.... Lily walked around, closely examining the surroundings. Lily: Hmmmmm........ ---------------------------------- Rufus: Here Ah come! Hooo-aah! Rufus practically bowled himself into a group of soldiers. Any of the remaining soldiers that were left standing were currently being knocked down by the bandit chief's crazy legs and arms. At the same time, Rusty himself was getting in on the action. He tore through several soldiers, leaving them laying on the floor with wide open wounds and broken armor. However, it didn't seem like the bandits and Sky even had the upperhand. The red soldiers had a lot more experience in combat, and were easily keeping the bandits down. And any bandit that even stood within range of the female commander's whip was lit on fire in the blink of an eye. ------------------------ Meanwhile... Pitch: I've got the door open. Lucas: Why are you helping us? Pitch: Rufus would do the same thing, mang. Clara: I'd like to ask you something. Do you know of a swordsman with a tattoo of a snake on his arm? Pitch: I seen a lot of tats, honey, pero I've never seen a sword'mang with a snake tat. Clara: Thank you. (edited by Kine on 02-22-06 10:04 PM) |
