2. But without those 2 we had nothing in the tank. Horrid, horrid performance since Switzerland came out to play and we thought it would be an easy game.

I won't hit the panic button unless Finland takes us tomorrow.

Team USA got OWNED. You live by the shootout (last year beating Canada for the world title), you die by the shootout. On the flip side, I hope you Swedes will be happy with silver because that's the best you're going to do on Monday against us.

They got owned once again by Sweden today! ^^ Too bad they didn't have too much to play for. The game ended 2-1.

I'm pretty sure Sweden will lose in the womens final. I just hope that sweden will put up a real good fight so that Canada won't just win without any competition.

Fun fact: They're still most likely going to make the medal round. Unless (I think) Kazhakstan can win by 14 goals, along with more stuff.

Oh, and hooray curling.

Germany caught up to America with gold medals.
Damn. That's all we had going for us.

Yeah, we're not doing too hot this year. USA owned in Snowboarding, won gold in almost everything, but.. that's about it.

Latvia needs to win by around a hundred goals or so. XD The US are in the QF's, don't worry.

Canada vs. Finland... ouch. We really need to get our heads together because this could turn ugly in a hurry.

And I'm surprised... seriously. Canada's ahead of the US in the medal count, no?

Last I checked, Canada was 5th, USA was 3rd.
But that was this morning. Did it really change that much?

USA is currently up 3-2 after stealing a point in the 7th against Canada in the curling. They must win if we are to get to play Canada in a tie break for the semi finals. So... USA! USA! USA!

In other news, what do y'all think of the Austrians, eh? Pretty silly, if you're going to use a coach who's been banned from the Olympics for having administered performance-enhancing drugs to athletes, don't put him on team pictures with the caption Austrian Olympic Team 2006.

Edit: And I know I asked this 4 years ago, but I never got a good answer. Why is it that over there 'cross the pond, you score nations only by how many medals they've taken? The official way to do it is by scoring gold medals first, then silver if gold is tied, then bronze.

Okay, who else saw the women's curling gold medal match? Daaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay-um. Nice way to swing the hammer, winners.

(It was on MSNBC live, but I don't know if anyone else is tape-delaying it.)

reading the news reports of the games, it appeared to be a move that clinched the game? if it didn't work, would the swiss have won?

We're not talking about the Olympic Hockey Tournament anymore. It was an absolute disaster. Let us never speak of it again at least for the next few hours.

Oh, and about the curling today... SomerZ... SORRY. ^___^

Basically. Wha'happened was:
Spoiler:
Tied at 6 after regulation. In the 11th end, Switzerland had two stones around the 4 foot circle, having finished off their stones. Sweden had the hammer, and curled their last rock around a guard, splitting both Swiss stones and knocking them both out of play. Sweden wins in bonus ends, 7-6.

Spoilers just for safety.
