Do I see yet another way to avoid prison if you´re on your way getting caught?

So yeah, this´ll be quite hard to solve as the Priest won´t reveal the man's name.

What? So you're saying that priests and ministers aren't allowed to reveal to the police information that has been revealed to them during confession?

Whoo-hoo! Call the media, we have a SLOW news day, because this here ain't even old news, this is just how it's always been regarding confession...

...makes me think of....

I don't think toturing the priest is going to help matters...more likely to cause more problems that what it'd solve....

Ran-Chan he probaly was holding a gun without a license or hunting. But really why do you need to turn in your gun into the church now that is just stupid. There could have been a couple witnesses.

That's the thing, though. The Church has been obligated since the indoctrination of this Sacrament to *not tell*. As for witnesses...it's a risk...but Confession gets the goods off one's person.

This has actually been a rather serious issue a number of times, but what it really comes down to is whether the state will allow religion to operate or not. If a guy is on his way to getting caught, then it's not like he can avoid detection by confessing his sins. So it's not like it's a horrible impediment in the justice process. If priests were even ALLOWED to disclose information obtained in confession, let alone demanded to do so, that cripples the practice, as people would be frightened of going to confession, even if there's no legal actions to bring against them, as the fear of social ostracism is a serious one.

But on a lighter note, that is indeed a hilarious news story.
