Blocklayout would be delicious.

As with others, I am against user comments unless there will be a good way to moderate them.
Admins should be able to delete select comments (I'm a little fuzzy on user..), and have a way to easily view all of the comments a certain user has, in case some jerk goes on a spam fest. Also, a user should be able to disable their comments if they wish to.
Just my view. I think overall, comments would be a fun addition.

I have seen comments on other boards.

And they're so freaking stupid.

AND there should be an option to block someone from having the right to post comments like Yoro mentioned.

If Xk's willing to put all those safeguards in, I wouldn't mind it.

I am for it. If any ugly drama results from it, I won't be involved, so it'll just make things more interesting from my point of view. Har har.

I am also for implementing blocklayout. (TAKE THAT HIRYUU. I AM A REBEL!)

Besides, people can use it to post shit in your bio so thatīs another reason why I voted 'Meh'.

But I guess it could be fun if people donīt abuse it.

Yeah, I would say yes to this if:

- we can delete comments
- we can suspend users from making comments in our profile
- we can disallow comments in our profile alltogether

Currently my stance is more like 'Meh', as these things haven't been commented by XKeeper.

I'd like to see it. It's good for stuff that's not thread worthy, and too short for a PM.

Then you just prevent the people who don't like you from posting comments on you, and then you get nothing but an exercise in ego-boosting.

I voted meh.

I don't really like the idea of user comments, unless their was a feature that allowed you to disable user comments on your profile, then I would probably be ok with that.

There's nothing really wrong with ego-boosting as long as you're not flat-out lying to the person

I just think this going to be much more hassle then it's worth.

Wow, this thread makes me chuckle.

How is it going to be any different from posts anyways? What...do we lack the self-esteem to take personal comments now? :\ Shit, I've seen them used too and as Alastor pointed out they are stupid...stupidly humorous really. I had a lot of fun with them myself when I used to be on a forum that had them.

Course, I will say that the text that thing will use is insane.

Except that it's very stupid. You're either letting idiots run around, giving pointless criticism to everyone... Or you're lying to yourself. With user comments, the middle ground doesn't exist.

It's not so much the regulars that'll have problems with it, moreso the sub-lurkers. They might be discouraged by all the morons giving negative feedback. We have to take others into consideration when casting our vote, too.

Although I have to admit, it'd be fun to leave random positive feedback on user's comment pages.

More like annoying, as when people do that and others leave random negative feedback it just becomes a sea of retardedness.

I have a feeling that if they're discouraged already by our posts, user comments aren't going to make it any better or worse.

Sides, the only reason it was implemented in anyways was to be fun. If people get bitchfests in any given profile, they can always report it to an admin or something if they feel offended at which point, said individual(s) would likely get banned for a varying amount of time depending on how retarded they were acting.

I really don't see how hard that would be.

I was thinking of this being more of a, one comment per user per user thing, not really a mini-thread for each user in their profile. Like, you'd have a comment for some user, and you couldn't make a new one, just change the old one. So instead of being a dumb little discussion, it would be like, user comments.
