I know this game is well not mentioned in the list of rom hacking, but have there been any other ideas regarding the wearabouts of this game and sutff having to be edited and stuff, just wondering?

Well it is just that I am also exploreing in hacking DW 2/3/4 as well, but I dout anyone has gotten the chance to look into those games pretty much besides minor text and pattern editing really, besides I just hope there is going to be more people working on making new worlds out of this.

No-one has cracked the compression on the maps for DW2 and up. And if they have, we haven't heard about it :'( in general: DW hacking; fun. DW2+ hacking; anal.

Want to take a crack at figuring out the DW2 town format? I made some text files that show the process of which BITS (map format is not byte aligned) the game reads, and what happens as a result of reading those bits.
