An inside the body tileset. Not complete. What I know needs to be done is add in a bit more shading in the background to show a lot more depth and add in some sort of acid to the ground of both the FG and BG. Anyone else have ideas to add in? |

Stealing an idea from SML2, I suggest giant, random, curvy teeth things. Or rib bones, whatever those were.
And tumors. Okay, maybe not tumors. |

You can use lava or even red water for blood

Originally posted by asdfOriginally posted by Luigi-San + I'll have to agree. First off, blood in someone's stomach? Come on! Second, I was going to draw stomach acid anyway. I highly doubt I'd add in some water, but... if I get some suggestions on how I could pull it off... Tried to show depth in the ribcage... looks kind of weird... I might just remove the depth altogether for that unless someone likes it. I just thought about it: shouldn't I flip the rib bones in the background to show that the spine is actually on the back of Flym? In case you are wondering who Flym is, he is a huge Koopa that I am making in my hack that is going to be... unlinear. So... yeah... |

You could slip water in there as sections of stomach acid that are weaker, but I doubt that would be an easy task. As for the depth of the ribcage, it looks better from a graphical standpoint, but you should really make it look more fuzzy to give a feeling of it being farther away.

Well, if the acid is going to be bubbly as I plan, then I could just make the water parts... not bubble as much... I'll see about it though...
For the acid/water, a sickly green will do, right? Fuzzy, eh? Well, it would look less square... Yeah, I should try it out and see what I can do. |

Just do what the program suggests. Extract the GFX from the ROM, then re-insert them immediately after doing so. Problem solved; it should work after that.

Whatever you do, don't insert your ExGFX before extracting your GFX. If you do, the GFX will become all garbled and you'll have to reimport clean GFX or start again on a clean rom.

Originally posted by Andy Lucky you. I did that after having hacked tons of Toad sprites for my Clockwork Adventure hack, and then lost them all after importing some ExGFX. Luckily, I had a backup AllGFX File, although it was slightly outdated. |

Okay. I clicked the red mushroom (extrack GFX from rom) and then clicked the yellow mushroom and I still had the same problem. Should I be clicking somthing else other than the red mushroom?

Whenever starting a new hack, click the Red Mushroom (Extract) and the Green Mushroom (Insert).
See, there is an ASM hack that changes how the graphics are saved into the rom so you can use all the palettes in a row. In order to install it, you must extract AND insert the graphics. CJ: Looking awesome. So simple, yet so nice. |

I still cant get it to work. Here are the pictures of how I do the 9 steps. Please tell me what I am doing wrong.
Step 1: After downloading the pack, decompress the archive with WinZip, WinRAR, WinACE, PKUNZIP, StuffIt Expander, whatever you use. Step 2: Open up the directory you uncompressed the files to. You should have at least these files: graphics_name.bin Map16Page.bin Map16PageG.bin Step 3: If you haven't already, create a folder in the same folder as your hack's ROM and name it "ExGFX" (case sensitive). Step 4: Rename the file "graphics_name.bin" to "ExGFXxx.bin" where xx = a hexidecimal number from 80 to FFF (It doan't show it in the picture but I changed it to ExGFX81.bin Step 5: Put the "ExGFXxx.bin" file into the folder "ExGraphics Step 6ut the files "Map16Page.bin" and "Map16PageG.bin" into the same folder as your hack Step 7: Open Lunar Magic and open your hack Step 8: Go to whatever level you wish to use the graphics, like a blank "TEST" level, and clear ALL the objects in the level. (now is when I click the red and green mushrooms) Step 9: Insert the ExGFX by clicking the Yellow Mushroom in the toolbar. It always says there arn't any ExGFX in the file. Please help me. You don't call the file ExGFXxx.bin, you have to replace the xx with numbers. That can be any number from 80~FFF in hex. (edited by asdf on 02-20-06 06:56 PM) |
