Dude, he already said that he's going to change the ridable yoshi to Poochy.

Agh, dumb me.

A poochi for the 'yoshi' ... you better remove the 'head' part of the sprite or poochy may look odd.

Nope. That's the only way you're going to get a blank ExGFX file. And don't worry, deleting all the content is as simple as right clicking and holding in YY-CHR on the top left corner, dragging to the bottom right of the tiles while still holding the right mouse button, releasing, and pressing the "delete" key on your keyboard. Once you try it yourself, you'll understand.

Ok I already made some things with TLP for ExGFX. But where can I download YY-CHR?

Try Zophar's Domain.

Zophar's Domain, romhacking.net... Places like that. Both of them have it by the by.

YY-CHR doesn't work on my PC,so I'm guess I'm stuck with TLP, unless someone knows how do disable AVG for a certain file. I'm gonna continue on this hack in the afternoon, it's now 7:45 here

Just so you guys know, I'm well on my way to making a Yoshi-only hack (actually, Mario's still there, you just have to erase his graphics). There are a number of issues left to work out, though, and the game locks up if Yoshi's mouth touches a berry when he dies. I'm not sure how to fix that.

(Please don't bug me about a release date, it's really just a small side project started purely out of boredom...)

I don't see Yoshi as 'cute' myself but most other people do refer to him like that I can't let him look cool anyway so I'll just go with cute.

If you want him to look cool, just put shades on his 'super' form

That's actually a great idea maybe I'll do that with the Fire power or the fly power (or when he's invurnareble)
EDIT:I kinda ran into a problem using ExGFX,when I imported it it replaced some of the 8x8 tiles so my warp pipes got out all messed up,how can I import it where it doesn't replace other data?

Hmm...I could have a use for that if it came in custom block form (IE: it makes Mario's graphics vanish when it is activated), but it's highly unlikely that that is possible. Maybe if you make a "permanent incorrect sprite memory value" effect of sort. With some sprites, when the wrong sprite memory is set, they cause Mario or Yoshi to vanish temporarily. So it looks like Mario is riding air, or that Yoshi is on his own. If you could somehow have that effect set at will (unlikely), it might be possible to put it in custom block form. Only problem is that Mario/Yoshi will appear briefly when turning. But I'm sure you'll find a way somehow.

A new screenshot I used some ExGFX to come up with this ground:

In a few days I think I'll make a ZSNES movie of the first level, and maybe of the overworld if I changed anything on that. Also, how do I edit the Title screen?I've heard it can be done in Lunar but I don't know how.

(Note: You'll need Zsnes for this. No other emulators works.)
1) Make the demo level (level C7).
2) Next, make a copy of it with a level number between 1 and 24 or between 101 and 13B.
3) Open the overworld editor and replace the first level with the copy of the demo level.
4) Click on File > Title Screen > Install Title Moves Recording ASM... and click on Ok.
5) Open Zsnes and enter the demo level. Move Mario like you want him to move on the title screen.
6) When you're done, make a save state.
7) Go back to the overworld editor and click on File > Title Screen > Install Modes Playback ASM & Data. Press Ok and choose the save state you just made.
8) Test the hack and see if the title screen looks like it should. If there's problems, repeat steps 5-8.
9) In the overworld editor, click on File > Title Screen > Uninstall Title Moves Recording ASM and click on Ok.

Open up the Overworld editor, click the file menu, look under "title screen", and select "load title screen". Go wild. Open up the 8x8 overworld tile selector to select tiles you need. Save the title screen by pressing F12 after you're done.

Thanks Now I can at least get done what you see first in the hack.
