1.) Please take the time to coherantly spell your post. Misspellings in the thread title are just going to ring alarm bells. If you're unsure of a word's spelling, just enter it into Google and see what it suggests. Or use dictionary.com. Whatever.

2.) The blue default MAP16 block is your enemy. Never use it, ever. I shouldn't have to say this, but there's been a distressing amount of love for it lately...

3.) Your first hack is very, very likely to suck. So is your second. Treat it as a learning experience, take people's advice on board, and improve.

4.) Download FPI's Chaos Complexx hack. It's a joke hack designed to be deliberately bad. If in any way your hack has even worse design, grammar, palletes and general Terror From Beyond Geocities, then please give the server database a rest and refrain from announcing it until you've improved it.

5.) Levels (or whole hacks...) that are hard purely for the sake of being hard are about as fun to play as being penetrated with a broom handle. With a nail through it. By Dick Cheney. Through your urethra. They are also not big or clever, and by making them, you are simply asking the world to hate you. Making the hack fun and interesting should be a much higher priority than making it difficult. If something is easy and fun, it is still fun.

Just a suggestion.

1.) Uhraa vähän aikaa oikeinkirjoitukseen viestissäsi. Kirjoitusvirheet ketjun alussa antavat katsojalle huonon käsityksen. Jos et ole varma miten joku sana kirjoitetaan, etsi sana googlella ja katso mitä se ehdottaa. Tai sitten mene dictionary.com. Ihan sama.

2.) Oletusarvoinen sininen MAP16 tilan laatikko on vihollisesi. Älä ikinä käytä sitä. Ei olisi pitänyt sanoa tätä, mutta lähiaikoina siitä on ollut ongelmia..

3.) Ensimmäinen pelimuokkauksesi on suurimmalla varmuudella perseestä. Niin yleensä toisesikin. Käytä tätä oppimateriaalina, ja ota muiden käyttäjien neuvoja, ja tulet paremmaksi.

4.) Kokeile vaikka FPI: n "Chaos Complexx" Nimistä pelimuokkausta.

That would help a little but most newbies usually don't read the stickies or even know what they are.

Well, it is comforting to hear #5 on the list, most of my levels are easy, yet fun, and here I thought people wouldn't like that...

We could try giving it a label that all n00bs would click. I mentioned in another topic that they probably wouldn't read it anyhow. The other option is placing the disclaimer at the very top of the forum, with a nice, fancy title to show it off. As for the rest of us...well...this might be a little sneaky, but...we could have an option that opens up in edit profile after you reach X number of posts that hides these disclaimers. Stupid n00bs who don't know how to backtrack (IE: All of them who don't get banned by that point) won't know what hit them.

If they DO disregard this, they'll get another outburst like I had in Ansem's thread.

And then they will say we're all mean. At the best, they'll eventually reform. At the good, they'll leave. At the likely, they'll hang around and annoy everyone.

The problem with making things like this is that the people likely to read something like this are the people who already know this sort of thing.

What they need is a sense of eye-appeal before they post their screenshots. They needn't abuse FuSoYa's romhacking tool like that. He deserves better. And what people need to do to treat him better, is to not be so lazy and leave their hacks looking like festered crap.

Wario World Subcon is the best example of that. Oh, and Super Mario Darkness world with their strobing iggy's castle.

One of the advices I always try to slip in is that if English is your second language, make the textboxes in your first language. That way we won't have to worry about grammar errors and blaring misspellings.

Fu needs better than this. If I see one more person with a cruddy hack saying its finished, I'll rip out their spine and castrate them with it.

8) When you get bad reviews, DON'T lash out at anybody. We are commenting on your hack, and the more effort you put in, the better your reviews will be. Lsah out, and everybody will hate you.

9) don't laugh at "8)".

10) No one said this was something you were supposed to add to; you guys are just doing it to sound clever. And you're failing horribly.

Hey, #8 was serious. After all, that's been a fair problem before, hasn't it?
