thanks to two people mentioning how they listened to ska in that doomed thread about what you listen to, I had to bring it up.

So what kind of ska are we all jamming to here?

Myself, I'm a fan of the Catch 22/Streetlight Manifesto/Reel Big Fish scene, aka third wave, or ska punk.
I have to admit though, Catch 22's sound had really deteriorated in the last year or so. Don't get me wrong, I love them, but as of right now, I think Streetlight is at the top of the ska world. They're shows are fresh, and they always try to change stuff up, while not messing with the right formula. They're coming out with a new cd within the next decade too, which is exciting.

To Danielle: Yes I heard of Save Ferris, but never heard them perform anything
To that other guy that mentioned Link 80: No I've never heard of them either.

A band, which sadly is playing its last show on my birthday, is Bad Larry. They're a local band that does the ska punk scene. If anyone wants to hear more of them, I wouldn't feel too bad sending you the files, as they won't be playing much, if any for a long time.

Link 80 is superb ska and they just re-formed. Right now I'm listening to Dr. Green, which is Lithuanian hardcore punk with ska influence.

Save Ferris did that cool cover of "COme on Eileen" didn't they?

I like Reel Big Fish, but being an old fogey I have to say "Madness" are the best

I enjoy Oi! myself. I just saw The Infected, which is a serious street/hardcore band from Chicago.
