OFF: Sorry for not replying...

____________________________________________________________________

Siryx crossed his arms, staring at Emptiness...

"Heh... I don't strike a deal without knowing both parts of the bargain, my good sir. Tell me what you expect from me in exchange for this power and what side-effects this power may have..." Siryx just stood there, awaiting an answer.

NeoBowser... so, they had sensed the power behind him? Then they must know that this power far outclasses anything they have... and if NeoBowser was to enter this Possibility, this "True Death" would lose its role and all of its influence... unless True Death pledged allegiance to NeoBowser... and well, why wouldn't he do so?

True Death is probably just that... a being of pure destructive power... and it is a known fact that Evil and Death walk hand in hand in most if not all Possibilities. This alliance would allow True Death to become an underling beyond anything this Possibility has ever seen...

... but if True Death's name was a fake sign and that it was actually a common evil being... then it is in this being's interest that NeoBowser does not come into existence. Indeed... if NeoBowser was to appear, True Death would find himself beaten at his own game, becoming a mere servant or even worse, a slave.

Since Siryx didn't know if True Death was one or the other... he had no choice but to let his doubts lead him. He cannot trust this Emptiness... not completely, at least. Until it has been confirmed that True Death and his underlings aren't a threat, he must keep his guard up...

After what seemed like hours of riding through vibrantly colorful, swirling tunnels, I find my Rex Wheelie and I being spewed out of the stupid vortex, right into the air, like liquids from a strong sneeze. I immediately grabbed onto my uni-wheeled motorbike helper, just in time to find out it mowed through a bunch of feather folk.

Before I even had the chance to feel guilty, we crashed through the side of skyscraper. I quickly shifted my body to the side, causing the Rex Wheelie to turn and attempt to skid to a halt. Unfotunately, with the Rex Wheelie's massive build and the amount of momentum we had, we went straight through the other side of the building.

I was quite thankful for my short and round body. Less surface space means less places for pain.

We managed to realign ourselves just before hitting the pavement. Shards of glass and metal rained all around us as we skidded on a better surface, and all I had to shield me was just my baseball cap and sturdy backpack. It was a rather unpleasant downpour, I'll tell you what. And my Rex Wheelie wasn't happy about having its jet black frame being scratched up.

After the adrenaline rush had gone, the debris finally settled, and the Rex Wheelie actually stopped, my wandering eyes reminded me of where I was.

"New York City.... Where the hell is the traffic?"

The Channel Six building down the road told me where I was, but the lack of insults because I'm in the middle of the road told me this might not be the same city I knew before. I soon notice there was actually death and destruction laid all round. I felt a bit uplifted with the knowledge that my crash didn't seem out of place, but quickly shook that thought away. The feather folk that were mowed down earlier may be the cause of this.

My Rex Wheelie began to growl a bit. It sensed something.. obviously more troubling than seeing dead bodies littered around. Against my better judgement, I decided to let my ride do the driving.

After driving through the lifeless streets, we managed to find some signs of life. Seeing as how my sharptoothed ride was almost to the point of snarling, I decided to be on my toes as we slowly approached the group.. with what seemed to be an anthro'morphic Raichu?

"Excuse me for interuptting your internal monologue, but could you tell me what's going on? I'm.. not from around here."

Siryx turned to Kirbynite, smirking evilly...

"Well well well... what do we have here? An intruder, it seems... and one that looks like Kirby, as I can see! Good... this should be fun..." said the humanoid Raichu, staring at Kirbynite in a creepy way...

Siryx slowly pointed Soul Eater, his Dark Weapon, at the puffball... "Now... your soul shall make a nice snack for Soul Eater and I shall take away your powers. If you surrender now... then I will maybe take pity on you and try to make it as quick and painless as possible... if I feel like it. Also... do not even THINK about running away or fighting back. Resistance... is futile."

Black flames surrounded Siryx as his eyes turned blood-red. His gaze pierced straight through his soul as Siryx gathered all of his powers and attempted to make all of Kirbynite's negative feelings surface so that he may feed on them.

If Siryx had been paying attention, he'd have noticed the solemn-faced young man who had approached him from behind...

It was strange, to him. Really, it seemed almost as if every time he entered the scene, there was a cacaphony of dead bodies and destruction around him. None of it was, of course, his fault... But it sorely reminded him of that alien mantis he had once faced. And the robots, oh, the robots...

He was short. Only a few inches under six feet, he thought, but around his peers his thin frame looked rather unimposing. He wore a dark green vest, with an incredible length of tiny wire surrounding his arms. Dark jeans. Cropped green hair, a haggard face, and what looked like they could have been at one time some very expensive italian shoes.

He said nothing. He had been far too scarred and far too scared for far too long to want to say anything ever again.

He rarely gave his name; it wasn't like he was able to. But for those with a nose for knowledge, he referred to himself with just one name...

"Miller".

-----------------

Johnathan nodded. He understood a little better now. But still...

Johnathan: "I see. He is a pathetic being, then. No concern for what is truly important. Do with him what you will, but I may not be around next time to save you. Or you, me. Good day."

He did nothing more than walk away...

-----------------

Evan was completely taken off guard by the knee to the stomach. Of course, that didn't mean it hurt him like being blasted with a tactical nuke or a satellite laser would, but still, it was kinda inconvenient to be suddenly hit in the gut by what you previously thought was an innocent little girl with a disproportionately large weapon.

Using his catch-you-off-guard-since-he's-a-pretty-big-guy agility, Evan grabbed the little girl's knee as soon as it connected and softened the blow a bit, an instinctive reaction from one-too many hammer shots to the gut in his own dimension. Suddenly realizing what this implied, he let go of her bewilderedly, backed off a few feet, and tried to yell out to Shen.

Evan: "Sh-shen! What the hell is going---"

And then the barrier.

"Oh..."

As soon it looked at me, I felt strange sharp feeling inside of me. I started to feel old agitations I thought I had forgotten rise out. I suddenly remembered a bulldozer being dropped onto my crops... I remembered being smacked in the face by shrimp.. Why was I remembering such nonsense?

I felt the Rex Wheelie slightly quivering. No doubt the poor thing was being affected as well. I made the decision that I had enough by pulling out my Star Rod from my backpack. The tiny star on the tip of my candy cane striped weapon shined brightly, and sprinkled the air with a trail of random colors.

The Rex Wheelie calmed down a bit as it felt warmed by the Star Rod's presence. I, too, felt a lot better.

"A weapon like that, I take it you don't have any moral fibers for me reach for easily, huh?" I spoke in a calm manner. I tried my best not to sound cocky.

"My helper doesn't feel like I should leave all of you be, but I'm a bit too busy to take care of.. whatever business you all have."

With a weapon like the one the Raichu has definitely be a large cause for trouble. I was itching for a fight, but I couldn't sway from my concern for my lost friend.

Emptyness: "What are you all doing here!?"

The entire city shook as the voice yelled.

Loki: "Don't worry sir, I'll take care of them."

Sien: "Don't be a fool, they both walked in here unharmed!"

Loki ignored Sien warning and took out his sword and leaped towards Miller. In mid-air, his sword started to glow and changed its shape. It was now a perfectly clear crystal!

Loki: "Crystal Shower!"

Loki slashed downwards at Miller and thousands of little crystal projectiles gracefully penetrated the air, and anything else between them and the ground. Sien started to move, but she didn't like the feeling that the pink one had. As if to calm her, a resounding crack echoed through the area. Sien turned to see her captian waking up.

Emptyness: "Dispose of them. All three of them!"

The statue shattered, leaving behind a muscular woman. She cracked her nuckles and took out her sword. She threw it, not at Siryx, Kirbynite, or Miller, but directly behind them. The sword stopped in mid-air.

Guy: "So, you found me."

Guy had caught the sword and dropped it. He calmly walked off. He had knowledge the others didn't possess. If he fought a captain now, he would never win.

Emptyness: "The other... get him."

The woman moved very quickly and jumped over Kirbynite and grabbed her sword. She then motioned for Kirbynite to follow her, away from everyone else.

Emptyness: "Siryx, all I expect is your loyalty. You will have the power to absolutely destroy any living thing. Your sword can destroy the soul and the body, but the reincarnation will still exist. With my power, you can even destroy that."

The little girl continued her attack. She jumped at Evan again, but this time, she was trying to land a kick right on the center of his head.

Little Girl: "See, you're still standing, the girl over there only took one hit!"

The little girl's movements were incredibly fast, and they weren't even in a pattern, they were completely random. After trying the kick, she flipped over Evan and tried another kick to his back, keeping with momentum, she aimed another kick square at his ass.

Shen knew it wasn't close to over. This girl hadn't even used her sword yet...

Zaraki ripped the spear from his stomach and dropped it on the ground.

Origin: "You let your emotions carry you to far..."

Zaraki stepped forward and held his sword pointed right at Origin.

Zaraki: "I don't care if I do. I fight to kill!"

Zaraki charged at Origin and Origin formed another spear. Origin tried to push the sword aside, but it cut clean through the spear and right into Origin.

Zaraki: "You can do better. You have more power than this!"

Origin grabbed the sword with his hand and removed it from his arm. His aura became visible miles away, but so did Zaraki's.

Origin: "The blood lust drives you more than love or hate ever could, interesting."

"Stopping even reincarnation.."

The power to nullify something as powerful as a hundred percent guarenteed clone gen-portable and one-ups... This is something that is quite impossible to ignore. And yet..

I still followed the muscular woman. My friends often called me a procrastinator at times. Sure, I work hard at what I do, but I admit I tend to leave things until the last moment. Of course, I had perfectly good reasoning to have done so before.

This time around, I'm not about to outweigh my friend with something as annoying as this power. I'll get to it eventually.

"Alright then," I said as I kept my grip firm on the Star Rod." I suppose you're not bringing me out here on friendly terms?"

Siryx slowly sheated the sword and grinned... "Hehehe... problems with pesky heroes?"

He turned to Emptyness, still smirking... "Loyalty... You can't even get competant minions to beat up some basic heroes and you expect me to become a servant of True Death?..." Siryx closed his eyes... "Amateurs..." he whispered to himself.

He opened his eyes and crossed his arms. "Now now... I have no intention of serving True Death... if your master has sensed the flow of power and guessed my true nature... then he knows that he cannot control me. Trying to is futile."

Siryx rolled his eyes, sighing. "Someday... you will understand my nature... but for now... let us make a deal. If you give me this famous power... then I shall leave and continue on with what I was doing. If your master has half a brain... then he'll know that his goals will be fulfilled if he allow me to wield this power... else, it's his loss."

There was a quick movement, and a throwing motion. Suddenly, Miller was gone, out of the way of the crystal rain. He appeared a fair distance from Loki, and a cloud of dust kicked up from his feet as he knelt to a stop. There was a faint glint in the air, and a sharp electrical charge seared up from Miller's hand to Loki!

Miller: "..."

---------------

Evan gasped at the girl's sudden burst of speed, and her assertion that she had beaten Shen. This was, of course, while catching her foot in a ham-sized fist that made its way to his face and twisting it to the side. It was no use, though... She managed to flip over his head and kick him from behind, in response to which he staggered forward. He whirled around and the kick that was going for his arse went for his crotch instead.

...

...Yeah.

The woman kept going, now out of sight and hearing. She looked around, making sure no one could see or hear them. She took out her sword in one hand, then she threw it towards the pink puff ball. It came up short and stabbed into the ground. Then, she dropped to her hands and knees, trying to get as low as possible.

Woman: "Please, help us, free us from that demon. Remove our leashes and chains and let us go back to the way things used to be."

A few tears fell from the womans face. She had acted against her master, if she turned back now, she would be stripped of her power.

Woman: "We can't physically act against him or he'll destroy us all, so please, help us."

Emptyness: "You will NOT threaten me!"

The emptyness began to take a shape, what looked like very heavy armor started to appear, completely black. The helmet had large broken horns on it.

Armor: "If you threaten me, I will destroy you myself and you will not return, the darkness that spawns you will fade into nothingness!"

Another statue began to crack...

... which was probably worse for Miller than it was for Siryx. The electrical charge hit Loki like he was standing still, but he didn't seem to badly hurt from it as he landed on the ground without even a scorch mark or a scratch. The crystal blade began to shine brightly.

Loki: "My power... my special power... Is to convert the energy from other's attacks into one of my own attacks!"

Loki held the sword in the air and fire shot from it. Hardly a second later and fire balls started to rain over Miller, at least, it seemed like fire balls at first. As it hit the ground though, there was a solid in it, charred sulfer was left behind, still slightly burning. Miller would have to worry about the heat and getting his skull crushed in.

The little girl giggled as Evan's eyes bulged. She tryed to stifle her laughter, but she couldn't helping and her giggle turned into a laughing fit, where she actually rolled on the ground laughing.

Little Girl: "Why is it that all the strong ones are so stupid!?"

The little girl kept laughing, her immaturity was very obvious.

Origin: "However, you're a child in my eyes."

Zaraki came against at Origin, this time Origin didn't even try to fight back with strength, he simply moved out of the way. Zaraki lashed out again, but only the air was there to greet him.

Siryx stared at Emptyness, grinning.

"Yes I will threaten you! YES I WILL!" his confidence grew and grew as he felt the Darkness gathering...

Siryx stood there, silent for a short while... and then, he spoke.

"I can and will threaten youž, inferior being! The more you will hate me... the more you will be angered... the closer you will be to your ultimate doom! Go on! Hate me more! You hate me enough to wish death upon me, don't you? You are angered enough to unleash your wrath upon this body, isn't it? GO ON! Go on and offer yourself, body and soul, to Him!" Siryx sheated Soul Eraser and stood there...

"Can you feel it? The pure flow of power... the anger... the Hatred! It is gathering... Go on! Do not resist! Give in to Him and surrender yourself to Him, giving in to your anger and attempting to destroy my body. Even if you break it, it won't matter. Anyway... you seem like a better... PUPPET..." Siryx said the last word especially loud, his grin reaching it's maximum size.

Truly, fooling the inferior beings of this world was sooo easy. True Death really need to find himself some new minions!... for those ones are complete incompetants! Trying to cut off a link of Hatred by giving in to snger? What a joke...

But well, getting through those clowns was worth it. As incompetant thab his underlings might be, Siryx suspected that True Death might be definitely smarter and stronger than all those morons... and anyway, that Emptyness goon seemed like an inferior goon. He lacked the aura.. .and his armored self was big... but rather lame-looking, actually.

Still, a Captain was now awakening... and since this one would be a greater servant, Siryx couldn't wait. Surely, this new minion will prove itself more worthy than Emptyness who only proved his stupidity and weakness... who knows? Maybe the Captains even exceed the powers of his limited physical form?... well... DUH! Most probably or else, he'll be disappointed.

I picked myself up from the ground after losing my balance on the Rex Wheelie. It was a bit hard to concentrate after watching a lady pleading before you. I, however, regained myself and stood up straight. I gave my Star Rod a twirl and spoke with a smile.

"Don't you worry. I'm aimin' to take care of that demon lot."

I clicked a button on my Star Rod, turning on its Star Blast Charge feature. It wouldn't hurt to start gathering energy now.

"Though, I'd like to take my time in doing so. I don't understand what's going on in this world... Maybe gather up some newfound powers or something. Oh, and I've also got to look for a friend."

Woman: "Then you have to leave... when you come back, this city will be turned into a fortress. Talk to the guards and ask for Captain Thrud."

The woman walked towards Kirbynite and grabbed her sword and sheathed it. She then cut herself across the arm and gave a scratch to her face.

Thrud: "They'll think you're dead."

Thrud walked back towards where the captains had awaken.

Their was another crack from the same statue. It was a horribly big armored creature. It looked like it wasn't human. There was another crack, but it didn't shatter.

Armor: "You're wrong in thinking I'm weak. My body actually ties up the connection from our reality, I'm that powerful."

A sword appeared in the armor's hand, the sword was almost as big as the armor itself.

Evan retaliated in a fit of rage. He immediately rose up and bore down on the little girl, eyes bulging with anger now, rather than pain, and a gigantic gloved fist clenched. His voice boomed so loudly, it was hardly muffled by his cloak and from behind his visor-shades, it almost seemed like there was real fire in his eyes...

Evan: "Bandit Crasher!!!"

His fist engulfed in flames, he slammed it down at the little girl in her laughing fit, sending a shockwave out from the point where his hand began to rush at the ground and following through with a hit that'd register a 7 on the Richter scale.

"NEVER HIT A MAN THERE!"

---------------

Miller said, well... nothing, as usual. He just pointed his finger toward the balls of fire, and the hundreds of tiny wires around his hand whipped outward, snaking around the fireballs and slicing them into burning ashes as they fell. He sent another electric shock out, and the wires in the air were charged with electricity, creating an energy field around him that served to blast the bits of sulfur into dust. He disappeared in another unmarkable motion, and appeared right behind Loki.

Miller squinted and attempted to grab onto the deranged wannabe god, bringing his head close to Loki's. As soon as he gets a good grip on him, Miller opens his mouth and inhales...

The little girl again showed her radical speed, probably due to the advantage of being so small, and actually flipped up, jumped on Evan's hand and jumped onto his head, laughing the entire time.

Little Girl: "*between laughs* See, I told you that you were strong!"

Shen struggled, but she managed to stand up. She was still blocked from helping Evan, but if she could move closer, she could at least distract the girl.

Loki was caught, a little to easily. He got ready for Miller's attack and prepared his own. He held the sword in front of him, but a blade exploded out of the hilt right as Miller was about to perform his next action.

Zaraki swung again at Origin, who just moved again.

Zaraki: "Why don't you fight!?"

Origin: "The same reason why I wouldn't fight your second in command. Brute force does nothing against you but fuel you to keep fighting."

Zaraki sheathed his sword.

Zaraki: "Yeah... it's no fun fighting you."

Origin: "Nor will it ever be. I could destroy you if I wanted, but it'd take to much time and energy. I don't want to destroy you though."

Zaraki: "Whatever."

I turned my Rex Wheelie away from where the woman was heading. I held up my right hand, giving a goodbye wave. I wasn't too sure if she noticed it, but it didn't hurt to still do so.

With a tap to the side, the one-wheeled motorcycle of mine started to move forward. It understood it shouldn't be pushing itself to move fast, since, well, it's kinda noisy when it's hauling ass.

During this little stroll, I was treated to seeing the remains of all the chaos that had occured before I arrived. Was the rest of the world like this? Or was it just this one area? I'd hope for the latter.. It's a lot harder to find information when there's no one to give some.

....I doubt the streets would change from its tormoiled appearance for a bit, though. I was heading to Jersey.

Miller getting hit to the stomach only accelerated his action...

He let out the air he was inhaling... In a loud, reactive sonic scream that threatened to level anything around him, more specifically Loki.

Blood flowed from Miller's wound, and yet all he could do was scream... Anyone around would hear it. Whether their heads exploded or their ears started bleeding was up to them.

The second he finished, Miller zoomed away into the distance, a lightning-fast figure that streamed fluid from hole and sole. His job was, for the time being, done.

---------------

Evan: "RAAAAH! Chaos Control!!!"

The shard of the Master Emerald inside of Evan's coat began to hum softly, as a sudden wave of purple energy expanded from his body. He doubled over in pain as the emerald shard felt hot against his torso and sent a reactive bolt of Chaos Energy through him. However, he also knew that the same thing was about to happen to the little girl if she didn't get the hell off his head by the time the blast came out.

Siryx remained there, staring at the armor. "You think that you can impress me because of your size? What a fool. You understand nothing of what is happening... and anyway, one of our good friends are awakening. I hope for your master's sake that he will understand what is happening... for you clearly are in the dark... not that I am surprised. You are nothing but a common grunt, anyway..."

"So... is there a lot of power coming out of that armor?" thought Siryx, letting his living weapon read his thoughts...

"Sure! He is absolutely no match for you. The connection that the foe has is pretty weak ; a strike or two and he'll run for cover. The power that comes out of that statue is another story, however. It's raw power output is inferior... but it's power is genuine and probably overpower you in your current state." explained the multi-eyed weapon.

Siryx grinned. Looks like he's right. He prepared himself. Facing that weakling should help against boredom while he waits for one of True Death's captains to awaken...

Loki's sword flashed and the entire sonic blast was absorbed into it. Loki used the energy instantly, knowing exactly how to stop Miller from retreating. Loki hardly took a step and he was completely gone from view, entering a state of speed that surpassed anything anyone in the circle, except the captains, had ever seen. Loki appeared right about Miller, regardless of where he was, and slashed straight down, releasing the energy of the sonic scream in a single, thin, wave of energy.

The armor didn't even get the chance to step outside of his own energy as the statue finished cracking. The shards of the statue exploded into deadly shrapnel, all aimed at Siryx. What was left was a rather large figure, in the same death angel clothes as all the rest, but with a wooden looking helmet that covered his entire face. It looked more like balsa wood than solid wood though.

Thrudd: "Destin!"

The rather large figure looked towards the approaching Thrudd, who looked cut up. Destin sniffed the air and looked towards Siryx.

Destin: "A rat made it this far? What are the sentries doing!?"

Thrudd: "He's stronger than he smells."

Destin: "Who did that to you, was it this rat?"

Thrudd: "No, don't worry about it. He isn't even worth our time, let's let Death's Armor take care of it for now. Soon Death will be here and True Death will follow after."

The armor looked at both of them, then at Siryx.

Guy: "So... who are you?"

Guy (Dark Phoenix) was walking by Kirbynite now. He had many questions for this strange person, especially why the captain didn't kill him when she could've.

Guy: "I know you aren't around here, I would recognize you."

The little girl jumped into the air over Evan's head, took out her sword, and hit the energy straight back down towards Evan as soon as it left him. Naturally, she was laughing the entire time.

Meanwhile, Shen was forced to watch, the only thing she learned from the little girl was her name. Ami.
