It seems that SMW's rom has dissapeared off the face of the internet? 
I googled so many different ways to find an actual dl of the rom (Not those damn sites that make you vote 4 times PROPERLY and say you didn't vote right/cheated, yet the vote links are different when you try again, and if you retry in another window, the links are always in the same order). I have an OLD ( I'm damn sure) hacked version of mikeyk's rom only with hacked levels with the hammer bros. and Racoon leaf, but no other SMW roms...
So anyone have any thoughts? |

It's just you. There are at least two sites I can remember offhand that are still up, have no forced voting, and have a good SMW ROM available. You just need to know how to properly use Google. Searching for "[GAME NAME]" download ROMs" is usually a good bet. If you want, add in -porn -hentai -vote to that. That will make it so results with the words "porn", "hentai" or "vote" associated with them will not show up. Not like the first two are bad or anything, but I find that ROM sites with that kind material are usually fake.  |

| I noticed the same thing...the other day when I went looking for it, I had to go to a no name rom site just to get one that was the US version, with a header, the usual place I go to had it, but it was headerless(could have just added a header, but wanted to make sure it would work right) and finally I found the right one.. | |||

| Yeah, I guess it was me. I tried using limewire to get the SMW rom and...it took like ten minutes to find JUST Super Mario World out of SMW 2 and SMAS + SMW roms. (edited by Vilgirio on 02-03-06 12:57 PM) |

| Those "VOTE 4 US IN TOP 434124 ROM SITZ 26 TIMEZ PLZ" pages are so goddamn simple to bypass if you know javas Dumping your own ROMs is not only the legal way to do it, but it's also a hell of a lot easier. And you can ensure you won't get those shitty intros the dumpers stick in them. It keeps getting easier and easier too... N64 can be dumped via Gameshark, GBA and DS can be dumped via DS itself (using wifi or flash cart), Gamecube can be dumped via PSO+BBA... at this rate the next consoles will just store their games on SD cards or something.  |
