When i was a kid, i loved horror movies, and i watched hundreds of them. There are 2 in particular that i remember thinking were extremely scary when i was somewhere between the ages of 6 and 9. I would like to go watch them again to see if they really were that cool, or if i was just that young The problem is i have no idea what the titles of these movies are, all i have are vague memories of some of the scenes from them. I'm hoping if i describe them maybe someone out there will know what the name of the movie is. Both these movies must have been made sometime in the 70s or early 80s at the latest. So here goes...

In one movie there was a young girl, probably in her early teens, and she is lost or something in a rural area. She ends up at this big fancy mansion and a strange older woman lives there and kinda takes her in temporarily. The girl is wandering around in the back yard, which is like a huge vast orchard. She is out there around dusk and she sees someone approaching distantly in the orchard. As he gets closer it is obvious he is a zombie and is running to get her. She climbs up a tree to get away from it and it keeps leaping and trying to grab her. Then the older woman comes out and calls the zombie off like she is in control of it, and sends it away. I think she is some kind of witch or something. I also remember there being a scene where people are going somewhere in a schoolbus on a rural dirt road, and the bus gets surrounded by zombies and they break out the windows and start getting inside.

In the other movie a family moves into a house and there are small pale humanoids living inside the walls secretly and spying on them. They are afraid of the light and mainly live in the basement. At some point they start killing the people in the house and there is a scene where they drag a woman into the basement and she has a camera, which she starts using, and the flash scares them away long enough for her to get away.

No, thats not it, i saw "The People Under The Stairs" not that long ago, in this one the things living in the house were much smaller than the kids in that movie, and more non-human looking.

Sorry I can't help you with either of those...but I hope you don't mind if I ask about a movie mystery as well. I've posed this question to a few movie buffs who are older than I am, and at least one of them said the scene sounded familiar, but they couldn't place it.

This movie or TV show had a character who could pass through solid objects. At one point, they went through a door, and the camera showed a view from the inside of the door - a 3-D scene of wood textures. I can't remember anything else about the movie or show, but for years, I wondered what else happened. I'd also like to see if that wood scene looks as cool as I remembered.

This sounds like the movie "Ghost".

emcee - Thanks...you're the only person I've talked to who had any idea at all. I've seen Ghost a few times, and I don't remember any "inside of door" scene for certain because all of those times were years ago...but it would make sense for that to happen in the movie, and in 1990, it was certainly possible to render that sort of thing. None of my friends can remember the movie well enough to know whether or not the scene is in there, but one of them thinks there was something similar with a metal door. I am a fan of the movie, though (especially because of Whoopi Goldberg ), so I think I'll settle this by getting the DVD.

God, the same thing happened to me a while back, but I found out the movie it was.

I was about 5, and just snuck into the living room to watch some TV at midnight. Then this movie came on, and I remember that it had vampires and stuff, and in the end one came up with a head that was nothing but burned flesh, and it was blown apart. That image never left my mind, due to me being quite horrified by it.

Well, last year I had an HBO free view on my sattelite box, and I decided to watch some TV. And low and behold, this movie I stumble upon seems to be familliar. I had no idea how, but kept on watching it. And finally at the end, the guy with the burning head popped on the screen, and I thought now he gets his head blown off in a shower of ashes, and low and behold it did! Fricken scared the crap out of me, being able to remember that movie like that.

That zombie movie doesn't sound familliar, but that one with the humanoids... rings a few bells...

Its been a few years, but there is definately was seen where he walks through a door and there's some computer generated graphic of the inside of the door. There is also a part where a guy walks through him and there's a graphic for that too.

I love that movie. But mostly for the crazy guy on the subway. It could have done with a little less Swayze though.

Thank you again! I'm still going to get the DVD. It's strange...I thought I sort of remembered a "going through a person" scene in the (no longer a) mystery movie, but I didn't mention it because the thought was so vague. It could have been something from a dream or just a random made-up idea.

I liked the crazy subway ghost, too, and the actor who portrayed him. Too bad the guy died not too long ago.
