I am currently in the making of a snes hack. Castlevania: Dracula X. Aka, Vampires kiss. I used Translhextion on my last nes hack. It seems to find very little text in smc roms. Also refuses to find some of the text that exsits within the game to be changed. I really need to change alot of the text in that rom. Does anyone else know of a better text editor that actually works? If so, it needs to be windows, not a DOS program. | |||

Most SNES games use actual text compression rather than plain tile sequences which could be looked up with relative searching. Therefore, you ought to get appropriate tables for the game you try to edit. Zophar's or Google might be worth a search. |
