Yeah, but it kinda takes the fun out of racing when tons of people have 200+ wins and only use Yoshi. They could at least have some variety...

DRY BONES IS THE WINNER!

I don't care what cart he is in. He rules every one!

And snaking with the heavier karts can be tough, but works well when taking corners early!

...maybe I just need to find some good people to play with around me. The only people who can play with me either don't bring their DS with me or just want to play Poker before they play Mario Kart because he would lose to someone who has never played it.

I use either Yoshi or Dry Bones... but if I use Yoshi, it's Yoshi + Cucumber. I like that combo. :\

I'll occasionally mix things up to experiment though.

I use Dry Bones in the Dry Bomber. Also, just recently, I've been experimenting with a new kart combination which is Dry Bones on the Standard YS Kart. I have yet to try it online though, I'll do it tommorow after my parents go to bed so they won't distract me.

This is the problem of the scrub, as described in that article I linked to. If you decide not to use a particular technique because it's "cheap," you will get destroyed by those who do use the technique and won't have any fun. If you decide to learn the technique, you'll be able to race on an even playfield without introducing vague rules.

I switch off between Rivals and Regional, and I tend to see plenty of variety. Yoshi is probably the most popular, but still.. it's not squeaking madness.
I also see a lot less snakers by doing Regional. It could be coincidence, but still..

Dry Bones is so cute. I love his victory clap thing omg. He can't compete with good ol' Yosh though.

I'll only be able to play when I'm with my brother, though. That will be sometime Friday, Saturday, and Sunday every week, possibly.

Yay! I have yet to play a real race though...

Just a quick question for you: Which of you are fools think snaking/SSMT is cheap, and which of you are reasonable don't?

All depends on the situation. Online, there are no rules, so snaking should be allowed.
Offline, if I know the person sucks, I toy with them as we race and still win.

So... for snaking, I don't think it is cheap, but it is a method to win.

And everyone, my brother has yet to find a match online as when he starts the race everyone disconnects.

That's his code. I had his AIM here, but he really doesn't like playing the game... but he will play Animal Crossing...

Even though cpubasic's brother doesn't like playing MKDS... That doesn't mean I don't.

I'll pretty much always take a match

I don't see it as cheap. I have a strange driving method that does work. If anyone wants to race a decent non-100% snaker - Just ask. I mainly only snake on Figure 8 Circuit, if any track.

I don't have TOO much of a problem with snakers... but when they do it every damn second of the race(as I've seen once), it kinda pisses me off.

Myself, I only really snake corners.

Then you're not snaking, which is by definition going back and forth.

I snake every second so my friends don't leave me in the dust. We're all awesome.
