Starting next monday, people from Microsoft are going to broadcast a series of freely available webcasts about game development with C#. Lasting until early febuary, this 11-part series will feature topics like 3D engines, collision detection or artificial intelligence. Last but not least you can earn yourself a MSDN webcast super hero action figure. This alone should be worth signing up in my opinion.

waiting for C superiority argument...

in the meantime, this looks interesting...i wonder how their 3D pipeline is setup... all these topics look like a short introduction for a graphics course and what it entails as well

You probably won't get a C/C++ supreiority arguement in this case. Other then being more portable, C# tends to give you 90% of the flexibility for only 10% of the anoyingness. (Read: No heap pointer management.)

Well I can almost ensure you C/C++ will be faster, but it's not too important for simple things. You might see a difference in a 3D game, but what matters most there is your video card.

But then this isn't about what language is better.

Microsoft is going to be doing a whole series of online webcasts about doing 3D game programming in C#. Might want to check it out.
