So the other day, "The New Guy" was on. I watched it, though it was a really, really shitty movie. I couldn't stop watching. And I hated it. Right now "Malibu's Most Wanted" is on. Both of these movies fail. And fail hard. But I feel compelled to watch. Does this ever happen to you, or am I as masochist or something?

Alone in the Dark.

My friend bitched and bitch syaing 'let's go watch a scary movie'

We watched it. The worst movie I have seen in theaters. I feel unpure by watching it.

As for movie's on television, well if the 'Land Before Time' series counts. Every one of them after the first one. Geez, you figure the stupid dinosaurs would die alreayd or something. That and 'Elecktra' I don't know if I saw this on TV or on DVD but it sucked and blowed at the same time.

But I didn't buy it on DVD, and I don't plan to.

I saw it. My God, I felt embaressed that I suggested watching it at my friend's house. The Rock at one point actually says "I am not suppose to die!"

But the way he said it, made it seem out of character. As if he were saying it to the Director or Producer of the movie.

I almost cried when watching it. Jen didn't even look hot in the movie. I should've guessed that any character that started in 'Daredevil' would suck.

Mind you, I think DD is worth the lint found in pockets.

Elecktra actually wasn't that bad, I did enjoy it .. though it did lack in some .. well most areas. I wouldn't buy it on DVD though.

But really crappy movies that come to mind right at this moment are The Grudge and House of Wax. I think it was because I was expecting more horror and I think Paris Hilton ruined House of Wax.

There are many more movies that I wish I could mention, but the title's of them are lost to me right now

I refused to go out and see Doom for one reason...because I know that Hollywood doesn't exactly have the King Midas touch when it comes to video game franchises. Their track record speaks for itself. Based on the reviews and the word of good reputable friends who did go out to see it and did not wish to see me waste good money, I don't think I will be seeing it anytime soon.

The one exception to all of this was Mortal Kombat...well, almost. I actually thought it was a halfway decent movie that kept to the story and spirit of the original game without blowing it all way out of proportion. In other words, it would have been a pretty decent movie in it's own right even if it was not based on an already popular brand...

That is, until the overly unrealistic and corny scene at the very end. Then it all went to hell in a handbasket and completely invalidated itself. Remember how you felt after you had listened to that Milli Vanilli album and enjoyed the music for months, then found out that those two guys never sung, played, or wrote a single solitary note of it? That's sort of what it was like for me...I heard that seven dollars I spent to see Mortal Kombat laughing at me, safely locked away in the cash register beyond my reach for the rest of eternity. I'm not going to ruin it for those of you who haven't seen it yet. Rent the video and relive the big letdown on your own.

I'm hearing through the grapevine that movie to see, or not see, in 2007 is going to be TransFormers. It appears that the big boys from planet Cybertron are planning to make an appearance on the big screen. I am filled with a sense of anticipation, and at the same time, a sense of dread. I'm sincerely hoping that Hollywood doesn't ruin this one, bacause this is a movie that actually has the potential to NOT suck! Any movie about alien beings at war with each other completely out of their element unleashed on a populace absolutely unprepared for the percussions of which needs to be given the "Batman Begins" treatment to really work properly. I hear that Steven Spielberg of E.T. fame is co-directing, so this movie might actually turn out to be half decent if Hollywood doesn't use it as a promotional engine to help Hasbro sell a new line of toys.

And to tell the truth...I actually did enjoy "The Grudge". That movie creeped the living holy water out of me...

Speaking of which, the first two x men were kind of really dissappointing especially with things like deathstrike being given such a crappy role. Also, most of the characters really sucked ass and took a backseat to wolverine. Stupid as hell. Gambit is going to be given a minor role because Zak Penn(i think) says that he's a combination of cyclops and wolverine. Douche.

I saw The Grudge in a theater. I thought it might be scary, the previews looked cool. The movie turned out to be boring and made absolutely no sense. Not scary at all.
The worst movie i can remember watching was on TV a couple years ago. It was called Pinata (probably spelled wrong) Island. The acting sucked. But that was the least of its problems. It was supposed to be a monster movie, but when the monster made its appearance finally it was the most pathetic thing i've ever seen. It looked like someone had literally cut and pasted a little demon out of a Sega Genesis game and transposed it over the film. You could see the pixels and everything.

Oh boy, where do I start? Oh, I know. Conair!

Conair (staring Nicholas Cage) has got to be one of the worst movies ever made. There are bad haircuts, awfully recited lines, and way to many coincedances. Pointless fights abound, and get this: The entire second half of the movie is the climax. Taking a plane through a junkyard into the air, while launching a corvett into the air, losing an engine and being forced to make an emergency landing on a Vegas runway, and then finishing with a chase scene between motorcycles and a firetruck. And am I alone in thinking that the Virus's death was a bit overkill? (being chained to the firetruck ladder, slaming through a bridge, falling into a group of electrical cables, and landing on a rock crusher! Oh snap!) Mind you, this movie was so bad that it was excellent.

Jason X was awful in the idea that it was seriously an attempt at a horror film, but my god. Wasn't it hillarious? Jason kills a future grunt by tossing him on a drill, and the others report that "he's screwed." Battle android versus Jason, one of the most one-sided and hilarious things ever to watch. The guns and missle launched at Jason were just there for the fun of it. And after being pimped out by space ants into mecha-Jason? With a Machete? Hot damn, that's funny!

Final Fantasy: Spirits Within. 'Nuff said.

Dukes of Hazard. if anyone else here watches the show on CMT or Spike TV, you can surely relate when I say that the remake sucked. Piece of advice for future directors: sticking Willie Nelson into a movie does not make it a good film. That only works for Toby Keith music videos. And if anyone else dare try it again, I'll set Mecha-Jason on your sorry ass.

Milo and Otis.

...

What, cat got your tongue? *chuckles at self-wityness*

I recently bought the movie on DVD, and it really is as good as I remember. However, seeing it as a near-adult in the 21st century, I realized that it was abundant in animal cruelty. Honestly, I waited for the credits to go to the bottom so I could see the "no animals harmed" stuff, and it said something different. I believe it said something like "animals were treated respectfully and none were killed."

They have Otis fight a bear! And not some film angle BS fight, I mean muzzle to muzzle. And then, hey. Let's see how many ways we can torture this cat (or cats, I can imagine they had to replace them a few times):

*Stick the cat in a box and shove it down a river.
*Have said cat attacked by a bear as well, this time with the protection of... a drawer? WTF?
*Toss cat into deep hole until it starts to meow with hunger, cuz hey. It won't starve, right?
*Snake AND bear fights in a tree.
*Have cat attacked by a (I'd imagine they'd say trained -.-) flock of seagulls...
*And then thrown off a 50ft cliff into the ocean for effect.
*Film said cat climbing out of the ocean, and by god, if it doesn't climg out right, we'll stick it back in.

Face it. They stuck it to Milo in that movie.

Other noteworthy mentions:

The Hulk
Elektra
Jurrassic Park III
Stargate
Tommy
Any Disney sequel
Uwe Boll. UWE BOLL.

And to throw off a few people, some movies that others say are bad but I really feel good when watching:

The Matrix Trilogy. That's right, all three. The only ones who really hate the latter two movies are the people who obsess over them. You know, the ones who think that the movie's a message from the real world.

We're all "hackers" in a way. Why ain't Neo contacting us? Stupid bitch.

The Phantom Menace. If you guys could stand C3PO and R2-D2 in the original trilogy without whining, then no one, and I mean no one, has the right to complain about Jar-Jar Binks. However, if you did hate the droids already, then you're free to enter the Gungan shooting gallery.

End of Evangelion. I can can't the number of people who hated that movie on all 1,000 of my hands, each with 20-something fingers or so. "Oh noes, wtfeck is dis stih!1!??/" I'll tell you this shit, the ending was perfect. The series gave more then enough hints that everyone comes back at the end. You even saw the souls coming back, and you know humans can be reformed in LCL. What's that stuff ou there? No, in front of the giant Rei head! Yeah, that's an ocean of LCL.

Cassablanca. How can someone hate this because it's black and white? It has one of the best stories ever, was an open display against the Nazi regime before WWII by the Warner Bros, and had more twist than a Cheeto curl. The chief of the French police Pwns.

Ha. Man. Saying that is like saying "Adolf Hitler of Nazi Germany." That is, it's redundant. Mention the name Steven Spielberg, or even just his last name, and people are gonna know who you're talking about and what his movies are.

And for the people mentioning Uwe Boll, let me ask you: Have you seen a single one of his movies? I haven't, and I don't doubt that they're bad, but I can't really say that they are as I haven't seen one. I find a lot of people bashing the guy, calling him worst director ever (I thought Edward D. Wood, Jr. earned that title?) without ever even seeing any of his films. Kinda ridiculous, no?

Bad movies...

Gary Truman Show
-I found that movie to be boring and depressing. I don't give a fuck if it earned some awards, I thought it was awful.

The Blair Witch Hunt
-Need I say more?

The Son of the Mask
-This was a big fat turd. A movie about a CGI baby inheriting the genes of the mask somehow? It makes no sense.

Bewitched
-A movie about a classic show. There were way too many stupid lines and Will Farrell really lost my respect for him as a comedian.

Top-Gun
-A bunch of pilots hi-fiving eachother throughout the entire movie saying, "You're badass!" "Yeah, I'm badass!" "No you're badass!" "Yeah, I'm badass".

Bad characters...

The "you can do it" guy
-Was funny in the Waterboy, not funny anymore. I say, "You can do it! Shut the fuck up Rob Schneider!"

Types of movies that are generally annoying...

-any videogame-based movie sucks

-any '2' movie sucks

-any 'retarded family with retarded dog doing stupid things' movie such as, Beethoven, Cheaper by the dozen, Are we there yet, etc... sucks

-any regurgitation of old movies suck. The Fog went from R-rated to PG-13. That pisses me off! The directors take a great movie and turn it into vomit. Let's face it, no one likes an unoriginal movie.

-any Spy-Kids-related movie sucks. I bet my soul to the devil the director is a pedophile.

-any Jackie Chan, Owen Wilson, Ben Stiller, Bruce Willis, Chris Rock, Eddie Murphy having a homoerotic(forgive me for that part) karate action comedy piece of crap movie, sucks.

-any Julia Roberts blatently getting stalked by Richard Gere movie sucks.

-any superhero movie with bad jokes suck. In almost any movie with these shitty lines will have this peanut squeezed in the crap: Badguy says, "Say goodbye!" *boom!!!* Goodguy says, "Goodbye!" (I'm so cool now for saying that! lol!)

-movies with "scary", psychic children. "Mommy, I have to tell you a secret..." "What is it sweety?" "I..." *suspension builds* "Yes?" "I have UTI." DUN DUUUUUN!!!! AHHHHHHHHHH!ZOMGWTFBBQ!?LOL!!!

-Teen high-school movies. They are as cliche as any movie can get... STOP MAKING THEM!!! The only good one was "Elephant" (it was actually pretty damn good).

Btw, Neo is clearly a bednr... rifk! XD

Bad Movies I've seen-

The Opposite of Sex: This is the worst theatrical movie I have ever seen. The plot makes no sense. A teenage girl leaves home to move in with her gay half brother, then skips town with his boyfriend, stealing thousands of her brother's money. After that, that guy's previous boyfriend spreads a rumor that the girl's brother molested him, so the brother heads off with a sex-hating woman friend to find his sister, the sister then dumps the boyfriend to run off with her own boy friend with only one ball, gets pregnant... you get the idea.

Last man on Earth: This movie was on T.V., and it is just... awful. It's about a world where there are no men. Women are basically all lesbians, and reproduce using genetics. There are some men, but are all either rebels against the women, or are all 'sex toys' for the women. A woman scientist manages to clone and raise the only male human, which all the women police are now after.

Who thinks up these things...
