(imagen x-files music when you read this post beocuse I think it goes with the title)
(yes I know it's a bad pun) Okay so here's the scoop. Feel weird talking about this on a forum. Need input though. Basically I'm into this chick. We're good friends I know she digs me, but just as a friend though. I dig her as more then a friend. Hence the quandry. See it dawned on me that she seems to be into the artist types. Now yall I'm pretty creative fo shizzle, but like not into drawing so much. Could do some digital art that rocks, but like not sure if like it's the art, or just the motivation to make art that matters with her. Although thinking this out to post it makes it seem clear she's gonna know I'm just trying to work the ol' strut, so as long as long as it's all real, s'all good. Basically the question is should I wait till I come accross a chick I don't have to try with or put a some energy into one that I like? I mean we click good as friends. So it's not like we're incompatable. Just the thing that turns her on isn't my cup of tea. Course since we're friends if something more clicked and then we broke up that would make the friendship messy for awhile. Like majorly. I think that's also an issue. We're good friends. Relationship down the crapper could ruin the friendship, ar atleast that's a fear. Don't think that's an issue as we're both the emotionally cool type. Oh and another thing she told me I'm like a brother >.<. That can't bode well. Should I just take a hint and mosy on off into the sunset? Just posting this hoping for some different persepectives on this. (edited by netscape on 01-14-06 05:15 AM) (edited by netscape on 01-14-06 05:19 AM) (edited by netscape on 01-14-06 05:23 AM) |

Any girl you have to work for is better. From what I've gathered, it shows her you're willing to commit to something. And women like guys that are willing to put effort into a relationship.
I say go for it. Life's to short to regret anything... |

Thanks for the thoughts.
I need to think about this more though. I have to figure out how to get past that like a brother thing. Cuase otherwise it's gonna be like ewww for her. |

First of all, I've never seen ANYBODY that types like you. Very.. unique to say the least.
Anyways, the whole "friendship," or "brother," thing is the hardest part to get over. I say that you should make a few digital tracks and show her, or something. Perhaps invite her over while you work, as long as the process isn't boring. |

Cool. Maybe build a portfolio of some works and then show them to her first. (This is starting to sound like a business arrangment.) Thanks, the word thing is just my form of art. (edited by netscape on 01-15-06 06:08 PM) |

Nobody's bad at art, other people just don't understand it, in other words the worse your art looks, the more deep she'll think you are.
Really though, is the artist type the only type she's interested in? You could be perfect in every other department, but she just wouldn't be interested if you aren't an artist? Either way, there's still no point pretending to be an artist if you're not just to get in romantic relationship with her, or else you'll have to spend your entire relationship pretending. As cliche as it sounds, I'd say just be yourself. |

The brother sign is an indication that she's not interested. | |||

The brother thing doesn't bode well. Although, I've told a guy he was like a brother to me.. and eventually we ended up going out. But that was like.. once... out of 23849793847 times I've called a friend a "brother".
Don't pretend. Why should you be something that you're not to get her interested? I'm kinda into the whole creative thing to.. I dunno.. people who have a passion tend to have deeper more intracit thoughts and ideas.. so they're more interesting to talk to. I'd say, if you showed her you were deeper in other ways she'd like you more. Like, not with art.. but if you're good at something else. Or even, that you just think deeply. Looking at the stars with her and talking about the universe or something. It's cheesy, but I fall for that.. because it's something I'm genuinely interested in. I'm into cheesy guys though. The kind that'll bring you a teddy bear when you're sick... and then tell you that you're cuter than the teddy bear.. even though you're sick and have tissues hanging out of your nose. Yeah, cheese is good. Uh, I guess my point was to just make it look like you think deeper into things. Like, you see more than meets the eye. Don't treat her like another pretty face, another girl you need to "win" over... just talk to her. About anything. I was talking to this guy and we were talking about how people should sit on TV's and watch couches... because people would be closer and get alot more accomplished. Yeah. Random shit like that brings for great conversations. |

Well, one, don't call'em "chicks".
Them dames like to be called "broads". Two, "working the pimp juice" seems to imply that the lady in question is a ho. |

Thanks for the responses all. She thinks I'm deep. We talk philosophy sometimes. She's one of the classiest people I know and I'd prolly do anything for her if she asked. Prolly take a little convincing for some things though. Anyway She knows I have a high opinion of her. I talked to a mutual friend. There's other matters, suffice to say it prolly ain't gonna happen. I'm going to give the matter one week of my life and then move on.
Thanks again, and keep it real ya'll. \/ peace, ns |
