(INSERT SEMI-WITTY RON MEXICO PUN HERE)

Anyone see him eventually going to Atlanta in hopes Mikey can slap some sense into him? With a baseball bat?

Hilarious how they put that in the game (he's just like Mike in the game, awful, except he's fast!)

Add Buffalo to the list of NFL teams that need a new head coach...so, how many teams now had to hire a new coach since the beginning of the year? Is that 8? Sounds like 1/4 of the league

Well, I guess there's no stopping musical coaches

Also, Vince Young and Reggie Bush are draft-bound.

Funny how everyone was talking as if the patriots won before they played. I love how people talk crap like that then nothing even close to what they say happens. The broncos, whether it was by luck, skill, or just by homefield advantage won and beat the patriots along with everyone's expectations. It was a good game until the patriots made those mistakes.

Uhh...what I find funny is that the Patriots were not a good team at all this year, made it to the playoffs, crushed a very good Jacksonville team, and then hung with also, a very good Denver team.

If you take away the oh, I dunno, minute where the referees made an awful call: +7 Denver, which led directly to: Kevin Faulk fumble, +3, then Ellis Hobbs fumble, it's a whole new ballgame. The ref's call crushed the Pats, and you could see it.

yeah...read in the paper most, if not all of Denver's points, game off of TOs... I think that 50+ yds pass interference call sort of broke their spirits...although, the two TOs on special teams well...i dunno

Actually, what I find funny is that Boston fans act like they've suffered worse than any other sports town or team yet their Red Sox won their first World Series in 82 or so years THE SAME YEAR that the Patriots won their 2nd straight Super Bowl, and 3rd in 4 years, so they haven't suffered nearly as bad as they say they have. If anything, they've probably suffered the LEAST out of all teams/towns. Boston, for the most part, has been a winning sports town for some time. I could name numerous cities which haven't had as much success in terms of professional sports. I don't care if Denver got lucky that game, at least they'll get to see what it's like to finally lose a damn ball game (I'm sure every other NFL team feels their pain).

Thus, even taking away that shoddy 50+ defensive pass interfierence call, the Pats still would've been down and lost 7.

assuming there were no TOs...would denver have scored on their own? that is something I doubt...

I'm assuming you meant to lose a playoff game...because the pats did lose a game in the regular season

oh well, that's done...patriots will be back next year, I don't consider this the end of their run, they are still in the middle of the run...

anyways...colts fall short to the steelers 21-18--more drama the last 6 minutes in the game than all the other playoff games (probably combined). Refs botched a lot of calls and I'm glad for the steelers to be advancing. I want to see a #6 seed in the super bowl (for historical purposes

Um, I don't know what Boston fans you hang out with...but I highly doubt the majority of us act like that.

And then, being down 7 makes the entire game shift strategies. Down anything more that 10 with around 2 minutes is more or less improbable. 7 is a manageable number that they could have worked with.

I picked Seattle to win. As for the other games, don't ask.

I will say that Indy/Pittsburgh WAS a hell of an exciting game but I'm still trying to figure out how that interception call could be reversed, and how fast Vanderjagt can get out of Indy.

so...will his head be on a platter? I'm not too sure...it's not like the guy came in for a few seasons. If i'm not mistaken, he has been a colt all his career... Can't say much for payton either, payton didn't get anything done. If bettis didn't have that fumble...then much of the blame would be on payton... who knows...

and they say being a placekicker is a piece of cake...

The Palamalou (sp?) diving one? It sure as hell looked like an interception to me...

Dungy benched him for too long. Apparently in the past 3 weeks - almost a MONTH - he'd only played 4 series in actual game situations. The whole colts offense looked rusty in the beginning. They're a very rythm-based offense, so it takes a lot of practice in real game situations in order to maintain thier ability. You saw in the fourth quarter they got it together again and were picking up the blitz pressure - But way, way too late. Petyon was obviously throwing to recievers that he thought should be open that were running entirely different routes than he thought they were. The offensive line did a pretty bad job of picking up the blitz, but I think Peyton gets overeager and sends out too many recievers against a blitz - Keep Edgerin James or a tight end back to help out your line.

And NO, you cannot challenge another coach's challenge. The whole game was really poorly officiated, shown by the refs being unwilling to call false start or offsides that one time there was obviously one or the other (Video shows a Steeler lineman moving early and drawing the Colts offsides, which would be a false start on the Steelers and not an offsides or encroachment on the Colts) Thier JOB is to make a call, they HAVE to make a call there. It was funny watching Cower get FURIOUS over them not calling a penalty that should have gone against his own team, though.
