| This is a pirate GB game I downloaded the ROM from a long time ago... I wonder if anyone knows anything about it. The title screen has Mario in the wing cap, his eyes and moustache twitching, while under him is a planet with the label "SUPER MARIO 4" on it. The copyright date in 1996, 1997 Nintendo.
The game itself is alright, though not really Marioish. You start out as Super Mario, who has a Mushroom in his item box and shoots mushrooms, which just roll across the ground and hit enemies. When you hit a mushroom, Mario turns into a blob for a few seconds before becoming Super Mario again. Does anyone know anything about the origins of this game? Specifically, whether it is a pirate original or a hack of another game. |
