And at least the US list is sizable compared to the extremely tiny Japanese list... |

| I'm aware of that Colin, the simple fact of the matter is that most of the games that I own just simply aren't on it yet. And given that they're not exactly top sellers they may not be on it for a long while. It was a large detriment in my choice of purchasing the system.
Instead of getting it, I'm putting my money towards something useful. 
I just bought an AWESOME knitting book with some of my X-Box 360 money. About 25 of it. |

| Hey, I tried to win an Xbox through the equivalent promotion in Canada. Didn't work even though the odds each hour seemed reasonable.
(Dunno if I would have sold it for cash or kept it... probably the former but I would be curious.) |

I'll consider getting an Xbox 360, but I'm really not all that excited about it. The only console I really want is the Revolution; the controller is just so intriguing. *shrugs* XB360's controller is nice and comfy, though, which is good. I've not tried the wireless controllers, so I don't know how those fair, but the wired ones are good. Oh, and as for the graphics, PDZ has pretty good graphics on an HDTV, but I don't think it's enough to warrant a jump to another console generation. It's nice to see littles details here and there that just kind of make you think 'Wow, I'm impressed that they pulled that off on here,' but I don't think it's worth another system. Meh. |

| Personally, I would have sold it if I won a 360, b/c I would have been able to buy another 360 and have extra cash to spare. That thing is/will be going for crazy amaounts of cash on ebay.
We're opening for midnight, just for those 20 people and then, I know, there will be a whole bunch of people who are crying because they're not at the top of the list. Fun.  That's why I'm working the morning shift. |

| I heard PDZ is very good but it's still not that killer app the 360 needs. Apparently the CLOSEST thing to that is PGR3.
Anya: Yeah, but if anyone's made a pre-order and isn't guaranteed a system, they can cancel. Right? I think the only advantage we have here (if I wanted one) is that both Best Buy and Future Shop are located minutes away from each other, and they're each getting in around 48 units each... plus there's an EB in the mall... so yeah, easy 100+ units right there. |

| RANDOM FUN FACT: In the long run, from the number of entries I saw during each drawing for the every10minutes thing, you'd lose money in attempting to go out and secure a 360 only by the sweepstakes.
Just pointing that out as a recreational poker player. 
As far as the 360 goes, I'm not inclined to go out and purchase one just yet. |

| Just some things I'm not clear about (since I've never bought my own console)..
-Reserving a new console doesn't guarentee you'll get it? 
-When a new console is released, how come stores always get so few of them to sell? I want a Revolution next year, and I don't want to get screwed over when it's released.  |

| Zero Hour for MS looks to have gone off without a hitch. With 360 seconds to go before launch (even though it was Pacific time, MS decided to let the attendees get their systems at 9 PM/midnight Eastern), three Best Buy trucks stocked with around 3,000 systems were given a police escort to the makeshift store. Now THAT'S making an entrance.
(And if you want to know where all the extra units went, there you go.) During the school day today I'll likely do my quick overview and see who sold out of stock, if anyone. (PSP launch didn't go so well here.) |
