It's not just you, spel werdz rite. There's been a few posters lately that fail hard. But hey, now everyone knows the new policy is semi-ninjamodding.

np: Manic Street Preachers: "Elvis Impersonator: Blackpool Pier"

Leadoff track from their first post-Richey album Everything Must Go and they haven't lost a step at this point. Sure, it's totally different musically, as it's much more Britpoppier (nice touch with the harp). Lyrically, there's still the same irritation and spite, which makes sense because Richey'd penned most of the lyrics. This one's about a statue of Elvis on a pier in Blackpool (duuuuuuh) but on a more expansive scale, about American culture catching on in Britain. What do they think of it? "American trilogy in Lancashire pottery/Is so fucking funny, don't you know" Not too highly, it seems.

Welcome to Detroit City - Trick Trick and Eminem

Great song. Really, I don't like rap too much, but this is definetely one of my more liked ones. Not really a favorite still. Song is changing to...

We Be Burnin' - Sean Paul

Interesting song. I normally dislike Sean Paul but this is his second song that I like by him. I think the other song I liked by him was Blue or something. This is the last song out on my playlist that is rap and I only 5 out of 40 songs on the playlist are rap so you know I must like this song. Well that raps up this post. I MAKE JOKE! Can you find it?

You Only Live Once - The Strokes, First Impressions of Earth

Brand new album by a band that I've loved for years, and I can't get enough of it. This song is the first track on the CD, and I think it's probably my favorite at this point. Great lyrics, nice and upbeat, great feel to it altogether.
This band just keeps getting better and better.

You'll be Under my Wheels - Prodigy

I didn't like this song the first time I heard it, but I love it now. It's one of my favorite songs in Need For Speed Most Wanted. When I first listened to it, it was just a 30 second clip of the worst part of the song. When I listened to all of it I liked it a lot better. I like a lot of Prodigy's music even though a lot of it sucks. He has some great songs and he has some bad ones. This is definetely one of his better ones to me.

Wu Tang Clan - C.R.E.A.M
I first heard this song from my white gangsta friend, Dan. I liked it; the instrumentals did the rapping pretty good, and I liked the overall composition. Pretty good chillin' song, too. And that's coming from someone who really doesn't like Rap.
Oop... change of songs...
Wolf's Rain OST - Gravity
I just saw the whole series today on DVD. I saw it before on Adult Swim, but no matter how many times I see it, I always cry. It's just such a depressing series. Good, but depressing. The song fits the theme very well. Beautiful, really.

Popcorn - Crazy Frog

Good song actually. I think it's pretty cool. Not really one of those songs you listen to a lot or hear on the radio but it's really cool... and the next song...

Heut Ist Mein Tag - Bluchem or something

It's in the YTMNDs. I like it for some reason. I just sounds cool. It's good... I admit it.

Moby - Live Forever
Hotel (Disc 2 - Hotel: Ambient)
Track 10
7:15

This beautifully ambient track is merely just synthesised chorusy chord sounds, with no set beat. It sounds depressing, but it makes for excelent meditation music. This song, much like every other song on the second disc of Hotel is an absolutely beautiful ambient masterpiece.

You don't want, you need Rasputina's Cabin Fever.

*points to avatar*..

It's an all girl cello rock band. They sometimes distort their cello's by attaching a chord to the bottom of their cello's and running it through an amp. It's genious. The first track on "Cabin Fever" is called "Gingerbread Coffin".. and it's what seriously got me hooked on this band.

Just download that one song. And if you want an example of a song with distortion.. I'd recommend "State Fair", or "Antique Highheel Red Dollshoes". My favorite song on "Cabin Fever" is "Percy Bass".. no distortion, but it's absolutely gorgeous.

My favorite song by them though is on another CD (I think "How We Quit the Forest") and it's called "Rose K". Listen to it, now.

Salmonblaster - Freeway

A pop-punk band from Canada that broke up in the late 90s, but they put out one killer self-titled. Which is widely available on the internet and definitely suggestable to download.

Du Hast - Rammstein

Normally I don't like a lot of really heavy rock or metal but this is a cool song. I have no idea what is being said but it's really cool. You've probably heard this song before somewhere. I know it. If you haven't, this is a must listen to song.

And then you'll post more than a sentence, Sparx? FAILURE.

np: Tom Vek: "I Ain't Saying My Goodbyes"

This is probably what New Order would sound like now if they, ya know, haven't already been around for about 25 years. The guitar at the beginning straddles the lines between indie rock, dance-punk, and electronic, while his voice sounds, well, probably a whole lot folkier than you'd expect. That's just in the timbre, though. He certainly sings it much more like dance-punk, which is what it is. Think more along the lines of Bloc Party, LCD Soundsystem, or VHS or Beta (probably the best comparison, really). Getting this out is much easier when your family's friends with the ex-drummer for Katrina and the Waves.

Oh, and LISTEN TO MORNINGWOOD.

Green Day: Jesus of Sububeria

I just now got American Idiot just for this song... well, not really. My favorite part is III: I Don't Care. I dunno what the whole song's about but it stands as one of my favorite Green Day songs.

This is War - Ill Nino (One Nation Underground)

3 words... Holy Feaking Crap! This song is amazing. I heard Ill Nino a couple of years ago but i have never been able to get any of their CDs until about 2 weeks ago. The song is excellent, heavy as hell and then goes into a smooth solo, then back to heavy. The song freaking rocks, heck the whole album rocks (especially tracks 7 and 11)!

Artist: Tego Calderon & Don Omar
Album: Don Omar: Hits
Song: Aunque Digan Que Soy * (I think)

Reggaeton. I don't like it much. Only listening to it because I need to make sure it is worth buying and such. I'll go out on a limb and assume it's a remix since the songs sound a bit different from their previous versions and such. Plus J.Lo appears in a song. As much as I dislike Reggaeton, I loathe J.Lo even more. Oh well, at least it is something new since I lost all of my music when my harddrive died.

Song: Ghost of Perdition
Artist: Opeth
Album: Ghost Reveries (2005)

Just recently I realized that I like this song very much. It's an awesome progressive rock/death metal track. Man.. I like this man's voice, both when he sings clean, and death metal style. I also like how this band switches between soft and heavy.

Holy Mountains - System of a Down

I love this song. It's the best off of Hypnotise to me. Its just powerful, the vocals are awesome. And the instruments are perfect. And I like the distortion on the guitar, the clean/soft/echo. It doesn't really sound like most of the other SOAD songs but it still rocks.
