Yep, another one of these threads. Old one is on the old board, but it might be interesting to see if this has changed from before. I also thought I'd ask not only about weight, but about body image this time around as well.

I think last time my questions were:

1. Are you happy with your weight?
2. If you're not happy with your weight, what are you doing to change (gain, lose) weight?
3. If you are happy with your weight, what (if anything) are you doing to maintain it?

And I'll add:

4. Are you happy with your body (regardless of weight)?
5. Has this improved from last time you answered these questions? (if you can remember)

And now for my answers:

1. I am still not happy with my weight, but I am happier so that's a start.

2. I'm trying still to eat better, and exercise more. I have an ear problem so I had to give up swimming; but I'm trying to walk more every day, and eat less junk. I'm also trying not to stuff myself silly on the non-junk foods I eat, and cut down on some of the slightly naughtier things I like (like fettucini carbonara.. so delicious... but SO much cream and bacon) I also try to drink a lot of water, and climb the stairs at work.

3. N/A

4. Despite not being happy with my weight, I'm actually reasonably happy with my body. This doesn't make much sense really. I think my body shape is fine, just a bit too big, if that makes sense. If I suck my belly in, I think I look pretty fkn good (if I do say so myself) This is an improvement from before, where I wasn't happy with the overall shape of my body (and I was even more overweight)

5. And yes, I've improved since last time I answered these questions. I've lost a little more weight, but generally I feel a little fitter and stuff. I can climb stairs without getting puffed out and such, and my jeans are now getting to the point where I think I need to budget for another pair (and punch another hole or two in my belt in the meantime). Since I started losing weight, I've lost over 13kg (28.6lbs), and I feel less tired and stuff too.

How about you guys?

okay..

1) I'm happyish with my weight. I don't feel like I have much of a reason to complain about it. I'm actually trying to gain a little weight which has been kind of a long term thing.

2) I've always been someone more likely to not eat enough rather than eating too much which kinda comes from laziness. What I'm doing most of the time therefore is just making sure I don't skip meals, forcing myself to go and cook etc. I'm avoiding junk food and sticking to (relatively) fresh and healthy stuff. I'm not after massive body building so it's not like I'm going crazy with weight gain powders or whatever. Just nice evening meals, lunches which fill me up rather than just take the edge off the hunger...that kinda thing. I'm also increasing the amount of exercise I do each day.

3) As I'm trying to gain weight, this should be N/A but in a way I'm trying to stop myself from slipping and losing weight again. During last year, I gradually got up to around 140lbs (about 63.5 kilos) but then in the summer I had a few personal problems and was a mess for a while. In the autumn when I checked myself out again, I noticed I'd lost about 14lbs which worried me. So I'm doing the above, making sure I don't skip meals. The danger is making do with snacking. I'm hungry so I'll have a small snack of some junk and that satisfies my hunger enough so that I don't have to go and cook or whatever.

4) beyond my weight I'm largely happy with my body image. I like my height, I have no features I'm desperate to change.

5) Well I never answered these questions before openly but on a personal basis, yes, I'm happier now than I was back in the Autumn. Since then I've only gained about 3lbs but I'm getting there and I have no intention of becoming a scary weight gain monster

1.) I'm not completely satisfied with a staggering 160-180lbs it but I'll live.

2.) It's been rather hard to maintain around 180 or above. My weight tends to fluctuate because of my rapid metabolism. To fight it off, I eat 5 to 6 meals a day. My diet consists mainly of protein and high calorie foods. Instead of waiting 30 minutes before exercising, I workout as quickly as I can. After about 2 months, I don't get very noticeable results but I'm still pushing it.

3.) Sometimes I'd gain alot of weight, which makes me happy. Last year around winter, I was around 215lbs then dropped back to 180. I'm doing alot of forearm exercises (one twist of both wrists x 1000, take a break, do another 1000). This exercise that I do doesn't have any limits except for tendon problems if you don't take a break. I cannot draw after that but I'm happy with bigger arm muscles. So far, my arms have gotten about 2 inches thicker. I'm fine with my abs and don't care too much about my legs.

4.) I could grow about another 2-3 inches.

5.) I grew 2 inches since the last time and gained about 25lbs.

1.) Yep.

2.) N/A

3.) Nothing really. My weight just seems to stay at the 100 lbs. mark(or lower). Must be all the water I drink to help me keep slim.

4.) I do wish I was a little taller than I am now. Otherwise I don't mind how my body looks.

5.) Meh as long as I stay slim/skinny I'm happy. Even if I gained a little weight I wouldn't mind THAT much.

1. Are you happy with your weight?
Yes. I used to not be.. I was anorexic in middle school. But.. yeah not anymore.. I love my food.

2. If you're not happy with your weight, what are you doing to change (gain, lose) weight?
Absolutely nothing.

3. If you are happy with your weight, what (if anything) are you doing to maintain it?
Eating plenty of chocolate and food to maintain that 110 [=

And I'll add:

4. Are you happy with your body (regardless of weight)?
I guess I can't really complain so much. I'm short... but whatever. And uh, there's something else I don't like that I don't really wanna share.

5. Has this improved from last time you answered these questions? (if you can remember)

I didn't... but it has definatly improved since middle school. (I'm in my junior year of highschool currently..)

Meh, I actually like little chubbiness on girls... as long it's not unhealthy for them.

1. Eh... well, there's two types of computer nerds. Underweight, and overweight ones... I belogn to the latter. And I could need to lose around lose 30 KG...

2. Not much to be honest, I decreased some in weight when I was at home so I guess I need to eat a better diet and don't be so frickking lazy when it comes to food. And I better get to loan that damn bicycle...

5. Eh... not at all. It's either the same or slightly worse.

1. Are you happy with your weight?
Yeah... I'm 120-135... It seems to wave around a fair amount... Not really sure if the changing is healthy, but it hasn't really affected me in a negative manner... And I'm 5'10".

2. If you're not happy with your weight, what are you doing to change (gain, lose) weight?

3. If you are happy with your weight, what (if anything) are you doing to maintain it?
Nothing.

4. Are you happy with your body (regardless of weight)?
Fairly... I could be a bit stronger and more toned... You can see a bunch of vains on my arms though... Which could be a bad or a good thing.

5. Has this improved from last time you answered these questions? (if you can remember)

1. Hmm... not really happy with my weight. Well not really the weight, but the amount of body fat, yes.

2. I'm trying to exercise more. xD

3. (can't comment)

4. I guess minus my body fat percentages, I guess my body is decent. I need braces. D:

5. Nope, never answered these kind of questions before.

1. Are you happy with your weight?
No. I used to be incredibly underweight (fluctuating between 120 and 130 lbs... I'm 5'11"), but I seem to be making my way up for the first time ever. I weigh 140 lbs now, which is still underweight, but it's the most I've ever weighed (I'm 23 years old).

2. If you're not happy with your weight, what are you doing to change (gain, lose) weight?
I eat about twice as much as the average 23 year old. This has always been the case, but only recently does it seem to be finally having an effect.

3. If you are happy with your weight, what (if anything) are you doing to maintain it?
N/A

4. Are you happy with your body (regardless of weight)?
I'd like to be more muscular, but building muscle has generally been impossible since all my life I've struggled to keep what little weight I've had. Hopefully this is also changing.

1. Are you happy with your weight? No. Trying to lose about 70 pounds... but that's where #2 comes in.
2. If you're not happy with your weight, what are you doing to change (gain, lose) weight? Joined a gym a week ago. I'm getting into the habit of going thrice weekly, and I'm keeping track of what I eat, trying to eat healthier. Got the calories down pat, but it's tough when you're on the road and have to rely on fast food/not cooking for yourself.
3. If you are happy with your weight, what (if anything) are you doing to maintain it?
4. Are you happy with your body (regardless of weight)? No, but only because of the composition. Less fat, more muscle, then yes.
5. Has this improved from last time you answered these questions? (if you can remember) Not really. But now, I'm actually trying to do something about it, so get back to me next year and see what I say.

1. Are you happy with your weight?

Yeah, though I'm actually pretty close to being underweight.

3. If you are happy with your weight, what (if anything) are you doing to maintain it?

I'm not doing anything. Well, sometimes I try to eat more healthy food, and less of the unhealthy. Not really because of the weight, though. More because I want to be as healthy as possible, in the general sense.

4. Are you happy with your body (regardless of weight)?

It's pretty slim, so in that sense, yes. I feel that I could need some more muscle though.

5. Has this improved from last time you answered these questions? (if you can remember)

Can't remember what or if I answered last time. But I may have actually lost weight, depending on at what time the last thread was made. I look pretty chubby on pictures from June/July 2004, for some reason.

1. Are you happy with your weight?

I'm a 210 lb landmonster, just the way I like it

2. If you're not happy with your weight, what are you doing to change (gain, lose) weight?

NOT APPLICABLE!

3. If you are happy with your weight, what (if anything) are you doing to maintain it?

High protein diet with lots of exercise

4. Are you happy with your body (regardless of weight)?

Fuck no! I may enjoy being the size of your common landmonster, but I don't like looking like one.

5. Has this improved from last time you answered these questions? (if you can remember)

Probably not.

1. Not really. I could do losing a good 20 pounds, then I'd have the figure I want.

2. Uh.. lose weight. 20 pounds. I don't know when, or how, but I will somehow.

3. --

4. Yeah, pretty much. It's not like I'm an extreme case, and I'm a happy person regardless. I'd just feel more comfortable with myself if I did lose some weight.

5. I don't think I answered these questions on the other board. If I did, then no. Because I still haven't lost any weight. :'(

I ecstatic with my weight 60 kg. As for my body what else could I want. I've got a six pack slightly larger than normal biceps and don't even have to try and diet or anyting (I eat like a horse and still burn it all up playing rugby).

1. Are you happy with your weight?

Yes, I'm okay with my weight which is 180 pounds.

3. If you are happy with your weight, what (if anything) are you doing to maintain it?

I eat a lot but I do set limits on what I eat so that I won't gain too much weight. Example would be not to eat a dessert at all if I ate a lot for lunch or supper.

4. Are you happy with your body (regardless of weight)?

I probably need to work out more because I have a hard time lifting heavy stuff because I rarely work out.

5. Has this improved from last time you answered these questions? (if you can remember)

Not really. When I did work out for the first time in a while, it was very hard at first and I did tire out quickly. Perhaps I should do this more often so that I won't get tired too easy.

1. Are you happy with your weight?
Yes, I'm happy with my weight. Though I weigh less than an avarage male my age. I weigh ~70 kg.
3. If you are happy with your weight, what (if anything) are you doing to maintain it?
Nah. I use to play soccer, but I quit just 4 mouths ago. Weird thing about me, I do not have to train to build muscles.
4. Are you happy with your body (regardless of weight)?
Yep, I'm well-trained and have no problem with my body. I don't have a 6-pack, but who does?
5. Has this improved from last time you answered these questions? (if you can remember)

1. Are you happy with your weight?

I'm okay with it. I am a bit underweight. I need a bit more mass and such. I'm not sickly skinny or anything like that, simply like 5-10 pounds underweight.

2. If you're not happy with your weight, what are you doing to change (gain, lose) weight?

I am eating more. Doing a bit more exercise to get healthy and stay in shape and not let the weight gain be all fat and such.

Question 3 Not Applicable

4. Are you happy with your body (regardless of weight)?

Not really. I want my chest to be a bit more muscular. I am running and lifting weights so all I need to do is stay in focus and not quit.

5. Has this improved from last time you answered these questions? (if you can remember)

Didn't answer this before.

1. Are you happy with your weight?
Not entirely. I'm about 5'10 and 150, but it's not exactly muscle. I need to lose some before my metabolism goes to hell.
2. If you're not happy with your weight, what are you doing to change (gain, lose) weight?
Probably nothing. Apathy/laziness is a bitch.
3. If you are happy with your weight, what (if anything) are you doing to maintain it?
4. Are you happy with your body (regardless of weight)?
Not really. I need to get buff soon, since I have a dynamite body, but it's not used, so the muscles are kinda like flab. I'm still relatively thin, though.

1. Are you happy with your weight?

No. I have no clue what happened, but I just lost a whole lot of weight and my body started behaving like I had a whole lot more. It's a pain. I think it may be lack of sleep though.

2. If you're not happy with your weight, what are you doing to change (gain, lose) weight?

I go on walks whenever I can. They're about 5 miles long and take an hour and 20 minutes though, so I miss out when I have homework or weather or a lack of time in my way.

And I do situps and pushups every night. But those are more for gaining muscle than anything. I mean... my legs are coated in muscle, there's no reason the rest of me shouldn't be. But it isn't.

4. Are you happy with your body (regardless of weight)?

No, it's misbehaving. I think a lack of sleep is killing my muscle control though. I should be better if I'm ever allowed to catch up on my sleep debt and start actually sleeping at night again.

5. Has this improved from last time you answered these questions? (if you can remember)

I'm sure that it'll be much better once I figure out whatever is wrong. But right now it's definately worse.
