Actually, they use Sonic Wall, and all it's awful keyword banning (games, naked, ect.) for site addresses. But it was kind of funny to see how it froze up the entire network when my friend typed his name in an address bar and got a porn site. =P

What is the point of a Gmail invite anyways? Why not just have people register on their own?

Not entirely true. You can register using a Mobile Phone if you live in the United States. This feature does not work elsewhere.

Otherwise, yes, you need an invite.

You can easily register a G-Mail account if you already have one set up. And Alastor is right, no one can have enough G-Mail accounts. I mean 2.5GB free storage space and climbing. Just rename the extension of a certain file if it doesnt let you upload it.

Although not quite as much space, one could say the same about Yahoo!. But honestly, I think one would have to work hard to fill their email account with 2.5 gigs of stuff. Or at least those who have dial-up. =P

Turned out that I have 100 Gmail invitations too. I donīt know what people to send them to and there are other good mail services such as Yahoo, too.

Hotmail works fine for me.

Yeah, everyone gets 100 and it refills periodically. I don't see why they don't just make it public at this point.

Also, at 90% of schools, you barely need to be able to work a keyboard to get around content filters. And local security systems aren't much better.
