I was sitting here looking at my NES and was thinking "Hey, it'd be cool to make a custom PC case that looks like my NES!"

Does anyone know if this has been done before or not?

If not, I think it's a pretty good idea... hell, I think it's a pretty good idea either way!

Yeah people have done it, but the NES is pretty small for a PC so it's pretty tricky.

Yeah it's been done. You have to use a mini-itx board.

Instructions for your little project can be found here. As well as a cigar case, a ceramic cow, lego, sega genesis, mini beer thing, etc.

I did technically start on one a few years back.

It has a 1GHz processor and 256MB of PC133. I just need a mini-IDE to IDE adaptor for the laptop drive I want to put in.

There was one ate-bay on a much cooler approach. The keyboard and mouse had the same "jack"(socket?) as nes controllers, and the cartridge slot was creatively replaced by a dvd drive. It was pretty cool.
