| Yesa, this is a different computer. Well, guess what. I'm having yet another hard drive problem, this one being just making it work. On this new computer I built myself, I go into the bootup with the CD-rom drive. Well then, it boots up the Windows installation thing and everything, and then I go to install the extra drivers needed for SATA.... but it needs a floppy drive, which I conveniently don't have. So I go into three other computers and try to borrow their floppy drives. The first floppy drive won't come out without me taking out ALL OF THAT COMPUTER'S MEMORY AND THE PROCESSOR. The second one is blocked by a satanic power cable which will not come out of the hard drive below it. And the final one, contrary to some tales, was not just right. It was so easy to get at... BUT I HAD NOT THE SCREWDRIVER TO UNSCREW IT WITH.
So, naturally, I'm angry, and mad, and insane. I go through the hassle to put all three computers back together, hoping that the two older ones were not injured during all the bumping and moving. I do all of this, trying to get the stuff out of the way so that we can have an orderly Dinner area. And instead... I just get annoyed. I'm going to buy a new floppy drive even though I will only use it once. Unless... there is some way to get around this? Perhaps there is something I should know? I was really unsure where to put this, forum-wise, but I do want some technical info... That is, if you haven't just scrolled down to this line without reading  |

| Whoa- Do motherboards and the like not use screws anymore? If the only thing you're missing is the floppy, how did you ge tthe rest of your system in?
I've never seen a computer system that didn't use screws for everything. |

| I have screwdrivers and screws, however the floppy drive in question has different sized screws and I don't have a screwdriver to remove it with.
In other news--went to Best Buy to buy an internal Floppy Drive, and they didn't have one. Beautiful. |

| You really should have a floppy drive. Despite their age, they're still pretty useful. Though I'd suggest you borrow whatever screwdriver you need, take out that one with the funny screws, use it, put it back, screw it in with normal screws, and smack whoever used funny ones. Maybe return the screwdriver too. | |||

| Dude. You could probably use nLite and integrate the SATA drivers into the Windows XP CD. That would fix the problem without you having to do anthing with hardware.
